I am sure PKI has either a Lightning Detector or some form of RADAR. Either that or they watch the weather channel. But they stay on top of the weather. And there ARE two lightning rods in the park - not IS... And LegendRider... ohter?
-
That looks tigHT. Just wait till you ride both Voyage and Kentucky Rumbler. I am willing to bet that KY Rumbler is 10 times better.
-
j00 got pwnt.

Like Apollos Chariot - you could just drive a convertible really fast and dodge geese... I heard PKI will get a highly themed fully imersive dark ride adventure! Its not a roooooooooooler coaster.... It's not a motion simulator... Its not ... THIS... It is a highly themed, fully immersive dark ride adventure!!!!!!!!!! The ride may be themed to a Paramount movie starring Angelina Jolie. It may be an old rumor though...

I had Coffee with the Kochs and they said two things - they were going to put a Zero G roll on the Voyage and they were going to unban Canobiefan.
-
It will be a wooden zero g roll.

The main question of the thread is what kind of food will be at winterfest. The FOF question was just a BTW thing. I know you have a lot of authority on here, being an ACEr and a Rides Supervisor - but be easy on the guy! On a forum like this with so much activity stuff gets quickly buried and doing a search for "winterfest" is going to return hundreds of results That is one of the things I hate about Thrillnetwork. There is way too much forum activity and it is almost impossible to keep up with it. In one days time a thread can easily get 25 pages or more... And I hate Coasterbuzz cause it just plain sucks.

We have something just like Skyhawk. It is red, white and yellow, and located next to the Slingshot and is rarely open...
-
The only food I buy from park restaurants is the Calzones from the rivertown LaRosas.

So the trains at HW are kept well lubed... So what if Voyage reaches 70? It won't be 78.9 now will it?

Help put THE BEAST to sleep for the season

Yeah it is going to RAIN RAIN RAIN! I am going to get my rides in tomorrow so if anyone wants to see me in ACEr mode I will be there. I am also hoping the stuff is 50% off clearance again! I'll pick up one of everything! -
Anything is possible but I really don't think it is a Disko.

You might want to check your sources. PLC is a Programmable Logic Controller - it is a high powered computer. Carnie Rides do not have PLCs... LOL They have systems of automation but not PLCs. PLCs are used in multi-point saftey systems and ride enables, as well as multi-block operation. So basically - Roller Coasters and extremely complicated and large flat rides.

I will see if I can meet up for the final ride on Beast. Last year I know some employees got off and made it for the final ride... Come by and see me on Sunday! I will be the fat guy working either the best or second best rides in the park.

Help put THE BEAST to sleep for the season

Last year they did three trains. I am assuming they didn't have any people that didn't get to ride - but they made it clear they were only running 3 trains. I was on the second train. -

I'd rather finish off the season with Vortex - which is what I fully intend to do... I went to The Beast ERT last year and it was pretty stupid. We waited for about 45 minutes in the freezing cold, then were let in line, got on the train and did one ride. By far the longest I have ever waited for Beast, and the second longest for any ride. -
No I don't get wut you mean... And I don't see why everyone was talking about employees not saying certain things. What started that? Nobody posted anything illegal in this topic.
-
Not to mention the occasional disinformation... Some employees make up total BS when it comes to stuff - like why a ride is closed - it ran out of gas. Is FACE/OFF getting a second train next year? Probably. Is Vortex sinking? Definately.
-
LOL!!!! ^ So I take it Voyage will take two minutes to load? I might hit Cedar Point next season if I have the time and feel like blowing the cash. If I have extra time and money I will probably spend it better going to some place like Kennywood or maybe a round two at Holiday World!

And the parking lot! He said this year it would look like Busch Gardens! I don't see any difference in the parking lot other than they made some idiotic adjustments to the traffic flow, and planted like five or six trees. They also changed the size of some of the lots. They cut the employee lot in half and made the other half public parking. Yeah the park is always like OMFG THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST IMPROVEMENT EVAR!!!!!! And it ends up not quite living up to expectations. Look at IJST. The fishtailing effect is barely noticable unless you sit in White 6 (thanks for the tip Nick). The stair effect never arrived. The sound was broken 1/3 of the way into the year (not that you could hear it after launch anyways) and the ride closes alot.

Yeah there are descriptions of lots of different typr of Mack coasters on RCDB. And keep in mind Avatar will be a first of its kind coaster. Heck maybe it is a Peterbuilt coaster. Check out this cool picture of Avatar I found. It kind of tells you what it will be like. http://pictures.rcdb.com/picmax/paramounts...and/avatar1.jpg

Keep in mind the rumor comes from Screamscape. I could send in any BS I make up off the top of my head and they would post it. Also it might not be a huge park - it could be something smaller like Wild Adventure or Lake Compounce or Silverwood. There are tons of parks out there. To list the top few parks in the country and say - well there not getting it so it must be PKI is really dumb. How do you know it isn't this? Or this? And the list could go on...
-
I think it looks so awesome. I may end up liking this one better than Voyage simply because it looks like a better ride. Airtime is not even on my list of priorities on determining how well I like a ride. I could like a ride with no airtime better than a ride with seven and a half minutes of airtime.
-
I think now I am actually looking more forward to this coaster than Voyage.

The Legend, The Captain, The Alien, And the Mod

So do isn't Vortex the best ride in the park??? Whether you do it in the front or the rear its still awesome!
