  1. I could see them doing bridges/tunnels or redirecting a path or maintenance road if they needed to. It would probably be the most expensive part of the ride though.
  2. AE is way to popular. MT is also way more intense.
  3. That's a much more feasible story.
  4. Are you sure it wouldn't have been on the canoe ride that was near that same area? Maybe the canoe just flipped and you had a near drowning?
  5. Paramount/CF pretty much sued HUSS into oblivion over TR:TR, I also believe some other issues with Delirium but not as severe. Then HUSS merged with another company/were bought out and then Dollywoods court cases on tumble tower went through. I believe they are now with the 3rd new owner/merger.
  6. Adventure Express won't go anywhere. It's a popular ride that eats people. The 3rd train would set up a lot on the lift hill adding extra stress and also ruining the ride experience. The extra FOF train I believe was basically cannibalized for parts. I don't think it even made it to getting the lap bar conversion. Not sure if they did the same with AE or not.
  7. They no longer run 3.
  8. The paramount story was a nice relaxing area, but it's totally fell apart under Cedar Fair. Either they need to make it kind of a botanical garden and move the smoking area, or do something to make it not just look like an urban exploring walkthrough.
  9. Banshee has identical seats to Thunderbird. Diamondback has a pretty easy test seat, but Diamondback, WindSeeker, and Banshee are typically the hardest to fit. Followed by Flight of Fear. But it all depends on your proportions... Beast and Racer the bar has to go down two clicks, but if you cross your ankles to make sure your legs aren't blocking the part of the lap bar that connects to the side of the train your good. Everyones legs look like this // when they sit to make room for that bar that would be on one side. Yours should be like this X so the bar has room to go down next to your legs. But you'll likely be fine on it. If you were fine on Vortex and FOF before, nothing has changed with those. Diamondback really doesn't but barely touch my stomach. It shuts on the tops of your thighs just above the knees, so you can have a bit of a gut if your upper legs are smaller and still get by. But just use the test seats if you're not sure. Also any ride will let you go up the exit to see if you fit. But you really shouldn't have any issues except for what I listed.
  10. They've clearly got sponsorship money from Ford for the new giga!
  11. Honestly, after riding the woodies at Holiday World, when I came back Vortex felt like a b&m lol. It really put a perspective on the ride I didn't have
  12. I guarantee the state does not actually go out and inspect each ride every day. He is probably talking about a mandate for the owner/operators to do daily inspections.
  13. I don't see where we are disagreeing. But It crashed into the railing on the side of the platform while it was in the process of breaking or had already broken.
  14. Indeed, it's gonna be a bit of work for them to figure out. Nothing might have even been "broken" per say but just enough play somewhere that caused it when the positive forces would be pulling down on the seats/arms.
  15. More than likely it was a much smaller issue at first, then the ride crashed into the side of the platform. So we know that for some reason it was hanging lower than it should have been. Unfortunately any pictures like this out of context will be hard to decipher because we don't know what the CAUSE of the incident was VS. damage from the incident its self.
  16. I don't believe the floor came up, something came loose and the ride carriage struck the floor and barrier at the end of the ride platform. As a matter of fact I don't think the floor even raises/lowers like on a HUSS Frisbee. I think the seats are just positioned so that your feet are above the ground. Just like Banshee's trains are.
  17. Their site is still active but there is a lot going on with them atm with a merger and bankruptcies. I can't speak for certain though.
  18. People would just be smoking all over the park again then.
  19. You should be fine, no issues with diabetics but you can always call to be sure.
  20. If you're talking about a tumble tower, I think HUSS is pretty much done atm as far as a company goes. I think they did get bought out but are still restructuring. There whole large capacity flat rides have all been riddled with problems and I don't think you've even been able to buy them now for a few years.
  21. Nah it's for sure going to be space for footers for the giga coaster that's gonna be built between AE and FOF. For sure nothing to do with winterfest. Why would they build something in a smoking area...
  22. Just got back from the park today, they had the tower gardens closed up with some construction going on in it. Have fun with the rumor mill guys.
  23. That was an enjoyable video.
