  1. -NO MORE TECHNO! Now there's a really cool/creepy wind blowing as you enter. When the ride starts, it's more of an adventurous type theme that's really nice and fits in.

i was fortunate to not have to hear the techno music, but the wind blowing noise gets really annoying after about 2 minutes of hearing.

  2. I have a question...how many trains is SOB running..2 or 3?

Kings Island only owns two trains.

really now? did you not read the post that was 2 before yours? ki has the trains from villain! plus if ki only owned 2 trains how in the world would they be able to have 13 other coasters there?

  3. They probaly didn't sell enough videos to keep the cameras on there.

they only had them on for the last 3 or 4 months of park operation, i don't think they kept them on long enough for people to know about them.

  4. Do any of the indoor rides close in the rain? I have never been on a rainy day (except opening day 2008) and never rode any indoor rides during that period.

i don't know about Kings Island but at Cedar Point they close disaster trasport when it rains(and it seems to take the longest to start back up.)

  5. So in other words, you're basically saying that the 16 year-old requirement is NOT due to any additional thrill, but rather KI doesn't want a kid sitting next to the entry door??

Like in a similar situation to sitting by the exit/emergency door on an airplane?

yes, the only reason ki doesn't want children setting there is because they are not as big as the adults in the row therefore they could slip out of the open seat.

  6. I would like to see a rusted-looking coaster for KI in that area, but who knows? It could very well be going overseas for all we know.

we already do, it's flight deck ;) (the only bad thing is it is real rust.)

  7. on may 10 i was at the park while the music in the parks was going on and while i was standing in line for the red racer there were two girls standing behind me, one was telling the other how the red racer went backwards and while she was telling the other that the red racer came out forward, so then (i guess to not look wrong) the first girl told the other that one of the trains on the red racer went forward while the other one still went backwards.

  8. since we are talking about this area, what is the big hole they have dug for? when i rode Son of Beast yesterday i looked over at the graveyard on the mid-course brake run and saw that they have dug a huge hole right next to the track.

  9. Why would The Crypt no longer be called a Giant Top Spin? True, it doesn`t have as many seats as it once did. But it is still larger (in terms of height that the gondola actually spins through, then standard HUSS Top Spins.

i just wasn't sure because even though it is taller than a top spin i thought what made it a giant top spin was it having such a greater amount of seats(the three rows and the longer rows)

  10. well here was how my first trip to Kings Island was(today)

got to the park at 1:00

got in the park at 1:30 (got my season pass processed)

got in line for the crypt as soon as i got there and waited maybe around half an hour( better if it had theming in ride)

then we walked past swan lake to see the construction

got in line for the red racer waited around 10 mins.

then while my mom and dad got food at outer hanks i rode ae and waited 5 mins.

then got in line for Son of Beast and waited at least 2 1/2 hours.

then walked around in the gift shops to get my dog a stuffed animal

    then we left around 5:00

and i was just wondering, are they still calling the crypt a giant top spin? or is it now just a top spin?

Was Son of Beast really 2 1/2 hours long? If so all of the ques must have been open, and the line still going back to the entrance.

no all of them were not open but six were, but what really made the line move so slow was the fact that the trains take so long to get around the track now.

  11. You assume that three trains would have the same blocking system and crews/guests could make intervals consistently. When the park tested three trains when the ride was new, they found that three trains did not improve capacity. At all.

Perhaps you should ponder loooonnnnger about this train of thought.....

and the old trains also got around the track ALOT faster than they do now. with the new trains there can be an empty station for about two minutes

  13. SOB jars you so violently it feels like your spine is going to come out your rear end..I won't ride it anymore. I am usually in so much pain afterwards that it ruins my whole day

have you not rode it since the accident? it is alot smoother than it was.
