Where Jan left Mike's blue prints and practically ruined the whole family's trip to KI and almost cost Mike his job-thanks a lot Jan.(LOL) I was there for the filming of Bobby and Cindy handing the blueprints off to Peter and Greg. And I was about 4 or 5 years old and saw that they were running through sections of the park on their way to the front that made no sense.......

I have been to 13 different parks in the past two years, and I must say that KI, by far, is the worst when it comes to enforcing the rules. From the smoking areas, to line jumping, to the dress code, etc. etc. etc. compared to other parks, security is virtually nonexistent at KI.

Rode Cedar Point's once. A decent view, but an absolute yawner of a ride.

So, if prefabricated wooden track is not wood, what exactly is it made of? I know many people who work at AK steel and, trust me, they do not create it by gluing thin strips of wood together!

That's what I apparently haven't made clear enough; this year the ARE trying to take your picture by force. The put their arms out, stand in your way, yell at you to stand there and pose . . . there's no need for this procedure if you put out a quality product that people want to buy. Disney's PhotoPass products are pricey, but people line up in front of the photographers. Why are there no photographers with the characters in Planet Snoopy? Or in front of the Eifel Tower? Or in Dinosaurs Alive along the trail? People would be more likely to buy these photos if they weren't only being harassed at the front of the park by 18 year olds with no social skills.... Because it was open, we were walking right past the security guard, and he was closer than a trash can. Call me Mr. Safety but that seems like a logical thing to do? Almost as logical as calling Homeland Security over all those horrible terrorists running around the park with bubble guns! Someone might get soap in their eyes! Oh, the humanity!!! LMAO!!!! --Beatle, who will remember to call 911 the next time he sees an unattended safety pin.

I agree that nothing should be skipped, if possible. But valuable time should not be wasted waiting for bad rides! If someone spends two hours waiting for Raptor and Mantis, then winds up missing out on Cedar Downs, a trip up the Space Spiral, and/or Power Tower, that would just not give them a complete experience, IMO!

It is trimmed to the point that the first drop seems slower than the lift hill!!!!!

This is our typical day..... Hit Millenium first! Then work your way around to Gemini (skip Trim Break the Ride, aka Mean Streak!!!) and then Magnum. Maverick and Dragster will have waits that you will have to deal with so do those next. Then head to the front of the park and do Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, and Blue Streak. Raptor is a typical overrated B&M watching-grass-grow cure for insomnia, so skip it unless it's a station wait or less. Mantis..... Don't bother (See my comment above about Mean Streak). Then go back and hit the smaller coasters like Wildcat and Corkscrew as well as Power Tower, MaxAir, Skyhawk and any other flats that seem interesting at the time. And make sure to ride Millenium at night above the Starlight Experience!. That is truly a beautiful view, as is Maverick at sunset!

Which is why we should refrain from jumping to conclusions at this point. Everyone should allow the detectives to complete their investigation, which takes time....... Then, as American citizens, we should closely examine what those detectives,who are paid with our tax dollars, did (or did not) do before forming any opinion....

Glad you had a nice time! But the lines you describe make me glad that I avoid Saturdays like the plague!!!!!

$4.00 (or $16.00 for a family of 4) for a ten minute movie is 40 cents ($1.60 for a family of 4) a minute. At that rate a two hour feature film would cost $48.00 ($192.00 for a family of 4). There's a Showcase Cinema across the street that is a much better value!

A 10 minute movie that is also free on youtube?!? For only 4 dollars?!?:!?! SIGN ME UP!!!!
