Like DIeseltech said, (and as apparent by my screen shots), I'm on Firefox on OSX, and still have the errors.

Kings Island has stated it's a long term attraction, so I would be surprised if they didn't buy them from the previous owner.

I completely see where you are coming from, but you also have to remember DA closes at sun down, not with rest of the park. Meaning, there probably isn't a whole bunch of lighting, so I'm assuming at night, you won't be able to see much. I think DA is a great opportunity for a haunt, I just doubt the dinosaurs would be involved in any particular way, besides simply sitting there.

Have you tried Priceline or any of those websites?

Is that a security cam at the top of the second hill on Beast?

There was talk about this in another thread, but the answer is no. But, it used to have four rows per train. I'm just not sure if it still ran all 6 cars at that time.

Wow! Doing the math (assuming it was three rows per car, not the 4 when it initially opened), 1680/36(riders per train) = 46 2/3 train (rounding up) = 47 trains. 60(minutes per hour)/47=1.27, which means 1 train was dispatched every 1 minute, and 16 seconds! (Which leads to the question, how did they have enough trains? Train 1 leaves the station, so, it takes 1 minute, 16 seconds for both train 2 and train 3 to leave, train 1 is then only 2minutes, 32 seconds into it's journey...)

I'm not a huge fan of it, but it's a map. I never even look at one. Just a few more trees would be nice (everything seems so spaced out, I think the trees would help "fill in" the map.)

Both of those coaster's turn arounds do not branch out like Racer's does. I would love to see it repainted the White/Red/Blue again though.

Now I'm slightly worried about my Gold Pass (never had one before, I bought it in October when they had their $69.99 deal). I guess I still have a few weeks to dig up those receipts.

Cedar Fair Would that be the same company deciding the fate of Son of Beast? Terp, who likes to ask questions aleast now your saying DECIDING instead of CLOSED. The Interpreter is probably the most respected member on this site. He chooses his words carefully, and very rarely will tell you his actual opinion (if ever.) I would never try to pick a fight with him. Don't try to put words in his mouth. It won't work out for you.

Personally, I agree that Kings Island is looking at this as an option, but in no time for this year. If anything, I wouldn't expect Kings Island to make a decision if Son of Beast should get the same treatment until Texas Giant has had about a year of operation under it's belt. I'm a huge Son of Beast fan, don't get me wrong, but that doesn't mean I can't be reasonable. We have seen no work done on this ride. Look at Blue Streak over at Conneaut. That ride was closed for three years, and look at the amount of work that went into it before it reopened. At only a quarter of the length, it took quite some time in order to get the ride in operational state. Kings Island has posted a "Expected Operational Rides" for Math and Science days this year. I've been watching the webcam for quite some time, and today is the first Sunday I have seen this much work going on. Either they are a little bit behind, or just taking advantage of this weather!

There was one video I was watching about Roller Coasters (It may have been The Beast's 25th QTV one), that had something about this very subject. In short, the video said something along the lines of "Free Fall equations do not account for weight, but everyone knows that a heavier train is going to run faster then a lighter one." (I really wish I could find the source of this.) I'm not at all saying the laws of physics are wrong, or that this "mystery" could account for 8mph. I just thought it was something interesting to share.

Those videos usually don't include the overnight photos. There actually was another one of a police car, and how it looked, it made me believe both are security cars. I'll see if I can find them again.
