Obviously that’s not true! OH! So now I’m being psychoanalyzed by a fellow member…where should I send the bill? It actually has nothing to do with either…I just would like to work on a simple concept…the same one that we all learned in grade school…EVERYONE waits their turn! Why did they bother even teaching that lesson if that is not what they consider to be the fairest method? If the world is supposed to work on the “richer you are, the “better” you are“ principle, why not have 2 water fountains, 2 slides…at school, one for the “common” children and one for the more affluent…after all, the children only have so much time during recess, why shouldn’t the one’s who’s parents can afford it be able to slide more? I think what REALLY bothers me is that it all comes down to money…not whether the person is deserving. I would like for ANYONE to explain how it is fair that you can have 2 families that each drive the same distance for the same amount of time at the park and the only difference is the family’s disposable income…why does it seem fair that the family with more money is allowed to step in line ahead of the other family? (And might I add, making THEM wait longer in line…which means they get LESS for their money?) Can you imagine a system that allowed the bigger/stronger people to skip ahead of the line? (Please, no Kings Island line-jumping jokes!) No one would consider that a fair system…why should someone’s income be any different? So, at the end of my rant I will say that no, I am not naïve to how the world truly works…but it doesn’t mean that I have to agree with it or help it along. P.S. goodyellowkorn182, I hope you did not take my original post as a direct insult to your original post…I did not mean it that way. I re-read my post late last night and worried that it might have been taken that way…I hope you know that I ALWAYS like hearing what you have to say.

Since Avatar started it...i'll think outside the box Island and go with Pirates Of The Caribbean!
-
I think this is a great idea...after all, why should people who have more money be expected to stand in line with all of "those" people...their time IS worth more money. Plus, periodically the park can keep adding an additional higher level line...that way the people who have even more money than the people who have more money than the people...

Pretty good show, not as good as: The old Warner Brother cartoons.

For All You Parents Who Say Your Kids Don't Know Peanuts

^Malcolm is NOT at the dentist...look closer...or go rent "A Clockwork Orange"! -
This is a sad statement...especially since I know that you love the park.

Zach/Ki Man, Thanks for sharing your pictures...as always some very nice work there! I would say that this is my favorite: The dark crashing waves are an interesting contrast to the well lit coaster.

Why you would HOPE that I have no idea...the artists deserve to make a living just like everyone else...and so do I. Even with LEGAL downloading the artists do not make as much money as they do when someone buys a CD...which is why some artists took longer to buckle to having their songs available for downloading. And as for your answer, NO I can NOT count the amount of CDs that we sell to anyone under 10 years old on my fingers...thanks to the Now CD series and artists like the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift..etc. we still sell CDs to kids...but admitedly not in ANYWHERE near the numbers that we did in our heyday. Like I said, I have been doing this job for over 20 years...plus my Brother-In-Law owns a record label...I may not know nearly as much about Kings Island as a lot of people on this board, but I DO know the retail music business. There is not much to do in this town...and the event is happy to get anyone's money they can...if they could figure out how to bus the inmates over from our Federal Prison they would.

Hmmm....I wonder if someone from Cedar Fair was at this auction last month: http://www.clarionledger.com/article/20091...-15K-at-auction

Not with kids...unless you count the couple of songs in the Lilo & Stitch movie. I have worked in a record/music store for over 20 years...I can count how many Elvis CDs that I have sold to anyone under 10 on my fingers. In my original statement I was just trying to clarify the demographic of who was decorating the trees at this event...there were no "younger" themes like The Simpsons, Nick, Jonas Bros., Miley Cyrus...this is an event geared towards the over 40 crowd...and The Peanuts fit right in!
-
But do keep in mind that they also had two "Elvis" trees, and one with nothing but photo ornaments of local physicians who have passed away!
-
That was close...at least we can still post a complaint!
-
That would be one interesting off-season blues party! And now that we know that some people at park believes that the "C" in KIC stands for complainers, i'm surprised that the park hasn't offered to bus all of us members over to the meeting...who knows what we could accomplish!

OH BABY!!! Today I feel redeemed! I went to my town’s annual Christmas event called “Festival Of Trees”…it is where different people put together themed trees and display them. (It really isn’t very exciting…but we took my Aunt.) Anyway, there was a tree themed all with Peanuts characters…as we were standing there looking at it a class of Grade School kids arrived with their teacher…she sweetly said “Oh look…it’s The Peanuts…how many of you know who The Peanuts are?” (I couldn’t believe my luck…it was as if she was reading my mind!) NOT ONE of those 20-25 kids either raised their hands or claimed that they knew them. I felt like pumping my fist in the air and screaming YEAH!
-
I imagine this is a more realistic representation of what the event would REALLY be like:

Avatar...sounds like we'll almost be doing the same thing this winter...for the last 2 winters I have concentrated on organizing my photos...and I haven't finished yet...but winter is always a good time to lay them all out while you are watching TV! I ALSO have old 8mm home movies and videotapes to go through...but at the rate I am going, that is still a couple of winters away. By the way...the Scooby sneak peak video is COOL...it's the "old school" Scooby! I thought it was interesting that he didn't seem to have a "handler" with him. Thanks for sharing!

But, on the plus side, she HAS heard of Santa Claus...so that must mean that yes Terpy he does exist!

Yes. I guess that's another post for my new coffee-table i've been working on: (It's a book that you couldn't care less about reading.)

A Christmas Themed opening on my wish list.

I agree...I think it took longer waiting for the tram...then getting on and off than it does just to walk. You were just on the wrong train with the wrong people...and maybe the wrong "Johnny"...for my family this was probably the highlight of our trip! We cheered the guy along and sang with him and he seemed to give back 110% since he had someone to "bounce off of". I guess it's like some of the Haunts...you have to hit them at the right time. -
They actually ditched the animals also...but I don't know if it was simply because of their smell...or if they had complaints...does anyone else know?

Actually I think it would be a little MORE than 5 seconds because I think they would all be sitting there replaying it in their heads for a minute or so to make sure they just heard what they thought they had heard! -
Jesse, Nice photos...I really like this effect!

But wouldn't it truly be a wonderful world if Mr. Kinzel at a stock-holder meeting would say "Gentlemen, to h*ll with profit...this is our Christmas present our loyal customers".
