  1. According to Siebert on one of the construction tours for IJ back in the spring of 2005, they decided that the gray color of the track would look more like a road, and would not stand out as much as the yellow track.

if they wanted it to look like a road then why didn't they put a double yellow line going down the center of the track?

  2. I looked through some the old photo's but can't find one I'm looking for.

I always point out the big water wheel in The Beast queue to my daughter, and tell her how there used to really be water that ran through it. Also the lake all around the station where people would throw their change. You can still see where the "old timers" still do it, even though the water is gone.

I would really like to see more photos of the station with the water.

Why did they take it out?

I thought it added alot to the ride. Or at least it helped pass the time waiting in line.

i thought that water was the run off from the water ride that is where tomb rader stands today.

  3. Does anybody else feel that Drop Zone should have been a Giant Drop instead of a Gyro Drop? Giant Drops offer a more stomach-in-your-throat experience than Gyro Drops do. I still love Drop Zone, but it would have been awesome if Paramount had purchased Drop Zone as a Giant Drop rather than a Gyro Drop. Does anybody else feel the same way?

this will most likely sound stupid but what is the differnce in a giant drop and a gyro drop

  4. ^ Yep. KI has a Golden Ticket award for their Kiddie Area. If you ask me, I think it's a very well organized, decent kiddie area. Not like GL's.

i have never been to GL, but with what i posted before you i was talking about CP not GL. so were you talking about CP or GL.

or did GL have a poor kiddie area like CP?

  5. ^ Nope. The story of the SOB is that the SOB has ecaped from his cage (hense the big busted box at the entrence) and you have been sent to find it in your Perimeter Survalence Vehichles. They were perpously painted like that.

so you're saying Son of Beast's trains were painted with bio hazard design because you were looking for him and that is not what i am asking. i am asking if the first trains on The Beast's paint job was incorperated into the Son of Beast trains

  6. ^ Nice list. Boy, CP was 3rd! wow!

i think the only reason that CP was 3rd was because there arn't many kiddie rides so people usually go to the parks where their kids can have an enjoyable time where at CP there are only two kiddie rides then the little area by max-air.

  7. Basically if someone makes a post that's in violation of the Terms of Service agreed to when you signed up for these forums, I just delete it and deal with it on an individual level. However, sometimes we can't get to single posts fast enough and someone makes some sort of rude comment and 5 or 10 people respond to it with more rude comments. At that point, it's hard to salvage the thread.

so was it because of my topic i started or haunt guy calling my dad a whale?

    Essentially.... yes....

which one because i just read the tos and it didn't see anything that said any thing about the subject being bad and if it was about hauntguy's comment about my dad could you give the forum starter the ability to delete a nasty remark from their forum so they will not be deleted as mine was? because that makes me mad that i got my forum deleted because of one persons remark

Your topic was fine. One person made a rude remark and several other people started slinging mud at each other after that. I'm sorry that your topic disappeared, but it is what it is.

here is the proof that you said my topic was fine so i posted it again. then i exited the internet and logged back in so i wouldn't hit the back button and erase it that way, then after i logged back in and it was there i went to canada's wonderland's web-site to ride behemoth and now that i am back it is gone. so why does it keep being deleted?

I think you may be having a problem with your browser....

capt. nemo said it was because i started the same topic and it would most likely lead to the same argument

  8. Wait a minute...no one is talking about how fast or slow Firefox is.

First you claimed it didn't work out in the country.

Then, when it is pointed out to you it does (and has spell check), you claim it is slow.

Spellcheck works. It is either worth doing or it is not. But it has nothing to do with Firefox not working out in the country.

Anywho, the topic is Son of Beast trains, to which we need to get back! :) And they work out in the country, too. Which is what Mason was back in 1972, and there was no worldwide web, and spellcheck was called Merriam Webster's Dictionary!

great job getting back on topic <_<

<_< If you don't know about the previous SOB trains, check the front of the park. There sitting there with dead pep's in them.

i know about them i was just wondering if the way they were painted was based on the trains that first ran on The Beast

  9. As for the Villian rumors, I really hope it isn't coming to KI. I did not enjoy my ride on it at all when I was at GL in 2006.

Oh, come on now, it's better than nothing. I rode it this year and it was running pretty smooth.

do you think they could add one of the villain's trains to Son of Beast to get the line moving faster? because now that it takes longer to get a train around the track could they get a third train on there? because they could have one on the lift hill one, in the station, and one on the final break run couldn't they?

I believe that just after the Rose Bowl there are a set of brakes that they could put a third train on. But maybe those are ment to be trim brakes, I'm not sure.

those were there when they first opened Son of Beast to run three trains and they never did it and i don't know why i thought of that, but i seriously think it could work now that it's like forever before the next train comes into the station after one leaves the station.

  10. There are only 2 drop coasters on the planet. Both at Bush Gardens. What tells you KI will get one? Rivertown Has little room to expand. Check The Map. I'm on board with the Idea of a B&M Hyper behind The Racer. And the box looks really cool.

    Beast1979

You couldn't be more wrong. Moreover, B & M calls their version "diving machines." The original one, built by B & M, isn't even in the USA. Here's a hint. UK.

There are four operating and one under construction.

Plenty know about it. It's been talked about into oblivion.

    that was pretty funny

was i the only one who got that?

  11. Oddly enough, I find the ride to be somewhat smooth in the front seat.....but ONLY the front seat. Rode the back a few weeks ago, never again. I actually DO enjoy the first half of the ride, it has some intensity to it. However, I'd just as soon jump off on the block brake. The second half of the coaster is quite possibly the most boring ending of any coaster I've ridden. Period.

That's exactly how I feel. I can only ride SOB in the front of the blue train. According to Brown, the ride still needs to be worked on as I got beat up on the back..

    The end is kinda boring...

try the third row on the red train in the left seat, it is really smooth there. even smoother than Vortex. :)

  14. It doesn't matter. Firefox is a web browser. By many accounts, the best out there. It works. Where you are or how fast your connection is has NOTHING to do with it. In fact, it takes MUCH less time to download and keep up to date than Microsoft's Internet Explorer [iE] does.

guess what my dad has it loaded on my computer and it is.....wait for it....... is slower than my dial up so there

  15. There's a spellcheck at the top of this reply box - it says ABC with a checkmark under it.

yes and i clicked on that and it took me to some web site to download it and firefox doesn't work in the country

    Firefox doesn't WHAT???

It works in Israel, it works in Russia, it works in Japan but it doesn't work in Northern Kentucky country?

    Puh-leeze. Give me a break.

i live on a farm in the middle of no where and can't even get the high speed internet that the closest town has avalible and i live five minutes away from it and to top it all off i was lucky i got the worlds slowest dial up

  16. Ok.... so, the trains for Villian, Raging Wolf Bobs, and Kings Cobra ARE FOR SURE IN THE FIREWORK/GRAVEYARD Area!!! FoF is clear of any trains. If you have a nice camera, go to Eifle (sp?) Tower, you'll see them. -Hauntguy

are the firework/graveyard area the same area? because i thought the firework area was by the turn around on The Racers and the graveyard was behind or beside the barns that they used to house their animals in

  17. I love SOB, i would hate it if it had OTSR.

And some people said Vekoma's hurt...

i thought the origional trains on Son of Beast were made by Premier Rides and if so why would you need OTSR's from Vekoma?

  18. While the base colors of red and yellow were the same as well as the patterns of red and yellow, the "bio hazard" markings were nt originally found on The Beast trains. Today SOB has been retrofitted with Gerstauler trains and now has red and blue trains.

thus me saying the ORIGIONAL trains
