  1. If it's a weekend, avoid that flea market mess! There is construction in that area now as well! Take 75 South to Tylersville Road, turn left at the top of the exit ramp, and it will take you to Kings Island Drive. You will have to turn left at KI drive, so stay in that lane! That's the quickest way that I have found.
  2. They should "quit the Halloween crap" because too many people come to the park?!? Should Coca-Cola or Pepsi discoutinue selling their their products because too many people buy them? Should they ban Star Wars because too many people have watched it? Your sense of entitlement to an empty park with attractions designed to entertain you and you only is, to be quite frank, becoming annoying.
  3. I can't imagine the traffic at CP tonight! 60,000 people all trying to leave on that causeway.....NO thanks!
  4. And Bayern Kurve was located in the area to the left of Sling Shot, Wheel of Fortune was next to the log flume, approximately where Linus' Launchers are today, and Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal was on the land now occupied by The Crypt and part of Diamondback.
  5. We left KI shortly before 6:00 today and the lines for FoF and Firehawk were over two hours each and Racer's line (with only one side running) was a full queue spilling onto the midway. There was also a considerable traffic backup at the south entrance gate.
  6. That wasn't the real Satan. It was a guy in a costume. The real Satan is very busy this time of year. Yes, he has an election to try to influence in less than a month!
  7. Too bad the midgets didn't get kinzel in the ring and hit him with a trash can..... THAT would have been entertaining!!! Like Stone Cold stunning McMahon !
  8. Security at KI has always been lax in enforcing the rules. And someone who looks and dresses like Elvira would be a plus . However, I must disagree with the remainder of your post for the reasons stated by others previously.
  9. We were at the 10:30 show Friday. It lasted 45 minutes, with about twenty minutes of a midget doing lame stand up comedy, ten minutes of break time/ introductions, and about 10 or 15 minutes of "wrestling." There was no blood and I, in all honesty, found it to be very overhyped and not worth the time that could be spent riding roller coasters.
  10. Another "safety" thread...sigh! I couldn't imagine going through life in constant fear of every remote possibility of being injured. To me, that kind of a life would be a living Hades! Every time I read one of these theads, I can't help but think of the mice in The Tale of Despereaux.
  11. ok... In all honesty, how many "midget wretling" fans are there in this world? And how many of them will have time to come to this event? And how many of those will be there to cause trouble? And how many people will show up drunk regardless of whether this show is there or not? There is virtually NO chance of Half Pint Brawlers causing any type of problem that would not exist anyway!
  12. Voyage in the back car is my overall favorite coaster . It's intense, filled with airtime, and violent enough to test your manhood and leave you sore the next day! It's an "old school" experience that is everything a coaster should be!
  13. Actually, Sundays in the Fall are usually very nice days to go to the park. The lines are usually relatively short (except for those in Plant Snoopy.)
  14. Gotta go with the cooler in the trunk of my car....
  15. I didn't go to the shows, but I walked past both of them last night, and, from the "singing" (if it can be called that) that I heard, I can say without hestitation that listening to even a few seconds of that was the scariest experience of The Haunt.
  16. One of the more photogenic rides I have been around! Kinda like a good looking girl who has no personality.....
  17. Those firmen put out a fire on Mean Streak?!? Obviously, they have never ridden it!
  18. Beatle, I see your point. Going to a "Family Friendly" Amusement Park see REAL blood pouring out of scantily clad, violent, angry midgets who use unsuspecting office supplies to administer pain for the entertainment of drunken bar patrons, (it definately ain't Chuckee Cheese in the video! No, but this is..... http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2009/01/conduct_at_restaurant_describe.html
  19. I can find no evidence that people who watch Half Print Brawlers are violent white trash, as has been repeatedly stated as fact in this thread. It seems as though the following flawed logic is being employed: 1. I am not violent white trash 2. I do not care for Half Pint Brawlers; 3. Therefore, anyone who likes Half Pint Brawlers is violent white trash. --Beatle, who is not white trash, doesn't care for B&M coasers, and who knows how silly it would be to take the next step.....
  20. I share your worry about the prototype. There will likely be some bugs that have to be worked out, resulting in downtime. I also worry about the fact that they are building four of these protypes and that a problem with one could result in all four of them experiencing significant closures.
  21. Too bad I can't go there to "BOO!!!" the announcement tomorrow!
  22. A sad day indeed.... Memories of when I lived in the Cleveland area keep coming back. My eyes are damp as well....
  23. My take: It's professional wrestling! Everybody knows it's a scripted show! If the crowd is as white trash as everybody seems to think, they won't be able to afford KI's beer prices. And midgets have to make a living like everybody else! What do you expect them to do? This....? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_CAs3q7G48 But seriously, my prediction is that the event will be so ridiculous that most people will be unable to endure it unless they are laughing..... Does midget wrestling really have any "fans"?
