Who was responsible for supervising the Campground? Was it park security? Personally, if I was from out of town I would rather stay at a hotel than a campground. Like I might stay at a campground if I really don't have a lot of money but want to do a trip somewhere - since it is so cheap. But in general, I wouldn't. I have done my fair share of camping. I have camped at Yellowstone National Park three times, Ruby Reservoir twice, Red Lodge Montana and a camp in Salmon Idaho. And by camping - I mean sleeping bags and tents - none of this hard sided crap. But I don't particularly like tent camping. Woke up once, when I went to Red Lodge - with moose tracks right outside the tent door, that were not there when I went to sleep... So I don't get why someone would base their decision on whether or not to go to a theme park based on whether or not that park has their own campground? Like other people have said - there are other campgrounds close by. Besides - yeah PKI has never supported all forms of lodging. They just had the campground and the hotel. I think the nudist colony was on the third deck of the Eiffel Tower - the VIP deck!

Have you seen Project Strata Force by hansixx? It is a No Limits creation - and it kicks serious ass. 499 foot tall Intamin coaster with huge airtime! -

I might go out next spring! For Lagoon, Silverwood and my sisters graduation! Lagoon is a good park too. They have a reptar and an old school John Miller woodie and a TopScan! -

Actually - I have firsthand experience with this one. Non stop driving - it is about 27 hours or something like that. It is like 23 hours to get to Bozeman Montana, and Couer D Alene is like 4.5 hours past that. It is a very very very boring drive. Especially North Dakota!!!!!!! I have never been to Couer D Alene Idaho - but I have been to Salmon Idaho for Kayaking and rafting!!!! -
INTAMIN or B&M?

Yeah I really like Patriot's paint job. I wish I could see some more - but it appears that CSF (I am guessing SOFCO was bought out or renamed) seems to be keeping all of their track indoors till shipping - to avoid the prying eyes of the ACErs and ACEr wannabees. -
I once took a Son of Beast recreation in No Limits and turned it into a Vekoma Motor Bike Coaster...
-
Yeah there is. Raven and Legend both pwndizzle Beast's night ride. But don't get me wrong - Beast is AWESOME at night! It is a totally different ride and kicks major ass!!!!!!
-
Why? It would still have the problems that it has right now. The design of the entire ride is what makes it rough.
-
It is rough, but I agree with AZ - I don't see how they can fix it. Track is track. If the old track gets beat up and rough - and they replace it with new track - it is just going to happen again... The problem is in the design of the ride itself - which isn't something that can be readily fixed by just replacing some lumber.

Man those are awesome photos! It is cool to see some of the stuff that can't be seen on RCDB or sites like that. And even the coaster pics are great. That one looking down the axis of the zero g roll on Ice Dragon where Fire Dragon goes over it - awesome pic. Thanks!
-
Sorry to ask this - but where is Psycho Path? That sounds kind of cool!

Did you bless any of the facilities with your holy water?

Troika is the second best ride in the park!!!!!! No really - I LOVES it - I could ride it all day. Its real name is Shake, Rattle & Roll - it is a HUSS Troika ride built in 1975! The second of its kind in the world (and to date the best run!) In case you are still confused - it is a little like the scrambler, and has a dark green ride structure with GREEN, ORANGE and YELLOW cars. Seven cars on each arm - with three arms. The cars spin in a circle around each arm, then the whole ride spins, then the arms lift the cars up in the air. It is right next to Vortex, across from Happy Days Diner!

^ LOL "its an airtime orgy" -travel channel video

Saturday was a pretty hectic day... I couldn't believe how busy it was. I spent the whole time down at Vortex and Troika though so I have no idea what the rest of the park was like - but I did get a lot of complaints about the lines. The lines at Pride Night were almost non existant. Like monster would have times it would just sit there with no line at all waiting for someone to get in line!!!

Yes - Spongebob is GONE.

I have seen that video too. Just because Robb freakin Alvey doesn't like it doesn't make it a bad coaster. He isn't the authority on rides - hes just some dumb guy who likes to do on ride videos and make fun of theme parks. -
yes but no other PTC trains have three bench trains AND six cars per train. If they took the newer 3 bench PTC trains, like you find on Tornado - and put six of them on Beast it would be a lighter train because the cars are lighter. It doesn't matter if it is a 2 car train or an 18 car train - the weight of a single car is that I am talking about, and the newer PTC 3 bench cars are lighter...
-
Tornado at Strickers Grove has 3 bench PTC trains... They are significantly lighter than Beasts trains - more like 3 bench versions of what you see on Raven or Legend at Holiday World.
