  1. Much more useful. Looks like there is a link to globalpoweringgathering.com.
  2. Beast wasn't first. Before it was built, someone else had the record for the longest wooden coaster.
  3. The train has been off the MCBR since at least Wednesday.
  4. Exactly! The price is very fair. If you can't wait in line with everyone else, you will have to pay. Let's not forget, KI offers VIP Tours, which includes front of the line passes for $249.00 a person. It's up to you to decide if the other benefits are worth the additional $200.00.
  5. Alright. Makes much more sense. I thought KI had a different account here on KIC.
  6. You trust their Facebook account, but not their Twitter?
  7. How many $4.00 pops though does it take change that though? Or if you compare gate prices, Holiday World wins. It's not quite a fair comparison when you look at discounted KI ticket vs. full price Holiday World ticket. (I've even seen buy two separate tickets for the price of one promotion at Holiday World.)
  8. When I went last Sunday, waiting through the normal line was actually shorter then the single rider line. (A group of four kids directly behind me, obviously together, jumped from the normal line to the single rider line. I was happy when we beat them.)
  9. Very excited to hear what he has to say about our park! I'm going to Kings Island tomorrow, but only for a few hours. I figured while I'm in the area, why not stop by?
  10. Son of Beast is less then the walk from Firehawk.
  11. Of course Vortex is a girl. Look how close she is to The Beast. And where do you think Sonny got his loop? Made me chuckle. It would be really fitting if Sonny got the Texas Giant treatment.
  12. Also in the absurd catagory is the actual cost to purchase those lockers: http://securacoinlocker.com/coin-sizes.php Thanks for posting that. It's quite interesting to see just how much those cost.
  13. Sunday through Friday at 9:30. It's everyday of the week.
  14. Which is more then fine and understandable. I simply brought it up when he grouped everyone who objected together as whiners.
  15. Just because the quote said "law" doesn't mean there was a law lesson. But, it's time to get back on topic. As for CedarPointer, I'm torn to agree with you. As happy as I am for this change, this biggest reason I was upset at the change to WindSeeker/Vortex was because they originally advertised Beast/Diamondback. And now, they just did the same thing. Advertise one thing, then switch.
  16. Try re-reading. I never said it was breaking the law by any means. I was one of those people who were upset over the decision to move from Beast/Diamondback to Vortex/WindSeeker, so trust me, I've been called a "whiner" by many on this site. I'm just sort of confused why skaterboy and others label people who simply state their opinion as "whiners". Yes, I know a few select members have taken it pretty far, but there are quite a few of us who have kept our opinion in one topic, and yet are seen as "whiners". I don't understand where you see a "law lesson" here at all. It was a pretty simple, albeit lame, joke.
  17. There is no way that just a few people voicing their opinion would make the park change the ERT. I'd really be interested in knowing just how many people stopped by guest services over this issue. Especially after only one week of Vortex/WindSeeker. On a side note, why is someone voicing their opinion considered whining on this site? Good thing the first amendment wasn't written by members of this site...
  18. Maybe some Beast pawprints in there too? One can hope.
  19. Just wanted to share a picture from Sunday.
  20. I've actually have started to like Vortex this year. I guess I've finally have learned how to ride it, and it makes it quite fun. On the side note, I talked to one of the ride ops who was standing outside of WindSeeker during Sunday's ERT. I know this isn't the best source of information, so take it for what it's worth. But, he told us that they've (WindSeeker ride op's) been told that WindSeeker will operate in the rain. He said the reason it was closed Sunday morning was because they were doing routine maintenance inspection, and the ride was expected to be open later in the day. The ride never did open. About an hour later, the temporary line was removed, and a sign was put up that said WindSeeker will be closed for the day. Around lunch time, the outside marquee sign had WindSeeker listed under the rides that weren't expected to be open for the day. It was not on that list at 9:30 in the morning. It certainly makes it appear that they found something.
  21. Thanks for the post! Very informative. I might have to write down a few numbers until I find one I really like... just in case the first picture is the best!
