  1. If I got turned away after paying for the wrist band, I would have something to say about it (politely of course). And it's sad that the Spirit Song crowd, of all people, was like that.....
  2. Exactly. I used to work in a restaurant, and the music drove me crazy. Especially the muzak (sp?) christmas carols.................
  3. just remember, if you grow up, you get old. my wife makes me take my 15 yr. old to keep an eye on me. Well, "growing up" is leaning about life by experiencing things for the first time. "Growing Old" is experiencing things so many times that you get jaded... "Growing wise," on the other hand, is balancing fun and sorrow in a way that does not make you jaded, knowing that you never stop "growing up" as defined above, learning that you never stop learning, and, no matter what you experience, that you can always ride a roller coaster and feel at least a little better for a little while....
  4. Ok - That was fast... The Unlimited Drink Wristbands are for the season passholders who purchased the wristbands only. If a passholder is caught getting drinks for non-passholders or for passholders who did not purchase the drink wristband may have their season pass revoked for the violation. --Per Don Helbig, Public Relations Area Manager, Kings Island Ryan and Mr. Helbig should not have been reqiuired to waste their time with this. It should be common sense!!!
  5. We need more pictures of barings at KI If you want to see that, go to Carowinds
  6. This is a true story. A man was sitting in a barber shop located in a strip shopping center. The unit next to the barber shop was being remodled. While using a nail gun, a worker missed a stud in the wall, the nail came through the wall and struck the man in the barber chair who was getting a haircut at the base of the skull, penetrating his brain stem and killing him instantly. One second he was getting a haircut and the next second he was dead. Trust me, when God wants you, God takes you. Period.
  7. And with the heavy debt load that CF has, how good is their credit these days? I know one answer...Proabably better than Six Flags.
  8. My best guess is its stuff for the construction of the station, especially things that cant be left out in the elements. Things like control panels, PA system stuff, and things of that nature.
  9. My kids say that the crates are full of trim brakes.... Bah, humbug to them...
  10. And, of course, the inevitable lawsuit...... http://gothamist.com/2008/07/12/two_days_a...being_stuck.php My response: "Those weren't baboons, they were the lawyers."
  11. Yep. For once the park gave us a break on the prices that many of us have complained about. It's very nice that were responsive to a widely held concern. Now a few people will abuse the privilege and possibly ruin it for all of us. If they catch these individuals, they should be arrested.
  12. Followed by signs saying "EXTREME DANGER!!! If you do perverted acts in front of other guests and they're families, they may become angry and punch your lights out"..... Sigh..... Probably will sue the newspapers that printed the story too.....
  13. I think from mid June to Labor Day weekend, CP has DJ's at Millenium Force and Raptor queues. Also the music in the Mantis queue line is the same as the music in the videos-they simply turned the video portion off. It would be nice if they could have DJ's in The Beast and Firehawk lines. I suspect the new ride will have western music like Maverick, so unlikely we will see DJ"s there. DJ's don't play western music? Misting machines would be wonderful, regardles of whether there are DJ's.
  14. Your trip reports make me wish I had another adult who I could go to parks with..... I love my kids, but it would be nice to go without that pressure every once in awhile.........
  15. I fall into the category of those who have only ridden KC and Mantis. Mantis is trimmed to the point that it is not as fun as KC was. Almost as bad as Mean Streak, IMO.....
  16. As I've said before, we have a vested interest in the park making money!! If it doesn't, we could become "Aurora South...."
  17. After the incident at SFOG, that's hard to argue with. But, some of us who are parents try to teach our children not to do things like that.... I would trust my kids (who are 8 and 9) to behave properly at the park without me right now. (I trust them more than the sick people in the world who would be intent on harming children, which is why I, obviously!!, stay with them). There is already the threat involving season passes and a pair of scissors hanging over their heads if they break the rules... We can only hope that we get through to our children and that they won't do things of that nature. But, like others have said, it depends on the child.......
  18. It would be a tough choice between King Cobra, the original Enchanted Voyage, the Sky Ride, Zodiac, and, of course, Bavarian Beetle......
  19. Will 'kraut be available for those brats? And, (for my kids), what else will be served? ``Beatle, nearly full blooded German, but who's children inherited their tast in food from the other side of the family....Sigh.....
  20. I didn't say it........I 'm just repeating what I heard....LOL (again)!!!
  21. On that note, I've noticed far more people in the park this year compared to last year. My kids always count the number of rides during our visits, and, due to lines, that number is down from 12-15 rides on a weeknight visit last year to the point that we feel fortunate to get 10 in this year. Today we were there from 2 until 8:30 and only got 17 rides in. The park has consistently been much more crowded this year.
  22. Today's contributions: 1. In line for Vortex, "This ride used to be called The Bat" 2. In line for The Beast "Top Three Dragster used to be the tallest in the world, but this beat it by a few feet."
  23. You're put into the ISO database any time you make any claim what so ever. Afraid of your social security number getting out? I can guarantee that any claim rep can find your social security number, birth date, average income and address going back years - all in just 5 minutes. And any private investigator can do that as well for a rather nominal fee.
