Planet Snoopy (bringing your children?) in 2010.
Beast1979 replied to CrashOverRided's topic in Kings Island
When in the world did Spongebob decide to move to Universal? -
I'm recording it now. I can't wait to watch it, having seen them ride Racer in 2008 it just seems right to see them ride racer 35 years ago.
-
I can see it now....

^I read through some of that and I just realized that I ended up with the last post! I didn't notice that until now! Woo Hoo!
-
And how many does this thread have?
-
It's around 450 something, I can't remember exactly, but it was set by the "Rumor Coaster for 2009" topic, started in late October 2007, closed August 6 2008.

I just got back from Haunt. It's real nice, if you enjoy that kind of stuff. I don't, so I have a bit of a biased opinion. Still, the atmosphere of the park was done wonderfully spooky and the scare actors did a good job. And on the subject of fog, it was a bit isolated to some areas, occasionally it spread around. It did't go near Diamondback unfortunately, but it did a good job of hiding other rides.

I wouldn't doubt that even if it did, Kings Island would probably not publish so, saying it's 79 MPH as usual.

Either way, this signifies to me that the decision has not yet been made, or that the decision has been made to keep it.

1st Year Success at EnterTrainment Junction
Beast1979 replied to RailRider's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Way to go! It's nice to see local business do well these days, especially one this unique! When I get the opportunity I look forward to heading down there. Adam is there anyone you DON'T know? -
They were made by the same people who did Flight of Fear and it's trains, which is also known for being horribly uncomfortable.

Sea World Sold to Universal Orlando Owner?
Beast1979 replied to RailRider's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Seaworld and Universal under one proverbial roof? Has the world gone mad? -
Need I say more?

Sounds like a fantastic idea. I loved Starlight Experience at Cedar Point, it's underestimated and strikingly beautiful. I can see this being added at Kings Island, it would be a good addition for the park during an off year and a nice couple with Snoopy's arrival. As for the location, I think the area between Delirium's entrance and Coney Mall (What do they call that place nowadays....Oktoberfest?) would be perfect, or better yet, the old Gardens near the Tower.

If I were the big guy in charge and it was my decision, a few extra nickels for insurance would be worth it to be able to run my coasters at the speed they're supposed to. Cedar Fair's obsessive need to bring every coaster they can to a near stop at some point during the ride is just rediculous. I think the best example would be Flight of Fear. Under Paramount the ride ran with it's trims off, headrests and lap bars, with no problems. Heck, the Six Flags mad cobras don't even HAVE trims on them. So explain to me why it is necessary to bring our Flight of Fear to a stop halfway through?

The old trains were Premier, and can be seen regularly at Halloween Haunt.

Whoops. You're right. Either way, it won't burn.
-
The Beast has pretreated wood. It won't burn. Neither will steel, unless of course a certain enthusiast group poured kerosene on them......
-
I wish that PTC mandates that all coasters running their trains must have their trims removed........
-
The Trims are magnetic....they are there to stay..... But yes, The Beast has been giving Fantastic rides this season. The trackwork helped a lot.
