Maybe I'm wrong, and if I am, I'm SURE it will pointed out!!! LOL The track that the train rides on gives more to the feel than the structure does. As long as the track is wooden then it should ride and perform as a wooden coaster. So I go with a yes vote.

It would be cool if you could get it online...For those of us that couldn't be there. I understand abut time constraints too though.

That's definitely just a dream. Hey, if you're gonna dream, dream big. Right?

My oldest daughter just started riding coasters recently......She is still a bit nervous on them. I can't sit in front, or back!!!! We have to get dead in the middle every time!!!!

I visited a Norman Rockwell exhibit today. After seeing his work, I'd say if he were going to paint Kings Island, He'd use your picture of the snow covered fountains and I.S. as his guide...... Beautiful!

Careful......You're standing on my camp site!!!!!

Not to prolong this somewhat stupid debate, but as in many kinematic and dynamic problems, there are many ways to achieve one desired solution. In this example, there is no difference between the two 'variables' other than a differing reference frame. Placing the reference frame on a moving train w/ a stationary nickel gives the nickel the true velocity of the train, and a relative velocity of zero for the train. Just the same as if you placed the reference frame on a moving nickel towards a stationary train... the train has the relative velocity equal to that of the reference frame's velocity. In either case, the reference frame and the external object have the exact same relative velocity. Two problems, same solution... scientific method really has nothing to do with this. Now back on topic. Why can't we just stick the nickel in our pocket, and use it to buy asprin for the headache I'm getting trying to follow this argument> LOL just kidding.....you guys hash it out. -
Everyone in attendance must be a member of one of the groups listed. No guests. Please also note that the Facebook thing I sent out was purely for information, there will be an actual registration process through Kings Island. Ryan I plan on paying more attention this time. I always seem to get shut out of these events, but it seems like you guys always have a great time!!!

I RSVP'd for this event on facebook, I think. If I want to buy 4 tickets so my whole family can go, do we all need to join? or can they just be my guests?

We could do away with a lift hill!!! Ride the elevator up to the top of the tower, then get on a coaster!!!

It depends on how coaster crazy you are. I rode the Kentucky Rumbler on New Years Eve. The park opened at 5:00 and was 31 degrees. I was on it until about 12:15 - you decide what the temp would have been, but it had to be in the low 20s. PS. I rode 30 times even. Thats pretty "hard core" I don't think you'd see me doing that.

I don't know if you guys are old enough to remember the "old" brakes coasters used to use....Maybe they still do, but I would think they've been updated. I gues they were just friction brakes or something. When you came into the station, there was a guy maning a stick about 5 feet long sticking up out of the floor. He would pull on it, and the trains would stop. You gotta know that to hear my story. 1987, at Cedar Point. We didn't want to wait 3 hours to ride the "new" Bat, Iron Dragon, so we just rode all the old stuff. Blue Streak, or Mean Streak, can't remember which one, Gemini, the old mouse coaster they had, Demon drop...LOL, remember when that was the SCARIEST thing around? After all those we made our way to the Corkscrew. About 3/4 of the way up the lift hill, we hit a downpour. All the way through the ride, the closer we got to the end, the harder it came down. When we got back to the station, we seemed to be going pretty fast still. We got to the end of the station, still moving at a pretty good clip, but slow enough to see the guy leaning back on the big stick, and laughing his a$$ off!!!! Right through the station we went, and back up for another ride!!! A Freebie!!!! We were wondering if we were gonna be riding this thing non-stop until the rain quit, but by the next trip to the station, they got it to stop. We were still past the little turnstile gates though. We got off, had a good laugh with the ride ops about it, and went on our way.. They told us thats why they stop sending out the coasters when the rain starts!!! Long time ago, I'm sure that wouldn't happen anymore, but I'm not sure. I have never been back on a coaster in the rain sense then.

Time for my stupid question. If you are looking at a day that is high 30's to low 40's for the temps. Why would you be getting on a roller coaster that goes over 100 mph???? I don't like riding the ATV in the fall because I get too cold!!!!

None of them. They will all be out of money by the time they buy their own refreshments from those exhausing walks. You've got the right Physics problem idea. I don't know about all that...I was just trying to get a free cup of coffee. Sorry, I'm in "one of those moods" tonight....LOL -

If I was standing at the Eiffel Tower. Terpy is walking towards me from Coney Mall at 3 mph, and he has $12.00 Uncle Henry is in Rivertown walking towards me at 2 mph with $25.00 AND, Smurfy is running from zombies towards me from Great Wolf Lodge with $50.00 Which one will buy me a cup of coffee when they get to me? -
It's sinking....thats why!!!!

Amen

OK....I knew I had looked at pictures somewhere. Looked like a big wad of spaghetti laying on the ground!!!! Because hey, if you see the pictures on the internet, they MUST be real!!!

Is that the one that is without a building?

I hope they renew with Nick. Adults will argue about who has the best coasters, scenery, and all that stuff. Kids just want to go and have fun!!! Right now, my kids would rather go to Kings Island than to Disney Land. Reason being, they can see Spongebob, and Dora, and Deiago at KI. All parks have rides, they'd enjoy that part of it anywhere, but the Nicktoon guys are what make my kids happy.
-
Or would that be "in Front" of you, in this case????

What's the funniest thing you've ever seen at Pki?

OK, Last year, I was over in "kiddie" land putting my 4 year old on the bumper cars. Well this other kid that was a bit "pudgy" to put it nicely, was also getting on. The safety restraints on this ride is simply a cloth band that you slide down over your head and arms, leting it hold you around the chest area.Well, this little dude tried to put it over one arm, and under the other, kind of like a real car seatbelt. So here he is.....stuck.....crying at first, then screaming. He has his head tilted over to one side, pinned, and arm straight up in the air, flailing it around like crazy. Now, don't think I'm heartless. I felt so sorry for this kid. But, when the ride ops FINALLY came over to help him out, his mom was standing outside the railing yelling at them... "Just rub some butter on him, he'll come out!!!" That got everyone laughing, including the kid. He got rescued, and enjoyed the ride. I'm sure he'll never forget his trip to Kings Island though.!!! -
Yeah, and you don't get to pick it!!! Luck of the draw. When it comes up, you either get on, or go to the back of the line and try again!!!!

I miss the Skylab. I can say that, in my opinion, all the other removals made the park better. While I did Like KCKC, I can see them taking it out. It still left the park with another log flume, WWC, and Amazon falls. Plus there is the water park. I also wouldn't mind seeing them put in a new version of Flight Commander.
