Do you have other fish in there? If so, carp are a bad idea. They love to eat fish eggs and can quickly take over a pond.

They're carp!!! They will eat just about anything.

That would certainly fit as well. But Ted could appear at the Media Day when they announce the ride... And, for the record beastfan11, I wanted that to sound offensive in order to satirize the "no limits" policy of the Haunt. But, I must admit, I would find that funny too.....

We were there last night as well. The weather was, indeed, perfect. We did our standard eight ride night: The Beast, Vortex, Racer, AE, SoB, Drop Tower, Delerium, The Beast..... Glad you had fun, but when it comes to SoB, my advice is to ride it when the sun starts to go down or later. For some reason, when the track is in the direct sunlight during the hottest part of the day, the ride is very rough. When it is cooler, the ride is fine. And I've always found that refrigerated Corn Huskers Lotion provides a great deal of relief when I have a sunburn.

I love it. I've seen many park guests who would fit nicely into that form of entertainment... Now my idea. Since there are "no limits" and celebrity tragedies are fair game, I would suggest a crashed airplane and a few bodies in the Swan Lake area together with a new sign: Coming in 2009....... A ride that will take you high into the air.... You will experience eratic manuevers; dips, dives, loops, circles.... Before ending with a giant SPLASHDOWN!!!!!!! In 2009, you will experience....."JFK, Jr.: The Ride"

Maybe 'terpy will back me up on this, but I've found the middle (nowadays) to be pretty rough, mainly during the twister finale...still nothing like Beast or SOB though! I have a couple of years before that trip. I won't be traveling that far until they are tall enough to ride everything.
-
I won't ride them this year. I let my kids do it without me.

Fat bottom girls...they make the rockin' world go 'round! Are there any western movies that have kinda generic names that could be used? Like Hang 'Em High? Not necessarily my suggestion, just an example. Like "Unforgiven" ?

Like I said, just do it!!! Walking away with the adrenaline still flowing is an awesome feeling!!! And, always try to remember that the most dangerous part of a trip to an amusement park is riding in the car on the way there and on the way home......
-
He said he got to do it for free...... So that record was never in jeopardy.

Many roller coasters are designed and built with trims. The purpose of the ride designer is not to make the ride go as fast as possible at all costs, but to create the illusion of danger while keeping the passenger perfectly safe. In other words, the height and appearance of a ride creates the illusion for those who are afraid of those things, but it is often necessary to slow the ride to avoid at the very least bruises and or whiplash type injuries in the corners. And, I must add that I find reading the bovine puns to be a mooooooooving experience

I've told my kids that we will be talking a trip to NJ when they reach 54 inches. Can't wait to finally ride that Spanish bull..... I've never heard a bad word said about it. Looks like we'll be there tomorrow eveining as well. Say hello to the old guy with the 2 kids if you see us......

I don't think you could have "clearly" run with the line jumpers. By your picture, you look like a fine young lady. Nothing like the low-lifes (regardless of race) who misbehave at the park!!!

Most weeknights are good, in my experience. The crowds are usually light and get lighter as the night goes on. The park also tends to clear out early on Sunday nights as well.

I wondered what they did with all the change that falls out of people's pockets!! My kids pick it up and fight about who saw it first. LOL!!!!!!

Ok, this is the first time I've posted my take on Geauga Lake. Back in the early 90s I went to law school in the Cleveland area and always went to CP. That is, until I met and dated, for awhile, a girl who loved GL. We went there in the evenings a lot and I always found it a very relaxing alternative to the huge crowds, long ride waits, higher prices and relatively more hectic atmosphere of parks like KI and CP. Ironically, my kids' baseball league had their annual "end of season" event at Stricker's Grove yesterday, which brought back memories of the peaceful nights at GL. You didn't have to do anything more than decide what you wanted to ride next, as opposed to fighting a crowd to wait in a long line....... The point is GL presented a very different experience from CP in those days........ When Six Flags took over GL, I thought they were crazy!! You can't make that park a competitor to Cedar Point is what I thought at the time and it turned out I was right. I saw them dumping huge amouts of money into that small area and saw that as nothing more than a sad attempt to immitate CP. Once again I use the word "ironically" when I say that the point of this post is that being different from Cedar Point made Geauga Lake great, while trying to be like Cedar Point made Geauga Lake fail........

Any nickles..???? Or have those all been scarfed up by the food vendors??????

Yes, they are starting to die..... Kind of sad in a way, like the passing of an era. It will be June 20 in a few minutes..... Two months since Opening Day.... Sigh!! The season is already about a third of the way over. Hope the rest doesn't fly by like the first part has........
