At the park tonight, there were no marking or flags in Coney Mall, but it appears they have added gravel roads in the cleared area behind SoB. --Beatle, who will allow others to speculate about the meaning, if any, of these observations.

I thought of that too. But would they put similar rides at CP and KI in the same year? Makes the CP announcement even more intriguing....

I'm guessing either a WindSeeker where Flight Commander was (similar to the former Zodiac in that area), or SoB being replaced (the article says the park will add a ride in 2011, not that it will be ready in April...) Technically, they "added" DB in 2008.

It was a lot of fun and you could tell everyone was happy to be there and really were enjoying what they were doing. Big props to everyone in Kings Islan'ds Entertainment Division for this kind of celebration of their casts and their shows. It was super! Also announced for next year "Way Too Much TV" returns and a show called "American Country." Will look forward to seeing my favorite show again as well as this new show. American Country? I guess that's better than "Un-American Country."

I must disagree with you about Intrimidator at Carowinds. It does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as DB and Nitro. For those who have never been to Carowinds, imagine DB with trims that kill 75% of DB's airtime. But it is, after all, a B&M, so I wasn't terribly disappointed because I expected nothing from it. If you go to Carowinds, ride the trim braked wannabe designed to sell Dale Earnhardt t-shirts once for your coaster count, then enjoy Afterburn (one of the few B&M's that doesn't make me yawn), Nighthawk, Hurler, Caroina Cobra, Rebel Yell, and Carolina Cyclone, When it comes to that horribly short and boring thing called Vortex that they try to pass off as a roller coaster....Don't bother!

So kinda like a modern version of KI's zodiac? Only without the enclosed cars? I remember me and my sister shaking the cars of Zodiac and the Sky Ride at KI just to scare our poor mother half to death... Edit-- Or more like the parachutes at SFGAd that stop and spin at the top?
