When I was a kid, our local pool released live gold fish in the pool, and if you cought one with your hands, you won 50 bucks!!!!!! Lots of money in the 80's Catch 2 of 'em, and you could score yourself an Atari 2600!!!! LOL

Maverick is a totally different kind of coaster from a different manufacturer. The ride experiences are not really comparable. I think you will be well pleased with Diamondback, but see it as very different from Maverick. As for the name, Frontier City in Oklahoma has an Arrow Shuttle Loop (like Screamin' Demon) named Diamond Back. It is completely different. Man, I feel stupid...... Maybe it's something I ate?

So, does this coaster compare at all to Maverick? Thats the coaster I hear more good reviews about than any other.

I wouldn't even get on it. When I saw it go upside down and then stop, I knew it would be a lunch-loser!!!! LOL

Sure glad I didn't give up my house by not knowing the name! Nope, sorry, You chose the non-venomous diamond back water snake. KI chose the highly venomous pit viper Diamondback rattlesnake. Let me know when I can pick up the keys.

LOL Momma rode that at GL... She wasn't real happy when she got off of it!!!!

We only get to make one trip a year to the Island, but I'll wait all day for this one ride if I have to.

I was scared it was going to be a rehashed name, or worse, another play off of the anchor of the park. I am very pleased with the name, and the layout. Great job Marketing team, you played it perfectly!!!!! I'm stoked and ready to go. Now lets see how many people start yelling, "I told you! I told you!! I knew the name before anyone!!!" LOL

Doesn't KI sit on alot more land than they actually use? If so, I wonder if they'll sell that off..... The bus driver at the Kings Island Resort said there was a RUMOR that CF was going to reinstall a camp ground at KI, behind the Great Wolf Lodge. Which is, where it used to be anyways.

Congrats!!! I have always been around people struggling with weight issues, so I know how hard it can be. I hope you can keep it off, and don't forget to try a few back flips on the bungy!!!

I'm sorry but I just don't want to leave this alone. Clearly, this is a person with quite an ego. I can't get the image out of my mind of this guy walking along... with the floor actually sticking to his feet. I've had the opposite happen (usually at home), but he must have caused a real mess in that place. I hate to play "pile on" but, I will If the first thing I noticed when I walked into a restaurant was sticky, disgusting floors. Filthy tables and unreceptive employees, I don't think I would even attempt to eat there.

Good report!!! I don't know how tough it is to find "hot" guys at KI, but I know that ALL the female employees are easy on the eyes!!!! BTW, I wanted to give a "shout out" to the guy at The Beast with the microphone. Everytime we boarded (and we rode it a lot) he was sounding very excited about our ride!!!! He really seemed to be into his job, and enjoyed doing it. That made the ride more enjoyable for those of us riding.

I really like where this guy's head's at. Or maybe Cobra Canyon... Cobra Valley... Cobra Falls... Cobra by itself wouldn't be bad, either. Of course, if this coaster is in any way related to or inspired by King Cobra's former presence in the park, I would think the track pieces would be green and yellow. So, the whole cobra thing may be a wash. Copperheads are reddish brown in color, however. I agree: From the clues, I'm thinking some sort of snake as well. Especially from the videos and teaser site. Like I said in a couple other threads, my bets are on Water Moccasin, Copperhead, and Diamondback FTW. The only sign that you missed that I notice is: Warning, infrared sensors in use Seems to hint at some sort of pit viper snake.

Thats very nice, thanks. I'd love to see her in a KI commercial too. Because that would mean another trip to the park!!!!! We had a carachture drawing made of her back in Rivertown. I told the girl drawing her to put devil horns on her. It turned out really good!!!!

Thanks to all for the kind words. No, Katie is far from a "problem Child"......but, we have in the past said that it should be the theme song of our 4 year old......Gheez...talk about a handful!!!! Katie was, however, completely mortified when I had, as she called it, a "retard moment" and started doing the Thriller dance while walking by the 80's show while they were singing it. She was so upset with me, that I HAD to follow it up with a little moonwalking!!!!! Her head went down, and she ran from the scene!!! It was priceless!!!!
