we are staying at the King Island Confrence and Resort hotel. they run shuttles all day to and from the park. They also have a couple of resturants inside the hotel for your meals. It's an old hotel, but I really like it.

I always thought those things were creepy. One of them, as well as the "Evil Nursery Baby" in the WEBN haunted house looks just like my sister. I always think of the ID4 movie when I'm in there. Very cool theme.

OK, I gotta say it. You guys know TOO MUCH about the park. LOL

That was the first thing that popped in to my head too. It would fit the area well. I also like the idea of a giant slide. Anything I can ride with my little one that isn't big enough for the coasters yet.

I thought the food looked good, until you described it!!! At first glance I those were big mushrooms! Not potatoes!!! Yuck!

The elephant at the end is a "cheap shot". It was always a competition with our group as to who would get hammered the most by the water. You come down the hill, laugh at the one, yes, it was always one person, who really got it the worst, and then BAM, cheap shot!!!! LOL

My family and I are making our "Big Trip" to KI at the end of this month. We have decided to spend some time in the water park this this year, not something we usually do. What are some don't miss water slides? How long should we plan on being there? Meaning, if we chose to do all the major slides over there on an avarage day attendance wise, how long would it take to get through all of them? Thanks.

Yeah, the line used to snake under there, and they radars, and all kinds of stuff. The themeing was very well done.

Maybe you should eliminate the whole "fact" People here like KI, and all the rides there. Someones death or injury being blamed on a ride is going to give that ride a sense of being unsafe. Doesn't matter if that was the intent or not, it is going to get people here worked up.

One thats not on the list is Adventure Express. It's an OK ride, but thats it. I would call it more of a beginners roller coaster than anything. When it was first built, it was the major attraction for that year. I remember seeing it on TV commercials, They had it featured on their landscaping at the front gate. We were so excited to ride it, and then......wha........it's over? LOL, it was like a bad joke.

Don't know if this is a CF thing or not, but I miss the campground. I loved rolling in on a Sunday afternoon, watching everyone else packing up to leave as we were getting settled in. Riding the tram right to the front gate, and enjoying the park. The campground had a way of making us feel like "VIP"s. I miss that more than anything.

It's not my favorite, but I like it. The sense of speed is unbelievable.

Wow, tough to limit it to just a few. First, the obvious, double helix. The last couple of times I have ridden The Beast. At the top of the first lift hill, the chain speeds up rapidly, then it almost stops, sometimes does stop, and then gets going again very slowly over the crest of the hill. Don't know if this is done intentionally, but it adds some great suspense to the ride. Keep waiting on the time we are gonna have to walk back down the hill on those little steps. That would be awesome!!! I know I'm in the minority here, but I LOVE the violent slams and speed of the rose bowl! We live in Columbus, so our only chance to get some LaRosa's pizza, is when we are in the park! But hey, as long as we are talking about food, last year I found the IHOP down 71 from the park. Yummy!!! Walking out of the park with "squishy" shoes because you made WWC the last ride of the night is cool. Lastly, leaving the park with your 4 year old singing " Best Day Ever" at the top of her lungs lets me know that you can't judge the park by single elements. The "whole" is what makes it special.

Hitting 2 parks in one day must have been a blast! My sis and I did a weeklong marathon, WAY back in the 80's. We hit Cedar Point, Geauga Lake, Sea World, Kings Island, and THE Ohio State Fair, all in one work-week. Traveling home to C-bus after each day. It was fun, but pretty tough on the ol' body! I enjoyed your trip report. I like that your ride ratings are so much different than other peoples are. Shows you that lot's of people just prefer different rides.

We go to Kings Island because their kids area is great! They have a lot of coasters that my beginner coaster rider can enjoy. We can get to CP in about the same amount of time, but I am afraid that the coasters there are a bit too itimidating for her at the present time. Maybe next year, but first she has to ride DB and SoB(hopefully).

LOL, so far, about a year and a half!!
