KINGS ISLAND TRIAL updates and discussion

And what of the fate of the ride itself? I can't imagine a win for her would be good for Son of Beast at all... -
KINGS ISLAND TRIAL updates and discussion

Which is why the entire trainload was injured. Assuming this is the 2006 incident I'm thinking of (It is, right? It's impossible to tell anymore), the ride DID malfunction! The people WERE injured, almost certainly as a result of the RIDES MALFUNCTION! A timber broke and the trainload of people were injured because of it! I don't understand what the argument is here over if it was the lady or not, it was the ride that malfunctioned! Whether the ride itself caused all of the injury or she aided to it is still up in the air, and whether it was PKI's fault or the ride itself all bets are off, but for the most part the ride malfunctioned and hurt her. Liability is gonna be a b*tch with this one, who's fault was it, or was anyone at fault, yada yada yada, but it would appear to me (Keeping in mind I have no experience in the legal system at all), but I would guess that the lady will be saying they had spotty maintenance (May or may not be true), and Kings Island will defend by saying no, we did our job, and likely pointing the finger elsewhere, perhaps right back at the lady. -

This is going to court? After 3 years? My my. -
RCDB doesn't count it, I don't count it, and neither does Cedar Point. On their website, it is listed under water rides: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/rides/water/index.cfm Not Roller Coasters: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/ride...sters/index.cfm

You can't beat the classics. To answer the original question, there's nothing that I'm aware of that's new.

Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Great Adventure. All the Six Flags Arrow's have those type of OTSRs. I wonder why?
-
Don't even speak of those awful restraints. Every time those crunch down onto the forbidden areas I wonder, Why? Is it truly necessary? Why? I love the Flight of Fear restraints, despite being almost like coffins, they aren't uncomfortable and cause little pain for me, but then again, I'm not the one who makes the 76257 feel small!

Please and Thank You.

If it's like it is in Tennessee (Which I highly doubt), they operate above 40 Degrees.

Perhaps, but the flood watches are mostly for people in the valley. Kings Island sits 24 miles to the north, well away from any real flooding threat, aside from the Little Miami, which I don't believe they've had any problems with before.

Don't know how new it is, but the webcam has been adjusted to accommodate the height of the lift, now hundreds of feet tall:

Very nice video! Makes the ride look really....pathetic....now. I hope they do something, anything, to it, not just lit it sit there and corrode to death.

IMO, I go to Cedar Point. I'm almost for sure going to go to Holiday World at some point or another next year, and I only get one Cedar Point trip a year. So obviously, I choose the park with 17 roller coasters and over 6 hours of ERT. Holiwood Nights is undoubtedly great, but if you can do everything during normal hours, then why choose to go for the event? CoasterMania gives you the opportunity to lap rides you normally could never dream of lapping, like Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, maXair, Raptor, etc... not to mention it's cheaper with a platinum pass, and well, it's Cedar Point! Jackson, who renewed his platinum pass on Sunday, and plans to make good use of it...

I rode Racer Red on Sunday, and the 10 feet closest to the station was nice and pretty, but aside from that, it looked like the same old gummy, dry, peeling, ugly, pointless tunnel. Please get rid of it, it is ridiculously disgusting and completely unnecessary.

And they were changed from four to three bench trains, and trims were added, reducing maintenance costs, supposedly.
-
I rode Dueling Dragons in the very back and still loved it.
-
Invertigo, Flight Deck, Runaway Reptar, am I missing something? And of those, only 1 is considered a true "Invert", and even with that it is a clone, with bad capacity, and bad maintenance, and pretty basic, and somewhat boring. Now THIS is an Invert:

And yet, with all that "Extensive Testing" that's going on, or was, and some even supposedly during park hours, I've still yet to see any pictures or videos. Jackson, just sayin.....

What's your favorite thing about Kings Island?
Beast1979 replied to CedarPointer's topic in Kings Island
Being there. Being at this safe haven of a place, miles away from all my troubles. Here, school, grades, work, chores, all that doesn't matter. Here, all that matters is having fun. Ride a ride, see a show. Have some ice cream, do the carosuel. Go to the Eiffel Tower and look at the park. It doesn't matter if your old, young, fat, skinny, smart, dumb, nothing from the outside world matters. Once you enter the gates, you've left the world behind. Here is a place where having fun, relieving stress, and overall, enjoying and living life, is the only thing in the on Earth that matters. I just love, being there. -
Note that the earliest of the construction pictures on that site were from Early 2006, and pictures of testing in 2007. Does that mean it's been testing for the last 2 years?
