Fuji-Q in Japan has started construction of a new coaster. It has been rumored to be an Arrow Dynamics 4-th Dimensional coaster, like X at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Well some photographs have been posted on Theme Park Review - and it is definately one of these coasters! I hear the 4Ds aren't that great - but I don't have firsthand experience. What is exciting to me, an Arrow Dynamics fanboy - is that S&S Arrow - the company formed after S&S Power bought the defunct Arrow Dynamics (the company that built Vortex and Top Gun) - is building an Arrow designed coaster. Even though they acquired the company a couple years ago - the only coaster they built was the air powered launch coaster. Now - they are building a true Arrow design! Perhaps Arrow will live on under the guide of S&S Power!!!

Hey that would be a cool idea - as a Spongebob theme! And Captain Nemo - read up a bit before you post. I said the guests on the boat could shoot back at the guests on the observation deck...

If it was Barney, it would be the Fairly Queer Coaster... And I don't know what a five year old would think - but I know that as a 22 year old white male, into Sci-Fi - I like Flight of Fear - but I would like it WAY more as a Star Trek Themed ride. The theme has meaning to me. As I said - Fairly Odd Coaster means nothing to me - but to the kids I am sure it is worth something. They get to 'live' the cartoon so to speak.

Holiday World's rapids ride can hold eight or ten people per boat - too bad its extremely boring - and the only thing that gets you wet is that stupid water curtain - which if you go under, you might as well be dunked under water.

They probably haven't started putting in the new rides yet. Does anyone know if there is going to be a construction tour? I don't see any reason PKI would release renderings... The only people who would care are the members on this forum. The public is perfectly happy waiting till the season - as knowing what they are getting this season before it begins isn't going to do them a bit of good.

That's awesome! You could shoot back at the guests on the observation platform - and maybe the op at tower three! They should fix the pay sprayers too. White Water Canyon is a ride I think could actually be easily and well themed.

I never got the whole idea of Son of Beast being bigger than Beast. Kids will be more able to relate to the ride - and if Fairly Odd Parents ever goes out of style - they can always retheme it. I had never even heard of any of the themes in Nick Universe except Spongebob and Dora - until the whole Nick Universe thing was released... But like someone told me in an IM last night - its for the kids. So you really have to put aside what you might want for yourself and think like a five or six year old.

People have seen the importance - but discussed it in other threads. The idea seems to be that since its the 35th anniversary, and Coaster Con is here - it means we are getting a 900 foot tall Intamin uber coaster or something...

Yeah, I never thought about that before. There is that sense of accomplishment riding The Beastie. Plus it is an ACE classic - what kind of name is Fairly Odd Coaster for a classic? They probably would have been better off leaving it Beastie eh?

Am I? Does anyone know if the ride is indeed identical to ours? I heard from someone that it was like reverse of ours - same layout but like a mirror. Don't know if it is true though.

It is a stupid name - I would have taken another name better - but like I said - it is the ride that counts.

^ Well put TRexRage1993! I think they wanted to get away from the Stunt Track thing cause it reminds too many people of Test Track at Epcot... And yeah if they had Moskau: The Ride - I would soooo work that. I can't do that funny Russian dance though...

They could call it Michael Bolton - its still a good ride. It is small - but I have to say its a great coaster. Its better than a lot of grown up coasters I have been on.

He probably would - he could thrown in some Wonderpark footage too.

Ohio Revised Code 1711.551 states that failure to obey all instructions and directives given to you by the park (rules written and unwritten, and ride op instructions) is a misdemeanor and as such will result in serious pwnage.

Yeah Di$ney is alot more expensive than PKI - but its a lot higher caliber too. You would never see an attraction even worthy of standing in Expedition Everests shadow at a Paramount Park. Not that I hate Paramount or anything - but Tomb Raider and Flight of Fear are pretty much the upper extent of their theming - and it is nothing in comparison with some of the things you find at Universal and Di$ney parks.

If Mean Girls was a ride - what exactly would be ridden? I also think War movies shouldn't be made into rides.

Night at the Roxbury is a Paramount Movie? That would be a great ride! SCORE!

Good jorb - yous done called that one. I still think it sucks though. Just have to wait and see. IJST looked cool, and sucked. So what happens when it looks suck? Does it kick ass or does it suck even more than it looks? Just have to wait and see.

I use iMovie with DivX pro - cause everyone knows that Windows Movie Maker is Microcraps half assed answer to iMovie and Final Cut.

If it actually was a full circuit coaster like DiskO it might be cool - but still pretty big for the little ones. If not its just a carnie flat ride...

Nothing would be so Unfortunate an event as the removal of the best roller coaster on the planet. Eagles were cool - but just another park ride. Vortex is the only ride at PKI I would truly be saddened over losing. Im not going to worry about it though - its their coaster they can do with it what they want. But it would be a great tragedy...
