That's the point... Noone knows. Park employees are human beings, who act the way they do for an infinite number of reasons. Perhaps she acted that way because there was a bee in the store and she, like me, has a phobia of stinging insects, perhaps she was appalled because a customer had really bad BO, perhaps her ex-husband was in the store, perhaps....perhaps....perhaps....
-
And every time I have a bad experience at a park, I am absolutely certain that the employee involved hates me for having brown hair!

Yes, Delirium is in no way a gravity driven ride. Nor are S&S towers.....

Correct, what you say is. But a problem with one, shut them all down it will.... --Beatle, engaging in Yoda talk.....

Assuming the prototype works (times 4), you are correct....

Halloween Haunt to Feature Half-Pint Brawlers
BavarianBeatle replied to Kirk Sheppard's topic in Kings Island
Perhaps, because, in the past, the park has been short sighted in selecting its Haunt decorations. -

After wrestling with the decision, I agree that we should honor the pleas to stop the puns. Edit: KIfan types faster than I do. -

Don't sell them short just yet, this might just measure up...... -
I took my kids for the rides on Friday Haunt nights when they were 8 and 9. There were some roaming scareactors, but they tended to focus their attention on the attractive teenage girls. (Kinda like I would have done at their age...) My youngest, who was 8 at the time, observed that "They're just regular park workers in Halloween costumes." It all depends on the kids though.

Halloween Haunt to Feature Half-Pint Brawlers
BavarianBeatle replied to Kirk Sheppard's topic in Kings Island
I don't know what it has to do with Halloween either, but from what I've seen of it, it really doesn't look bad. My only question is where the park can physically place the ring, etc. -
That's not always a bad thing, especially in this case.

And that, my friend, is why you and I are so much alike! And why I often say that you say exactly what I'm thinking!!! Thank you for that post!

Halloween Haunt to Feature Half-Pint Brawlers
BavarianBeatle replied to Kirk Sheppard's topic in Kings Island
I agree it will be very fun to watch! But, I wonder why CF finds it necessary to add an "event" to a time when the park is already heavily attended. -
Yea... sure they do. Goodness, lord knows all of our ideas about the crypt have certainly paid off. The bottom line is that the people on this board are NOT Kings Islands ideal park goers. No matter how much you think the park loves you, they'd still rather have a good ol'e family of 4 any day. How much do you think the park makes off of the average 15 year old? Anyone here who talks about going to the park time after time after time this year. Why would the park want that?! What kind of money does the park make off of someone with a season pass who comes for the rides and shows, rarely plays any games, buys very little merchandise, knows that you can get water at every food stand, and knows exactly the best places to get food without spending much (relatively speaking of course). Face it, chances are, anyone reading this post right now is not the kind of person KI is trying to cater to. FAMILY PARK! We want families!! KI doesn't want a bunch of people running around nit picking about theming here, paint jobs there, when spongebob doesn't use glasses or why one theater is shut down. That all costs money!! They don't want people running around caring about what rides were removed or what are shut down. They want FAMILIES that COULD NOT CARE LESS! "Joe the plumber" rarely cares about the state of Crypt because he probably never saw it as TR or never remembers. All he wants is an $18 pizza with 3 $5 orders of fries and 4 $4 sodas for his family who each paid for a $35 one day ticket plus parking after he gives his kids each $15 to blow on games, right before they all go and get commemorative t-shirts, Eiffel Tower models, and some candy before they go and ride half a dozen rides and eat again! Now tally up how much KI makes off of you in your average visit. Joe's family doesn't care that Peanuts is here and that Nick and HB are gone where all we do is ***** that they rethemed the kids area yet again. He doesn't care that the Huss Giant Topspin formerly known as Tomb Raider: The Ride is now an indoor ferris wheel. All he cares about is that his family is having a good time and he considers his money well spent for that. You think KI wants a bunch of people running around the park complaining about the changes they make? No, they want people that couldn't care less and don't know enough to care. Say whatever you want, it all comes down to money. Sure if guests don't like the park they're not going to make money; unless of course they cater to guests that don't care enough to notice. KI is a business. Cedar Fair is a business. We're in a recession. They care about making money. When I used to go the the park as a guest, I'd take no more than $20 and never spend it all. Think about how much money the park actually makes off of you. That should give you a pretty good idea of how much Cedar Fair values your patronage. Sure it all counts; but at the same time it's all relative. They would much rather have a nice juicy family of four than a group of four mid teen season pass holders. Sadly, you may be correct. What they don't realize, however, is that we were not always the enthusiasts that we are today. Something (or many things) that the park did converted us from casual visitors to fanatics! And when we see the things that brought us back to the park years ago being taken from us, we see people who could become enthusiasts being disuaded from taking that step. I sincerely hope that Cedar Fair does, in fact, consider the views of long time enthusiasts, and does not change the things, no matter how small, that created us.

I went to KI for the first time in 1972 when I was three years old. I remember riding the log flume as my first "free fall" experience, and it scared me until I rode Scooby Doo (nka Woodstock Express), which I adored. After that was Bavarian Beatle, which became my favorite ride at the park (hence my screen name). It was two or three years later that I was tall enough to ride The Racer, which, at the time was scary to me. But, by the end of the ride, my heart was pounding, and I was laughing....Then came 1979, when I was 10 years old and got to ride the World's tallest, longest and fastest roller coaster at the only park I had ever been to. I don't know if words can describe how monumental that experience was to a ten year old in that day and age! Ever since that time, I can ride anything! --Beatle, who had tears in his eyes after his childrens' first Beast ride....

The Best Coaster you've ever ridden? TOP 5
BavarianBeatle replied to KI FANATIC 37's topic in KI Polls
1. The Voyage 2. Magnum 3. Racer (in its original form) 4. Millenium Force 5. (Tie) Raven, Cornball Expess, Superman:Ride of Steel at Six Flags America So many choices. This was hard. -
Every park, as others have said has its good and bad points, but my worst experience this year was Six Flags Great Adventure. But only because it was 97 degrees with high humidity, then it rained. Not the parks fault, by any means, but it made for an adventure that was not as great as it coulld have been. But, personally, I think CP on a crowded day with its downtime can be horrible.

First Time To Holiday World
BavarianBeatle replied to Jasper's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Yep! The chicken & dumplings at Plymouth Rock Cafe are excellent! And the food prices are wonderful. But I believe that The Voyage is better in the back, but I'm kinda old school when it comes to roller coasters! Since Raven is running only one train, wait until mid afternoon, the line will die down to a near walk on. And I always enjoy ther dive show as well. -
And remember that perch are in season this time of the year. Anywhere you can find fresh (never frozen) perch, it should be good! And Raptor's line typically gets shorter in the afternoon, while Dragsters is shorter in the morning.

Kirk does this in virtually every thread he posts in! I'm sorry to all of the other members of this site for feeding this troll!

I'm confused! markr is the member who called Selective "eccentric" (i.e. irregular, erratic, peculiar and odd). So, according to you, it is better to simply resort to name calling rather than posting videos. My head hurts. Eccentric is not an insult; its an potential explanation of someone's worldview. Posting a video where you are passive-aggressively telling someone how stupid they are and that they have made us all dumber is an obvious personal attack. And a cowardly one at that. Hope your headache gets better! If someone said you were odd or peculiar, I'm sure you would disagree. And three smiley faces followed by a video from, of all places, "Billy Madison" is somehow an attack!?! Perhaps you should limit your posts to spamming KIC with ads for your competing website!

GYK, Your posts bring to mind a certain member who, by coincidence?, was banned from this site shortly before the originator of this thread joined. I will not give that person the satisfaction of identifying him or linking to his site, but some of us know who I'm talking about. Edit: Your description of Selective is what brings to mind the former member, sorry for any misunderstanding. I was in no way referring to you!
