JUST walked in the door from a GREAT 2 day trip to the island. Construction is moving quickly, we got to watch them set a few cream colored uprights. Everything was up and running ride-wise. and it was a wonderful time!!! More details, and pics to follow!!!

You could always come up to the Ohio State Fair. Come enjoy our new attraction, "GangLand" Learn all the newest gang signs, and watch your wife clutch her purse and your arm on the way to the car!!!! LOL

I haven't seen the signs yet firsthand....Going down wed-thurs next week. This keeps popping into my head though. Everybody refers to sign about "Run For the Hills" I hate to seem picky, but does it say maybe "Run TO the hills"? That was a song by Iron Maiden. It was about fighting between cowboys and indians. Didn't there used to be cowboys and indians fighting on the old train ride? Those 2 things could be somehow linked.

As for the Eagles, get thee to Carowinds! Although, it will probably cast a lot more than 200 bucks to get down there and back on gas!!!! LOL

Everytime I read about the Dayton airshow. It makes me miss the Rickenbacker show. They did have a HUGE show here last year, but it was a one time thing. I live about a mile from the base, and it was great sitting outside with the neighbors, and watch the show. Did they fly the Raptor slow enough so you could actually see it?

I wouldn't want to disturb the memories either. What I do wish though, was that as a child, my family was strong enough monetarily to afford a video camera. I think of all the cool things we rode, and saw, at all 3 major Ohio parks. I think it would be GREAT, if I could see them again on the screen. things seem so much bigger and grand when you're a kid. If you went back as an adult, I think you'd be a little disappointed.

A Copperhead's venom is not fatal, but it can make you VERY ill...... Same can be said of an intense coaster. There is my reasoning!!! LOL

Seems to be touch of bitterness around here. I wish I had the inside info you guys do. I just show up at the park, and start handing out money!!!

Red, yellow, HOLY....... Thats perfect!!! I've never ridden TTD, but just reading that line makes me want to go!!!

I'll be taking the whole clan cross-ummmmm-state. We'll be at the park on July 30, and 31. I am wondering with so many people that visit the park often, where is the best location see the construction? I know the general area, but I'm talking about maybe something like "Look to your right going up The Beast's first lift" Something like that. Anything? Please don't say ask the dippin dots guy, or try at the pi shop!!!! LOL

The ride ops hear some really good ones, so I need to add a little thanks to them. They could have ratted me out one time, but just smiled and ignored my conversations with the kids. We took them when they were about 7 and 9. Kids that age are all the same. The night before the trip, they are gonna ride The Beast, The Vortex, and climb up the outside of the Eiffel Tower themselves. Then you get there......It must be the scale of the rides, or screaming or something, because once you get there, they won't ride ANYTHING!!!! Like all parents, we want to build them up gradually hoping to get them on a "big" ride by the end of the day. Not happening. So I tool matters into my own hands, shuffled them as quickly as I could through the line of Adventure Express as fast as I could so that couldn't see the signs, or see any of the ride. So we're getting on the ride, and all the ops are getting us ready, the kids seemed nervous, but I kept swearing to them that it was the choo choo train ride. The ops just smiled and checked the bars.... Needless to say, the kids were ****ed at me, but it got them over their fears, and the rest of the day went great!!! So sometimes, it's not what the ride ops say, but what they DON'T say that makes a trip enjoyable.

Is this a "confirmed" story? Sound like a bit of rumor to me...... I think all those ban cell phone groups would have been screaming this story.... CNN would have aired it??????

I would say 13 is good age for a park number. People have brought up the maturity issue, making me think of the driving issue. You can get your drivers license at age 16. I know a lot of parents that don't allow their kids to get them because they think they aren't mature enough for that responsibility. Point is, the park can set an age, but it doesn't excuse the parents from parenting. You know your kids better than anyone, and just because it may be legal, doesnt make it right.

I go away for the weekend, and on my return, everyone is fighting..... Can't we all just hug and talk about the good parks or something???? LOL Nevermind, what was I thinking

We'll just have to agree to disagree, OK?? I wasn't yelling at you, just pointing out that your posts have been negative. this is an open forum. As long as we don't talk politics, then we can all express our views. That includes you AND me. Have a good evening. Maybe we can talk about this subject a little more sometime.

My kids are already clamoring for me to "take the whole clan cross country." So, one of these years, I may just pack up the old family truckster and make the trek to Magic Mountain (where the movie was filmed). And I will make sure it isn't closed so I won't need my "Magnum P.I." That's a few years away though..... It's late, I gotta work tomorrow , and you guys are gonna end up making me fire up the ol DVD player tonight!!!!
