For those at KI tonight, y'alls better post a TR!
dare-to-fly replied to tigellinus's topic in Kings Island
I also would have thought Vortex would be running all three trains last Saturday, which it was not. The same is true with Adventure Express, but I'm not sure it needed the third judging by the lines, or should I say, lack thereof. Don't worry, Tiggy. I'm sure you can expect the usual essay from me, as I plan on doing that for all of the trips I take this year. There's never an absence of anyone else's tr's either. I'm certain you don't have to worry. We've got you covered! -
The Whip and the Giant Slide would be fine! I would say I wanted the Screechin' Eagle there, but it would break my heart when they put a giant trim on the turnaround.

Or in their eyeballs, ears, and various other openings. Flyer, who is that morbid. -
No, I didn't. Another nail in the coffin for poor old Flight Deck.

I agree completely! But it's hard to screw up a pizza for me. Most freezer pizzas and CiCi's pizza have figured out how to make me want to hurl, but other than that, I'm an easy to please person. -
I always separate my wood and steel coasters since wood always wins. Steel: 1. Diamondback 2. Goliath 3. Wild Thing 4. Phantom's Revenge 5. Millennium Force Wood: 1. Cyclops 2. Georgia Cyclone 3. Shivering Timbers 4. Skyliner 5. Screechin' Eagle My top tens in both can be found on my "about me" page.

Well, if you're sure.... I'm there alone about half the time or a little less, so it could be fun!
-
Is that good or bad to you? It's a good thing to me.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize AE was in the library! When it sounds like Son of Beast cresting the top of the lift, then we'll talk.

I completely agree. It gets cleaner every year, and I have no doubt that will continue. Flyer -
Sounds like a day of fun in the kiddie section of the park. I need to borrow your son sometime to go on Little Bill's Giggle Coaster. It's my only credit left to get at KI, and it tortures me everytime I walk past it. I believe you meant to say The Racer. Flyer, who is sensitive about that.

Only spit?? What about the gum? It needed some paint, but then so does the rest of the ride. Flyer -
It was also a major improvement.

I guess I should pay more attention to such posts...but do you really want to meet me? You'll have to hear about trim brakes all day. Honestly though, I'd love to meet more of y'all, and I think that this is a really good idea as well. I'm always glad to chat with anyone who wants to chat, and have on many occasions taken multiple coaster rides with random people I have met at the park and just started chatting with. I have met a few very interesting people in this way.

Yes but it wouldn't be too far out of character for people to ignore posts made by other users and make their own, which would lead to multiple posts on the same day, then people post in one and not the other and other people read one but not the other and people are going to KI/CP without knowing who else is going, which kind of defeats the purpose of the forum. Seeing your point. I'm still annoyed that I can't make a new thread being the control freak that I am, but I think I can live with it. I can so see that happening, so I think I'll change my opinion. Flyer, who does listen occasionally.

There's a problem. Bakuli at Holiday World looks much more like a toilet and is a significantly different ride. Tasmanian Typhoon resembles a funnel more than anything else. For me, Snowy River Rampage is my favorite. It's like The Beast as a waterslide. I love how it starts out with stairs to climb, and then goes down over a ravine through the woods and away from most everything else. It's a fabulous slide, and probably my favorite among water slides. I also like the Awesome Aussie Twister for the significant airtime I always seem to get...and trimless! Flyer, who loves the fact that you can't really trim a waterslide.

It's possible that the stop you encountered was not a e-stop, but a setup because the block ahead was full. This is a normal occurrence under 3 train operation of AE. There's a flaw in your logic. Adventure Express was only running with two trains on opening day, thereby freeing the block.

Wouldn't it be easier - especially for the administrators - for the first user to post to be the one who creates the thread, and then those who are also going can post in that same thread as well. That way there wouldn't end up being blank days when no one decides to go. (If that would ever happen.)

Just reading all of the reports was daunting for me, and I must admit that I picked and chose what to read. Since you commented on mine, I'll make sure to read yours when it was finished. Also, sorry that I didn't run into you at some point, and I don't know how we missed each other. Everyone else is saying they ran into you all over the place. Oh, well! I'm sure I'll see you this season at some point! I know the report was long, but I am a fan of details. That's why I put headings on each section. That way if someone is only interested in one aspect, they can read bits and pieces. Regardless, if one person reads it and enjoys it, it was worth it to me to write it.

Same here, that location was perfect for it. Perhaps we'll see a new Ferris Wheel placed there instead, however. We can dream, anyway. And as far as I know there is no trim on the coaster of imagination! Flyer, who finally got to make that statement!
-
I wasn't in X-base so I can't vouch for any of that. Vortex - yes there were some squeals...but a blast once on the ride. Flyer
-
More than likely...both!

Ride the coasters later on in the afternoon. The lines are usually longer in the morning and taper off then. -
Took off - uh, no...the brake is still there. I have however noticed that it wasn't on, nor was it on during the last few weekends last season, but why did you have to go and point that out? Now they'll put it back. Flyer, who wishes the one before the second lift would go the direction of the first.

I wanted the Americana Ferris wheel to go in that location, so another one could fit there just as easily. That's my hope for that area!
