  1. Anyone seen wearing the Adventure Express one yet is a confirmed liar, lol.
  2. Title says it all. It's there, but can't be edited. Edit to clarify: It shows on the profile, but isn't available in Edit Profile.
  3. Jumping the gun a little on Adventure Express, but a nice set regardless.
  4. I never really considered it line jumping because the line was never actually back that far, but it would be interesting if there had been a camera aimed at "that spot" on the Top Gun exit and someone keeping an official count of how many people took the shortcut to ride SoB over the years. Unless they needed some kind of emergency quick evac from the SoB queue, I'm really not sure why there was just a chain there. It was useful when it became Wolf Pack as the entrance, but it always seemed like it should have just been normal railing.
  5. It's like the painters and construction crews know what they're doing. Crazy, huh?
  6. It's almost like Titan track exists for a reason...
  7. Yeah, once the rides are installed they can get to the landscaping and theming, and like I said there are plenty of weekdays before daily ops start to work on the various projects. Adventure Port with AE theme job is the major thing but there's still the Diamondback paint to complete, a new restaurant to open, a restaurant to complete relocating, VIP lounge to finish building, etc. I think by the start of daily operations everything will be in order, Adventure Port might not be open right then but they can really crank out work during the weekdays this time of year so it's too early to judge.
  8. Weather is also a factor. Landscaping in April in Ohio? You never know if it might be freezing again. To me it looks like the usual April conditions for the landscaping.
  9. Yeah, I mean, first weekend is still usually a work in progress cosmetically. They went all out last year for the 50th so returning to a more typical early season situation is probably just tossing people off. I would say Adventure Port is probably behind schedule, but that was already announced to be a summer opening. I'm sure they'll get Grain and Grill and the relocated TomChee open soon, and Diamondback's paint will probably get completed before daily operations. Lots of weekdays to get stuff ship-shape.
  10. To be fair, there wasn't much they could do during WinterFest without disrupting that area, too much, and especially in December there were some VERY COLD spells where things like ride foundations and other "behind the fence" work wouldn't have been feasible. They'll get it done, and I wouldn't rush to judgement about the quality of the theming based on where things are now. Once the rides are installed, focus can shift to landscaping, signage, etc.
  11. I do wish they'd used the pottery-shaded concrete on the Mercado deck. Also, I'm wondering if there's additional concrete work to be done, considering the surfacing around the airbrush shirt building and the paths between it and Enrique's/Mercado are still old. Guess we'll see next weekend what gets done during the upcoming week.
  12. That fence over to Showplace has aged well, but specifically I was referring to the part around the pool's mechanical works. It's stayed very light over time, but that might be from waterproofing.
  13. In at least some parts it looks like the track itself has also gotten a preliminary white coat.
  14. I don't think Blue is gonna be doing much winning this year...
  15. Yeah, I was REALLY glad to see the transfer/storage structure painted, it fits in so much better. The pool is the cleanest I've seen it for a while, pretty sure they either painted or blasted the concrete. I was hoping the light pine fences would get a darker color to match, but overall it's great, just need to get the rest of the ride done.
  16. (Also, yippie ki-yay, the Diamondback train storage structure and transfer is included in the repaint as I'd hoped.)
  17. I know some people wanted pavers but I think the pottery-shade concrete is a perfect fit.
  18. At least we don't have seagulls. I won a Cedar Point park-flown banner at one of the winter events once and it took a while to clean it...
  19. The interior queue structure would be perfect to change from a cave to a mine shaft entrance, and remove the big box for a proper Rivertown-fitting ride. I wonder if Gravity Group could build something like Indiana Beach's Lost Coaster using a steel structure and prefab track themed to carts on an abandoned mine track...
  20. Linus Launcher being relocated would be a perfect opportunity to retheme the flume and return it to Rivertown. That location for it would be very out of place if the flume switched back but a Snoopy ride stayed right there. Tear up the concrete between the flume queue and the Flying Ace exit, landscape it up to create separation, and you've got a proper area border again. Diamondback's lift structure is looking good in the background of that photo, the completed project will be so much better than it's been since the first few seasons before the fading started, and the color scheme will fit Rivertown properly.
  21. There's also a hold brake inside the tunnel just before the loading station.
  22. I think I still have some of the "Tomb Raider may or may not work today" handouts from the tolls from 2002 somewhere. Personally I liked the old magnetic boards better because there was no waiting through a scroll, everything was visible at a glance.
  23. Diamondback track paint has entered the Mystic cam view.
  24. Based on the webcam it seems almost like a ride foundation is being installed, makes me wonder if a plan changed and Sol Spin will take the Skylab spot and the new AE entrance and exit will be between the two new rides.
