  1. I yell goodbye, wave, and blow kisses at the coasters. I get some strange looks, but I could care less. Could you? Just had to beat Terpy to it.....
  2. When we were at the park last year, the guy on the microphone at the ride was VERY happy to be there. The Beast station was the most fun of all the rides we were at. He knew every part of the ride, and made it fun. If it was someones first ride, they would have been very excited the way he was building it up!!!
  3. We all have VERY different taste in music. Before we leave, we take turns each person adding one song to the I-Pod, until we have a full playlist to get us there and back. That way, there is no fighting over music in the car!!!!
  4. You nailed it! I also seem to remember it being a very jerky ride all the way through. hmmmmm............ Someone with the screen name of King Cobra is talking about another coaster being uncomfortable for male rider??????
  5. The park will only be as nice as the customers let it be. You can't walk 20 feet at KI without seeing a trash can. The amount of people that will still throw trash on the ground, leave food, trays and trash on the tables when they are done eating, or drop something, and then pretend that they didn't do it is astounding. I really don't hold KI responsible for these kind of people. The worst part is, alot of the people that do it, feel like it's not wrong to do so. the world owes them something....LOL But, there is nothing worse than having a tray full of food, and wondering around trying to find a clean place to eat.
  6. no fishing lake that I can remember. Sense it has closed though, we stay at the Kings Island Confrence Center hotel....or something like that. It has a fishing lake, 2 resturaunts, a game room, indoor pool, outdoor pool, shuffle board, basketball, pretty much anything you think of. They only bad part is, they are not an "official" park of KI anymore, so they have to drop out by the street. You end up closer to 71, than you are to the gate!!!! LOL
  7. The frenzy that everyone is in to ride Diamondback. If those tulips were in the way, they'd probably get trampled!!!
  8. Doesn't the Miami, or Little Miami river flow behind The Beast? That would be a PERFECT spot to re-build a camp, along the water. Come to think of it though, I think it's a protected watershed. Probably not allowed to build there. It would be a great place for it though.

    PTR 2002

Ok.....I'm a bit late with this...LOL I talk a lot about the old campgrounds, and I found pictures of our last trip. Just thought I'd share them, there are a few people out there that probably doesn't even know that KI even had a camp. Starting the day by the fountains My worst trick EVER as a dad. She wouldn't ride anything. So I put her on Adventure Express, and told her it was just a choo-choo train. She forgives me now.... The biggest coaster they could handle at the time. It USED to be called Crazy Taxi. She couldn't wait to ride the Ghoster Coaster though. Anybody understand kids??? Thank goodness it was water, and not real slime. LOL My little princess Momma has always wanted to go to Paris. No KI trip is complete without 50 pictures of the tower. Hanging out at camp. Not a huge amount of space, but we didn't spend a huge amount of time there. This probably about where the GWL is now. Kids clowning with balloons in the background. That road behind them is where the tram would stop at each campsite, pick you up, and take you right to the front gate. It also dropped you off at each site too. A light lunch, then back to the park!! EUROBUNGY!!!! My Brother Art, Rocky, and Cocoa Thats what I remember of the campgrounds. If anyone else has more pictures of it, please post. I do miss camping there.
  10. I would like to see KI add a campground. What a novel idea..... Wouldn't it be cool to have a place where you could camp, and maybe ride a tram to and from the park? Wonder why no one has thought of this before....LOL
  11. I have a few photos from our last camping trip.....I think I'll make a PTR of that one....What I can remember of it. It was a long time ago...LOL
  12. Wow, I disabled text messaging on my phone, and I'm a terrible speller. Now what? No excuses.....
  13. I am not the type of person that finds "extra" joy in riding first. If I'm the last ride of the day that I'm there, thats just fine with me. I can say then, I hope the Minimum amount to ride is around 500 bucks, with the first seat going for over 1500. It is a great cause, and major kudos to the KI gurus for doing it this way!!!!
  14. Not just pictures either. I love how Cedar Point's website has POV's of all the coasters to keep you happy in the off-season. I have to resort to youtube for KI videos and there aren't too many on there. i agree....I remember at one time they did have some pov's of some rides on the site to where you could watch them...then one day i noticed that they were not on there anymore...how much I wish they would bring them back glad to know im not the only one out there wishing this.. I think PKI did that too. I remember watching a quicktime movie of SOB when it opened. I think they had The Beast on there too.
  15. I love this site!!! Where else can you find stuff like this!! LOL
  16. How about on ride photos? Here is one of my wife and me on SOB. I blurred out the people behind us. Not to be correct in photo rights, but just so people I haven't met would know which couple was us. My question would be. If the people behind us also purchased this picture from the park. They then post it on another site like this one. Would they be in some sort of violation for not getting our consent? Maybe guilty by the letter of the law, but probably not much you could really do about it. Now, having said that. I agree with you 100% on the kids. I would not post anything that had a picture of someones kid in it, by any means. That can get you into alot of trouble!!! LOL
  17. Thats a good point too. I wasn't trying to suggest to go out and take pictures of strangers. If you are taking a picture of the Tower though, and someone happens to be on the edge of the frame, they would seem silly to try to sue, or raise any kind of stink over that. Hey, maybe I am dead wrong. It wouldn't be they first time. If someone had a problem with a picture I took, because they happened to be in a part of it. I would find it comical more than anything. I would probably delete it just to avoid confrontation, unless they acted really nasty about it. Are we talking about the same thing? Or are you talking about copyrighted things like the rides themselves?
  18. I'm not going to try to site any laws, because I don't know, or follow any. LOL I have spoken to ONE Nascar driver about the whole photo issue. He lived on Lake Norman, and was always irritated by people boating up to his backyard, and taking pictures. He told me once though, that as long as he is out in a public place, all bets are off. If you are willing to be someplace that anybody can go, then you are agreeing that anyone can see you there, so photos are fine then. Being in a public place, is the same thing as giving your consent to be photographed. All the drivers that he associated with feel the same way. That may not be "legal", but it makes sense to me. As long as you aren't invading someones private space, and you are both allowed to be there, then all photos should be no problem. I don't know about Vegas though. I still think all photography is outlawed inside the casinos.
  19. I noticed the picture of FOF also has the old "over the shoulder" restraints
  20. what does that mean???? LOL
  21. HA, I KNEW you were the mole!!!!!
  22. I'll have to take your word for it. It will be a cold day in h e double hockey sticks when somebody get me on one of those things!!!
  23. Nice job!!! 10 points!!!!
  24. Hell, every guy's got his dream, am I right? Between you, me and the wall here, I doozy myself last night. Ha ha, ha, ha. Get this: A corn-fed harvest mouse, a hooker, a nun, a Flemish peasant woman, whips, chains, whistles yo-yo's, a circus midget. My grandmother riding by on a bicycle give me the finger, and a duck! Now, I don't know ha, ha, ha. Who can guess what this is from?
