On what basis do you assert they should know - simply because they are laboring in the hot sun all day? That doesn't mean anything. They're simply doing their jobs, which is to pour concrete footers at specific coordinates on the ground.
-
But wouldnt you think that they would would have to know the layout in order to poor in the footers No. They don't necessarily need to know the layout. They only need to know the exact ground coordinates where footers are supposed to be poured. They might be able to get a general scope of the project, but it's impossible to say which direction any given piece of track would be oriented on a specific footer, or even what type of coaster it would be.

A little off-topic....since Full Throttle has been mentioned (I still hope we don't get anything like that...too gimmicky), I saw a video of it rolling back at night. Check it out:

I'm sure he still wouldn't tell anyone. For as much as we want to speculate about who knows, the people who actually do know aren't going to say anything because they could probably get in a lot of trouble....including Don. Don does have a boss above him, let's remember that.
-
Who are they? They are the people who know, but won't tell you they know. I think the only person who actually knows is Don. And he's not going to tell you anything.
-
Yes, I've noticed that. Perhaps he/she knows what we are getting next year.
-
Any chance they may have changed boats over the years? The ride used to be called "Amazon Falls", so maybe when they did the name change, they got different boats...?

I think we all have way too much time on our hands.

I don't have Facebook, so I wouldn't have seen it. But I don't think it's a hint. It's just a play on words....making a "splash" means you're doing something to get yourself noticed, but in this case it's just a clever way of captioning that photo...and "dropping by" simply means "visiting". I highly doubt it's any sort of secret code aimed at coaster enthusiasts about the new project for next year.

Where did you see that quote?

I think you might want to adjust the brightness setting on your monitor. Those are definitely not black. They look like bare metal.

Ahh. Thanks so much!

Any chance those are defective pieces of track lying around outside, not to be used for a coaster? After all, wouldn't they be painted if they were waiting to be picked up and transported?

I thought the other track that went over to Europe was green...? http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27275-starting-to-decode-2014/?p=516952

I'm honestly not sure how to respond to that. Please don't tell me that was a hint that we're getting something like Full Throttle...? Because that would be seriously boring, unless they can drop the rear-launch gimmick and add more inversions to it. Maybe we're getting a giga coaster with an ice-cream splashdown. Are you willing to pay their ticket and all legal fees when they get arrested for trespassing? Uh huh...didn't think so. It's probably best not to encourage people to do something illegal.

This is a link to his YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuIibmvgwH0kssDdmne0p3Q I've tried doing a Google search for him, but can't find much.

Well that confirms where the station is going. Has anyone noticed that or is that old news and I missed it? Look at post #4065. The blueprint is fake. Let me clarify. When I said it was fake, I meant it's not a real blueprint. I have no idea if that's where the station will be or not. This simply looks like a sketch someone made of the positioning of the footers as they have been constructed to this point. Part of the sketch certainly looks hand drawn, but the lettering is actually not bad. He's either very good at hand lettering (something I always hated doing), or he used a lettering stencil. If I had to guess, I'd say it's just something he's drawing up for his own personal enjoyment.

I went to school for drafting, so I know how to draw blueprints, and that is so obviously fake.

^That'll be the day. Stop dreaming, guys. Never gonna happen.

I'm with Terp on this one. I think you mean jet themed coaster.

I remember the early 70s well, when the train still had the cowboys and indians skit. It used to be one of my favorite rides, and it was actually a ride...not just a transport system like it is now. You didn't stop to let guests on and off at the water park. The only time you did stop was when the train robbers stopped the train, and I distinctly remember they had toy guns. The guns looked real, until you saw the end of the barrel and it was plugged up. One time I was riding it and a kid actually told the guy "That's not a real gun". The actor pointed it at him and ad-libbed something like "Shut up, boy, or you might get hurt". It was fun. That was when Rivertown was actually Rivertown, and you felt like you were in a different time when you were in that part of the park.

I don't think there's a whole lot of discussing that can actually take place right now anyway. Everybody has pretty much run the gamut of possibilities, and all we can really do is wait until we see track being installed. Get a hobby...like me. I find smilies to plaster all over my posts which help to better express my thoughts and generally drive people up a wall.

Eh...no offense, but aside from the "high five" section (gimmick), I don't see it as anything particularly special other than being a racing coaster. Sure...it looks fun. But no big deal.
