  1. I read a little further than you. It appears that a designer from Gravity Group was spotted at HW, which sparked a rumor...... Then there were pics of a cute girl who works at the waterpark.... Then I gave up too.
  2. They obviously want to get that station under roof before winter!!!
  3. The potential for sophomoric jokes in this thread is unbelievable
  4. A better answer to "How long is the wait? About 8 months.
  5. Yes, some of the ride signs are hard to find at Cedar Point.
  6. Thank you. That would be great. BUt either way things will work out, I hope.
  7. It's nice that you don't want to cheat the system, as far to many people in today'sworld are willing to do.... But if you have measured the children honestly immediately prior to purchasing the tickets, which you OBVIOUSLY have (to the tenth of an inch nontheless), I think you can purchase the lower priced tickets without any issues with your conscience.... Edit: The park, and the world, need more people with that level of integrity.....
  8. Here is my KIC Day saga (abbreviated) so far: 1) When KIC Day was first announced, I had plans to go to a wedding with a female friend (nothing more), so I thought I wouldn't be able to go 2) She got back together with the exboyfriend, so I was let off the hook 3) I bought 2 tickets to KIC Day, planning to attend with another friend, while my two children spent the day with my family, which they agreed to 4) My family infomed me yesterday that the "whole family" (which, somehow, doesn't include us...long story) is invited to my brother's house in PA that weekend. 5) Now I'm stuck with two tickets and three people. If anyone has an extra ticket that can't be used, please PM me so I can take my kids on Saturday, otherwise, we can't go to the events. Any help would be appreciated, or maybe God didn't put me on this Earth to attend this event.......
  9. You beat me to it.... Worst news about a ride at KI consists of two words: "Flight Commander"..... It doesn't get any worse than death. Period.
  10. I took my ex girlfriend last year during HH. It was dark, and she hadn't been to the park in years. She confused "Son of Beast" with "The Beastie." Needless to say, Sonny was not what she expected.....LOL!!!
  11. Perhaps this thread could reach 6000 posts like the Rumor Coaster thread....
  12. That would be my children who suggested that.... They're 8 and 9, give them a break, at least until they're old enough to post on their own... When I'm sure they will be ornery... My 9 year old already told me his screen name will be BavarianBeatleIsATroll.... LOL!!
  13. This is hilarious!!! One of the funniest threads I've read in quite a while.
  14. Nice TR. I've only been there twice in the lat few years without kids and always loike to go without them every once in awhile. Glad you had a good time.
  15. The day will come when you and your friends will talk about that trip and LAUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My wife and I got married in Las Vegas and got diverted to Detroit on the flight back. We spent the night in those hard plastic airport chairs and talked all night....And we ended up cherishing the memories of that night we spent together with sore backs . The sunrise when we finally landed in Cleveland (we were originally scheduled to land at 11:00p.m, but landed at around 6:30 a.m.) was BEAUTIFUL......
  16. And the geysers on Maverick that make it look like a horse running through the water..... Edit: Credit to my kids for pointing out the resemblance to me.
  17. My kids' baseball league rents out Stricker's Grove at the end of every season for their awards night. Always a wonderful time! I have never seen anyone kicked out for raising their hands on the Tornado, or do any "serious snapping" on the scooters. The only time I saw anyone get kicked out (and deservedly, I must say) was when they changed seats on the train while it was moving by climbing on the outside of the train.
  18. The Beast will always be my sentimental favorite coaster on the planet. It was the signature coaster of my home park when I was a child, and a world record holder at that. Need I say more....
  19. They better change that....RAPIDLY!!. A picture of a Platinum Pass with a $79.99 price under it could be construed as false advertising and lead to ... God forbid... lawyers becoming involved.
  20. It was a good day to be a KI fan. We just got back a little while ago, and I'm sitting here in my new Dimondback T-shirt being very happy to be a KI fan. The new coaster looks great, and the events that were announced for the rest of this year sound good as well.
  21. My 8 and 9 year olds kept their hands up the first time we ever rode it. My 8 year old is fearless and my 9 year old is NOT going to be outdone by his younger brother, no matter how scared he is.....
  22. I have noticed increased attendance at KI this year as well. No where near the walkons that KI had last year almost every week night. In our present ecomony, doing "reasonably well" in a luxury type industry is actually, quite good.....
  23. I have always wondered the same thing... And I have wondered if the kids who work on the train have nightmares about "Cotton Eye Joe"....
