You are 100% right on that terp 2 wrongs dont make a right. but three lefts do make a right
-
wow, to me that means that something that went unnoticed in the last inspection could snowball into a much bigger problem, for example, a couple of nails on a piece of wood that was located towards the bottom of a lift structure had wiggled loose, and then under the pressure of the weight of the entire lift hill element the nails fell the rest of the way out and caused a colapse. so in other words something that would be a simple fix, turns into a nightmare of a repair. or am i just over thinking this.

i have a question, when a wooden roller coaster goes down for an extensive period, does the daily walk throughs/ inspections still occur, or does the park suspend them until the ride reopens?
-
and as soon as terpy starts to remove the hood that hides his face in the shadows, he takes it and pulls it even further down over his face.
-
terpy, i'm going to agree with you, but i guess you have to give Cedar Fair credit for not going solid red.
-
to me white seems to get dirty very quickly, look at top thrill dragster for example, and to me gray makes it look like all they did was put primer on the track and didn't even bother to finish the job.
-
i think it would look pretty sweet with a really deep, dark purple for the tracks and black supports.
-
^actually, the green train has been setting there ever since they removed it in november
-
i just noticed that Diamondback's trains were never took off site. the red and brown are still setting in the maintance shed, and the green one is setting on the ground behind the shed on carts.

How would you describe Son of Beast's roughness?
coaster_junky replied to McSalsa's topic in KI Polls
nobody had a "dag near stroke" after riding Son of Beast last year that caused the ride to close (a woman reported bursting a blood vessel in her skull), and the trains on Son of Beast are safe, if they wern't then it never would have been cleared to run with them when it reopened in '07. -
the first thing construction wise with Diamondback happened on october 11, 2007 (according to the Diamondback blog), i don't see how in less than a year Cedar Fair decided what to build, where to get it, and started construction, unless however Cedar Fair had for whatever reason already planed for an attraction to go into rivertown before Kings Island was ever purchaced from paramount. but hey, i'm not going to argue with the parks p.r.
-
^ not too sure about Diamondback, it takes a long time to plan out something that large.
-
ah, so that's what it is, they only have two trains designed to run in the rain, and we blamed it on Cedar Fair's safety rules. I think that was a typo they don't have trains that only run in the rain. this i was already aware of. , i guess i should have added a

^if paramount still owned Kings Island, Firehawk wouldn't even be at Kings Island

if the deal goes through with apollo, does it turn the unsuccessfully into a successfully?
-
yes, they do still own worlds of fun. a map showing all amusment parks, water parks, and amusment/water parks can be found here: http://www.cedarfair.com/

i'm actually not that big of a fan of the new paint job, orange is my absolute, least favorite color, but i'm just hoping all goes well with the complete transformation of nick u. to Planet Snoopy(and still in shock that Cedar Fair didn't decide on red ).
-
the support structure is being painted orange (used to be green), and the track appears to be staying yellow as before.
-
seeing these pictures almost makes me wish that you could go walk around the park during it's winter rehab, i think it would be amazing to get to see all of this stuff going on in person (expecially since when we went last year there was only a little work going on in the Diamondback station).

What Ride Do You sit in 1st seat?
coaster_junky replied to Son of Beast Savior's topic in Kings Island
i've rode Diamondback at night in both row 1 and row 16, and i must say, it's amazing getting to dangle off the chain lift in the very front only seeing a few little light poles lighting the ground below and it's equally amazing getting the extreme ejecter air coming over the tops of the hills in the very back when you cannot see when you are about to clear the top of one. -
Kings Island's Eiffel Tower Construction
coaster_junky replied to coaster_junky's topic in Kings Island
sorry, just fixed the link to take you directly to the Kings Island section, there is also a picture of a not completed international street a little further down from the picture of the Eiffel Tower. -
okay, i searched and didn't see anything on this, but i found a little article about the construction of Kings Island's effiel tower, along with a picture of the tower before completed. here's the link: http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/search/label/Kings%20Island
