  1. Flooding has occurred at Coney for many years. I'm sure they have learned how to prepare for and deal with it.
  2. At about 500 feet just above stall speed with a very nice camera? I, for one, am hoping that, on April 30th, the "planning" area resembles Swan Lake on Opening Day 2008.......
  3. I agree. Can you a imagine in a million years any parent would allow their child to work at such a position? Kids work on the Eiffel Tower..... I'm not aware of their parents complaining.
  4. I have and will continue to pray for him. The news footage of the vehicle looks the way it does because the Fire Department cut the body of the car away in order to get him out as safely as possible. But the fact that it was necessary to cut him out indicates that this was a very, very serious crash.
  5. Because I don't think the Peanuts Pirates go around killing innocent people. Rather, they probably sing and dance while entertaining children, a skill Somali Pirates lack. You and I both know this, but the hypersensitive politically correct crowd does not share our sense of reality.
  6. After the whole Haunt decoration controversy, why would they think that announcing a pirate show less than two weeks after this was a good idea? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110222/ap_on_re_us/piracy
  7. I highly recommend a book by G. Edward Griffin entitled "The Creature From Jekyll Island." It explains all of the turmoil very accurately.
  8. http://www.infowars.com/after-touching-your-junk-tsa-wants-to-scan-and-harvest-your-dna/ Here is the explanation for the DNA. Check out the links in the article as well.
  9. The whole global warming/climate change thing is a complete fraud. You all know this right?
  10. And new buzz bars and new air time hills that made small children fear that they were going to fly out and die. And at least one of those small children still rides the present day version of that ride and almost wants to cry when his children don't leave the park with bruises like he did back then and like we all do today at Holiday World!
  11. I think that is what most overlook in the price increase and that is beyond their own gas refill but in truth even if you drive the most economical vehicle you will pay a huge price for everything. I own a transportation business and I fill my tank of 31 gallons every day and a half, another driver of mine fills her tank twice a day. We are passing the cost on. As far as for the push for eco friendly cars; well we can push and wish all day but we are not there yet and not even close for many years to come. To top that off there is no shortage of oil, just obstacles to get it, so i venture to say there will be a major push back on the obstacles into regular oil production first followed by the push for the eco friendly vehicles. I mean how on earth are the folks who live in the city and park in the streets going to charge up? This crises is a man made event and not a natural one. Just one more babling thought I wonder if OPEC will hold up during these times and with all the turmoil. If OPEC goes so do the high prices for a while. Exactly. The plan is to get the price as high as possible before the oil companies tap into the American oil fields. Then drill within the U.S. at a slow rate that will keep the price high and maximize the profits for the oil companies at the expense of the people!
  12. And there were no season passes back then, so the trips to the park were very special indeed.
  13. 1.. If you're talking about me, have the guts to say my name. 2. No one said anyone called the park and threatened anything 3. It's "utmost," not "up most" Well if you're the guy LOL. Also you're the guy who accused me of trying to get 13yr old boys to come to KI on Pride night, a shame that a mod took it out of my signature and deleted your post. Maybe KIC members need to see how hateful and ignorant you really are. Dude, settle down! I was the only person who used the word "lawsuit" in this thread, so I thought you were talking about me. If I was mistaken, I am sorry. No need for the hostility. And, for the record, I did not call the park about the ERT issue; I have not yet purchased my pass; and, I personally have no problem with the change, but I certainly understand why others do.

  15. At least not until one of these enthusiasts contacts an attorney and the park is looking at a class action lawsuit on behalf of all the people who got "bait and switched."
  16. Now this is getting a bit ridiculous. If the argument against the change is that someone paid money for a pass and is dissatisfied because they aren't getting what they thought they paid for, that's a legitimate position. But whining about not getting 15 rides a day on DB is the fanboy behavior that has been very properly criticized by others in this thread.
  17. Here's my short and sweet take on this: Will I buy Platinum Passes for myself and my family again this year? Yes! Did I work hard for the money that I will spend on those passes? Yes! Would I like to know what I am getting for that money at the time I spend it? Yes! Do I like going to McDonalds and ordering a Sausage McMuffin and receiving an Egg McMuffin? NO!
  18. READ THE BACK OF YOUR PASS. Things are subject to change that's not False Info. And Just for your Info Kings Island does not offer refunds on season passes. Reading the Fine print always helps . So you don't find out you've been lied to until after you've paid money that won't be refunded?
  19. It seems that I remember 1972 much better than I should for only being 3 years old at the time. And I love the fact that the day will come when my own children will look at today's pictures the same way I look at the 1972 images. Thank you for your pictures.
  20. What are you even talking about? How is posting a picture on your Facebook page be fraud? Look at this as a publicity stunt or an advertisement if you will. Now, if they did go out and say "Buy a season pass to see the next photo!" or if they came out and announced a new ride, and then said they were kidding. But considering this action as fraud is completely irrelevant. Please re-read this thread. I did not say there was fraud, in fact I said quite the opposite. Someone else suggested that the park was misleading people with it's FB postings, which would violate the law. I disagreed with them and pointed out that the park would not do that.
  21. I see what you are saying, but if CF represents that they are planning something for that area, knowing that there are no such plans and people spend money on CF's products in reliance on those representations.... Let's just say, the law forbids that. If they present truthful tidbits of information and find that people "connect the dots" in a funny way, that is different.....
  22. Of course, for their own entertainment, they are making misleading representations to draw people to the park and sell season passes. I'm sure the consumer fraud people at the Ohio Attorney General's Office would not be entertained by such a practice.....
  23. i would have to agree, it could be a topography as stated above, it sure doesnt look like a ride, so throw that out, if it had anything to do with a ride then it would not be any type of design. im thinking maybe just a topography to let us know that they are atleast planning SOMETHING, not necessarily 100 percent in that spot. maybe they are just looking at options
  24. 1. The goose footprint on KIs facebook resembles a dinosaur footprint. 2. The land cleared behind SoB last summer would result in easier access to the area shown in those plans. 3. CF owns the rights to the name "Strato Soar". --Beatle, just stating random facts......
