  1. The circle looks like it could be the start of a foundation for the outdoor "grassy hill" part of the overall playground as seen in the renderings. The location is just about spot on.
  2. The back of the park is eerie in such situations. I've been among, if not the last to leave The Beast plaza numerous times and routed around through Rivertown because the direct path to the Eiffel Tower had already been cleared and guarded for the night, and especially before Mystic Timbers the area where the station and queue are now was really creepy because of the old worn-down funnel cake building and patio with no lights on.
  3. Drop Tower would be unnerving for sure because of how open the vehicle is, but WindSeeker wouldn't be so bad. It also has emergency magnetic brakes on the tower in case of a problem with the cables. I'd be uneasy about using the evac platform system on WindSeeker but fortunately that mostly exists because of an early incident at Knott's and hasn't been needed at any of the other parks.
  4. Emphasize the "mature audiences" part more, and maybe ditch the no-boo necklaces. If it means doing the KD method of separate ticket but passes are still good, I'd be all for it.
  5. And so can anyone, including fake accounts. I know the corporate-level checkmarks are gold, but how many people will notice anything more than the typical blue-check on a very close fake?
  6. A lot of the Haunt tombstones and whatnot are quite old now, although I'm surprised to see the Area 72 van peeling like that.
  7. On the Haunt Code of Conduct page, they're going the limited see-through bag route. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/haunt/conduct-policy-and-guidelines
  8. The ones with a close line of sight to Adventure Port around the first drop area could be relocated.
  9. Okay, two possibilities here. One, this is a photo from before they finished painting this part of the ride in April. Two, that new paint isn't doing so well on the track, because the rails are down to bare steel through the pool and climb, and looks faded on the climb.
  10. Huh. I've never noticed that gate on the exit path fence before. Is that from when they had a Haunt maze running through there?
  11. Say what now? Paramount and CBS were both owned by Viacom until 2005, when they split the company so Viacom and CBS were their own entities. Paramount and the cable networks stayed with Viacom, while the Paramount Parks division was placed as part of CBS. CBS then sold Paramount Parks to Cedar Fair in 2006. In 2019 CBS and Viacom merged back together as ViacomCBS, and is now known as Paramount Global. CBS All Access expanded and became Paramount+ after this happened.
  12. The track is removed but the bents themselves are relocated.
  13. I hope they get back to Diamondback's repaint soon, I know Baynum is currently working on a VERY large structure at Cedar Point, but I really don't want to end up having the weather get too cold to complete it during this season...
  14. For capacity it would be nice if, in the event they upgrade the trains on Flying Ace, they got two of them. For a full circuit coaster of that size, the one-train operation is brutal.
  15. I was seeing Planet Snoopy, Kings Island and Vekoma in my trending list this afternoon. Edit: Seeing Kings Island in trending right now.
  16. There hasn't been a proper playground area since McScrappy's Farm got taken out. The old Splat City had both a climbing structure (FAAC is on that site now) and the water maze, but those were more "active" things.
  17. It’s such a misuse of Showplace. Put Showplace back to how it was and have the main summer music show and a proper Haunt show on the lines of Dead Awakening or Hot Blooded back there again, and find somewhere to set up temporary venues for the bike shows.
  18. Regarding Planet Snoopy, a little while back someone said a Camp Snoopy conversion could be the end of the Snoopy Boutique shop in the old skyride station. I disagree, that building is perfectly fine. Personally, if anything current aside from the amphitheater is in the way of improvements, it’s Woodstock Whirlybirds. The station and queue structure takes up a good amount of space, and the track and support columns cause both height clearance and ground interference around the entire route. The capacity isn’t great and it’s just kind of in the way around the main core of the area.
  19. Is this finally the end for the remnants of the failed Intamin flume ride?
  20. Looks like a transportable model of the ride, I guess the operators don't know the carnival trick of walking around back and unplugging it.
  21. Well I was wrong, good thing I'm not into betting! I guess they figure Dragster was the most commonly known part of the name, so Top Thrill 2 for two towers works out?
  22. I fully expect the name is a placeholder, and that's interesting regarding the stats. The speed of the reverse launch that's listed certainly wouldn't require a 420-foot spike... It's obviously an incomplete placeholder page, all the images were generic stock photos, and again Top Thrill 2 would be like Son of Beast.
  23. Remember B&M and SkyHigh on the contractor list? If Flying Ace gets replaced, there's also this option: https://bolliger-mabillard.com/product/family-coaster
