  1. It's unfortunately been mellowed out over the years with retracks. The original POV shows that it wasn't a mere right turn w/ a speed hill. It was deliberate before .. and I think it was more rough there before aswell haha
  2. Imagine how it felt for this lol https://rcdb.com/277.htm
  3. I said nothing negative lol
  4. This station has the roof of Invertigo, and the body of... I guess Firehawk's? Looks like it'll fit in the area well.
  5. This doesn't block future expansion. Notice the supports. You can tell where it doesn't reach the ground sometimes by looking at supports. The cement path that still exists will still be walk-able under that helix at the end too. Though connecting from the main X-base plaza will pose some awkward pathways for sure. Also as someone else mentioned, the track will bank beyond 90* in at least 2 places. I'm just hoping for at least 300' height straight below the highest point, and hoping for this to not have a nearly 100ft tall final brake. I think both can't be granted with this layout. Otherwise, why does Kings Island continue to shade way less than 50% of their queues? This one will be packed with people and we still have only a couple of places with shade. (these places may not even be walked through once we get passed opening years).
  6. I think you're right. I can't find any signage for DB construction till later. BUT there were footings since day one And by May 10th, there were very clear signs of what the station and splash area would be like: https://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=566765 https://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=578046 (sorry KIC, these were the photos that came up through Google search :p )
  7. Sometimes yeah. Oftentimes it uses an elevator to be put back for maintenance too. --- Guess we shall wait till July/ August to hopefully get an announcement. Isn't it a bit odd that there's no teaser on the wall next to FOF? Diamondback, Banshee, and MT all had some sort of words on the fence that confirmed something was going down.. well up.
  8. Lol would not be the safest stage for Chance to be performing on Glad to see some new sound!
  9. I found the real layout for lil giga I personally love the touch of the absurdly high brake run at the end. Shocker.
  10. For space reasons, I've made this all "spoiler" but it certainly is not a spoiler. Replies to pictures and a video.
  11. Maybe the people that need to lay the footers aren't allowed to know the coaster layout exactly. (edit - just guessing)
  12. No, he was referring to the cartoon character. The one from Scooby Doo!
  13. Thank you! This is basically what I was predicting. We have never seen leaks that met this level of detail, and had it not come to fruition. IIRC. If you count the number of elements Leviathan has, it's pretty similar to the number for this concept. It wouldn't be unheard of having a giga this short. We might have an 80ft tall brake run though haha. Dang! I really feel like a lot of people on this thread are just in denial. This is not a quick photoshop job. This image is the result of lots of survey work for rides and topography (which simply isn't available on google), then you can finally draw in the other lines that represent a future coaster. That park hasn't ever put a red herring of plans like this yet; they're too busy actually getting the real thing on the ground. It's possible, but it's unlikely that it's fake.
  14. That's what I'm gathering with this. It could be more intense and yet short - like Lightning Rod. I don't care quite as much if the ride is shorter than a typical Giga if it ends up being the most intense B&M to date (but maintaining their reliability - more important)... My only wish with our giga, is that we don't have a final brake run that is nearly 100ft in the air like Leviathan's. *cross fingers* To everyone else.. I can't speak for certain.. but I think we need to bring ourselves to accept what this is. The footing layout is matching other B&M giga lifts (some minor alterations to go around buildings and coasters). The layout leak is incredibly detailed; would be a first-ever for someone to've faked something at this level. I'm calling it now. This is our giga. Finally.
  15. Although those pink lines are the same length (height) on the computer, because it's closer to the camera, the lines won't produce accurate proportions of 301ft at a nearer spot. Just like here: http://queencitydiscovery.blogspot.com/2017/01/reader-submission-aerial-view-of-kings.html It's not perfect placement (my lines), but it's nowhere close to the difference being from my editing error. 300ft far away will, in a photo, appear much longer/ taller when it's closer to the camera.
  16. Megacoaster Resees, megacoaster Twizzlers, and megacoaster Symphony... wait
  17. to not have it parallel to what WOULD become the 2nd tallest coaster (Diamondback).. if we end up with a giga. Hope that clears up what I meant :p
  18. I too had this thought about the orientation of an overall lift hill. I think it'd be better to not have it parallel to the 2nd tallest coaster in the park; more importantly.. I'd love to be able to get some pics of people going down the first drop from the Eiffel Tower :p. But ultimately, if it's a new giga I wouldn't be that upset about it. It is more concerning about Beast's seclusion, but as long as there's still a string of trees, I don't think I'd complain too much considering the huge investment we are fortunate to get anyway. I'm most concerned about the fireworks. I had the what-if thought of that area being having a tunnel to allow them to keep it running haha. (it's only a 20 min closure) That'd be a long tunnel. But, honestly, I would love a tunnel on this coaster. Along with coasters with a steep/ vertical drop, tunnels are something that KI coasters could have more of if I were the only demographic. (which I am not obviously) Overall, Im stoked to be getting a new coaster that looks to be a type we've long been wishing for. Even if it's different, it still definitely seems like a coaster for the adults.
  19. Ew. I didn't know they had done that. That's unfortunate for the taller folk that always opt for the front of whichever car they are in.
  20. I'm not so convinced that those storage sheds are going to need to be replaced. A lift and drop can fit over it, and a return trip likely would turn further north to only have to go over the road. There is a wider amount of clearing right there anyway. (Where the fire-dinosaur used to be.
  21. I'm convinced it's finally giga time I'm assuming this will mean this is another ride that will have to close during the fireworks then haha. I wonder if they'd ever consider moving that to another plot. Either way, I'm excited for 2020 now. All there's to do for now is enjoy 2019 c:
  22. As long as it doesn't ruin capacity (which it could knowing how tight RMC seats can be leg room wise.) then I love the idea. It's a nice halfway point to avoid buying a locker when you really only have necessary loose items (keys wallet, debatably phone)
  23. You can swim in the fountain?? I have a new reason to have Paris on my trip bucket list!
  24. Yeah, I had one of my friends tag me in a Facebook post telling me how they are so excited for Beast Unleashed haha I had to tell her the bad news that it's a fan-made thing linking to the video which had a disclaimer in the description. I'll listen to this podcast when I have more time later today
