Its pretty cool watching the water come out of the water dummies on the last slow barrel roll on Banshee, lol. I had to watch twice to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was.

*cough tilt-a-whirl cough* :D

Upstop, I agree about the old carnival style lights, but the thing I like about the LEDs is that they have a much better reliability rating in instances where regular cosmetic upkeep is... shall we say... lacking. Id rather see LEDs lit, than regular lamps burned out.

I agree 100% on ditching the ridiculous purple, the green I can handle, as I am one who likes unity and subtlety. If they want it to "stand out" then OK throw some red for accent stripes, and maybe some chrome/silver. EDIT: LOL nah, if Hart had helped, it would be a lot more pastel, and "Scrambler" would be written like a newspaper clipped ransom note.

LOL... NO, because it induces more facepalm worthy posts!! j/k

Tie between 2009, where I was auction rider #253 for Diamondback and initially met some very good people... a few of which I am still very close Friends with... and 2014 where I spent the day and evening with my closest of those Friends who has become more of a Brother to me (Indyguy4KI) and another small group of wonderful people, and enjoyed Banshee immensely.

And for those who DONT overanalyze things, it is looked at simply as a tidbit of history, given merely as general park information. Dont make things what they arent.

Strickers Grove's Teddy Bear
IBEW_Sparky replied to ZosoBeast's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
30 miles IS close, not close-ish, not sorta-close..... 30 miles is close. I live 150 miles.... or as a time equation 2.5 hours... away from the park, and I regularly drive 85 to 100 miles each way from my home to Indy and back regularly. To hop from KI, to Strickers, and back is laughable, and actually a perfect time/excuse to go get lower priced/better quality and service food on the way. -

I had no idea the two parks were so close together.... I may end up doing the same as Magenta Lizard, and hitting both on July 14th! -

Or Pat Koch, the Koch actually worthy of the Hall of Fame Induction. -
That Marketing team is now at K-Mart, lol.

Whatever it is, Im sure we can all agree it will be the one and only of its kind, the longest, wildest, most intense, whatever in the 513 area code and 45040 zip code. You know, since those records are always emphasized so much Sparky, only half-joking.

I will be attending on August 14th, or October 9th, or possibly both. -
And it will HAVE to have a perfect CF name, of course for all of the bird lovers, to go along with said enviro-Friendly pained suppports. You know, Something-Hawk.

I will say, I agree with their ideas in regards to the test kitchen and "high-end Chef". This is Sparky, being good -
Malem, that is something I had in my head when I was looking everything over, but I didnt want to come off like some Prius owning Greenpeacer. That is actually one big part of an ROI equation that must also be factored in, I agree 100%.

Pardon the double post.... I just wanted to make fully known that I am not anti-giga, at least if it provides a truly good ride like Fury, Im just A)playing Devil's Advocate in a way and B)hoping to show people each and every angle to look at other than just wishes, hopes, and dreams. Also, remember that Kings Island is not, and never was/never will be intended to be Cedar Point South, no matter how much some would possiibly want that.

Again I say, ridership isnt an accurate representation of attendance. If it were, the parks wouldnt so happily release those numbers. Attendance figures are kept vague at best for a reason. Now, in regards to the maps, thank you for showing those and giving your thoughts. The next time you go to the park, take a ride to the top of the Tower, and either use the viewers provided, or bring a camera with a good zoom lens. Take a look at the topography of the land, as well as the number of items that must be moved to put your plan into action. Take those findings, and place them into an ROI equation, as well as what it will take to create a safe passageway to those areas with the topography also taken into account. Once you have done that, I am betting that you will find only the area in blue still in the realistically feasible category. I could possibly be incorrect, and will do further research on my own, but from what my memory is putting in my head from what I have seen from multiple angles of the locations, I dont believe I am.
