CAN everyone ever?
TheKlockster replied to The-Snapper's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think it would be cool to talk about other parks. I have not been to many. I plan to go to several more parks next summer. I can't wait. So yeah I will admit I am kind of a n00b - but I will get 50 coasters without Cedar Point. But even though I haven't had first hand experience with many parks, I am very interested in the whole industry. And I like talking and learning about other parks. Unfortunately if I were to start a topic about Silverwood, I don't think it would go far. Most people haven't been there. And everyone else just wants to talk about fear fest or like 10 threads about what were getting next year and in 2007. -
Nice pictures, as usual. The Kraken pictures came out very nicely. That ride looks great. And whats with the springbox inside the column on that slingshot???

Vekomas are rough. That's what I liked. After T2 you alls were like OW OW OW. I was like OMFG THAT WAS FREAKING AWESOME! Remember that Expedition Everest is a first of a kind coaster - using a Vekoma made track very similar to B&M track. @ the El Toro pun (spanish for The Bull) We just need to wait and see how these coasters turned out. Voyage looks incredible - and looked like its only obstacle would be overthrowing Thunderhead - but now we see there is another contender in the game...
-
I said the Gravity-Group loving Vekoma Hating ACErs... I am kind of an ACEr - I mean I am an American, and a Coaster Enthusiast - I just don't gots the 50 bucks... But I like Gravity Group aka CCI - but I LOVE Vekoma. Every Vekoma I have been on has kicked ass!
-
Nobody has really thought of that before. And Expedition Everest is going to be sweet. I hope I get to ride it sometime. Don't trash talk it cause it is a Vekoma and automatically crap in the books of the gravity-group loving ACErs... Yes it is pretty clear that Voyage will take the title as best WOOD coaster. Then again it might not topple Thunderhead, or El Toro might beat it. I think Voyage will claim the title though. But as far as Steel and Wood - don't get too disappointed if Voyage doesn't claim it.

I did 10 on FOF and 11 on Beast. It was great. WE LOVE THE HELIX!!!

Don't just show up for this... You had to have registered with Maureen prior to it. If you show up you probably wont be riding...

SOB would be tight with X Car trains... And they aren't POS trains... They are PSV trains...

Kings Island to Overhaul Children's Area for 2006
TheKlockster replied to ZosoBeast's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
That would be Roller Skater. I love that ride!! So smooth! Just one of two SFKK examples of how Vekoma owns B&M... -
There are two bears. There is the big bear on the way to the waterpark, then the engineer bear on the way back.
-
It will be an excellent ride. I am just saying PTC trains aren't the only trains out there. If you rode Son of Beast with a PTC train you would be begging for the Premier trains back. They were designed to be used on Son of Beast. PTC trains just wouldn't work. The Premier ones are extremely strong - designed to handle the force and banking you encounter on Son of Beast.
-
They had to use the Premier Trains because PTC trains would not have survived the stress on them. But assuming they could survive going around Son of Beast without being destroyed - they would HURT. Just cause Holiday World uses PTC trains on their coasters doesn't mean thats like the official right way to do it... So quit hatin...
-
Son of Beast is rough because of its design. And so what if it is using special trains. They are wood coaster trains... They are built like steel coasters, but they are definately designed for use on a woodie. And would you rather use a PTC on Son of Beast? Do you have any idea how much WORSE a PTC would be??? That is assuming it could even handle the stress - which is why they had to get special trains in the first place.

PKI Dude doesn't post on here anymore... But yeah this is a Paramount's Kings Island website, and a Nickelodeon Universe thread. What the hell else are we going to talk about? Should we randomly start talking about Dance Dance Revolution or OJ Simpson right in the middle of this thread? You can pretty much expect NU discussion in the NU thread... -
Indeed - so ACErs beware! It isn't hard to tell who's going to POV and who isn't either. Even if your camera is hidden its easy to tell if you're going to pull it out on the lift...

Kings Island to Overhaul Children's Area for 2006

Yeah everyone is entitled to their opinions on this, and there is no right or wrong. When I found out about Italian Job, I was like oh poo. It sounded ok. I didn't get that excited about it. And I still was let down. Then again there were other people who were like OMFG Italian Job!!!! And they love it. I actually think this new Nickelodeon Universe expansion blows Italian Job out of the water. And they aren't even done announcing 2006 yet! -

I am 21 and have no kids - but I am excited about the new kids area. It looks really cool - where the old HB was kind of stale... I think it will be high energy and that the kids will LOVE it! -
I know what thats's like! Hope to see some people there - I will be there all day. Oh and remember - on ride photography is not permitted. You will not get away with it - so don't even think about trying. We had a lot of people who tried to do on ride photography at Beastbuzz - but of course they were caught!
-
I still think those wood coasters with the steel supports look odd... But I guess what matters is how fun they are to ride.
-
Patriot does indeed look *****in. I wanted to ride it till I found out how far away it is. It is like in northwest Missouri. Would be a good stop on a trip involving SFStL and SDC though...

I'm not! I was just posting the link to the other thread!
