  1. Yeah I thought it was really fun to work it! And the lines werent bad at all and the crowd was really fun and friendly!
  2. Well its not just that Beast has 3 bench trains - but for 3 bench PTCs they are especially heavy.
  3. What about Raven, Legend and Voyage? Those are all three Terrain Coasters - especially Raven that totally hugs the ground - and they have extreme airtime.
  4. Plus the 3 bench trains on Beast are much heavier than the 3 bench PTCs on other coasters - such as Tornado at Stricker's Grove. Keep in mind Beast has always had trims - it just used to be skids instead of magnetic brakes. That meant that it didn't trim as much, and if it was rainy it would go faster. The magnetic brakes always slow the train to the same speed regardless of how heavy it is or what the weather is like. The layout is ok - I think it could be amazing though. Turn the brake shed into like 3 bunny hops. Make the track between the end of the brake shed and the base of lift two have greater elevation changes (the high points higher, the low points lower) and increase the banking. Then bring the trees in closer to the track. Then in that long brake run at the end of the ride add one or two more little bunny hops. If they did that, Beast would be a freakin awesome ride.
  5. I would buy Holiday World but I don't think they would sell it!!!! I think I would by Lesourdsville Lake and really clean it up and add some good rides like an Expedition Ge Force type ride and maybe a Gravity Group woodie and some good high thrill small flat rides. I would probably have to buy some surrounding land as well - or take out the Serpent! LOL
  6. WTF - you already asked this at the top. I think it should stay Beastie. I agree with Rickster. Kids think - WOW I RODE The BeastIE!!!!!! They think they're so cool cause they rode The Beastie - a miniature Beast! If it is Fairly Odd Coaster or some other Nick Theme it will just be another coaster... I guess next they will theme Beast to Forrest Gump or something...
  7. I understand why you do it - but it kind of sucks that those of us that actually want to talk about things besides PKI don't count... Of course people like GigglingGreenGhost and Scooby Doo - where all they talk about is PKI - they are going to have massive post counts...
  8. Yeah I agree. They should count. I mean Spammers get banned anyway, so its not a big deal. And honestly - there isn't THAT much to talk about that is only PKI related. This is a community site - so posts should count in all categories. I mean like I said especially in the offseason - there isn't anything about PKI to talk about. And someone once said post count is a way of telling who the contributing members are. Well some people on this site make most of their posts in the community forums. And they are not spam. They are intelligent and contributing posts. Why not make community forum posts count - and then just make a forum for games that doesn't count?
  9. After fearfest is done I think a brightly colored style would be cool!
  10. I don't like it at all... I miss the old PKIC from the time before PKIU merged with it. I liked that color scheme... I REALLY do not like this Fearfest adaptation to the site though...
  11. This new ride looks amazing. Nobody has mentioned the stats yet (though L*R did compare it to the Voyage in another thread ). So here it is! EL TORO Length: 4400' Height: 181' Drop: 176' Speed: 70 mph Duration: 1:42 Max Vertical Angle: 76 Degrees 181' tall Lift Hill with a 176' drop at 76.0° 112' tall Hill 100' tall Hill 82' tall Hill 76 degree drop! That is 14 degrees away from being a WOODEN DIVE MACHINE!!! The ride is made by Intamin and uses prefabricated track. They just ship it over here, and it goes together like lego bricks.
  12. Log Drop! Irritable Bowl Syndrome! Rotating Surfboard of Death! Wouldn't it be great?
  13. I thought Screeching Eagle still had the big bars that go across both seats. I really hope Lesourdsville Lake reopens - it is a great park!
  14. Spike TV is owned by Viacom. I would really like to see MXC as a live show at PKI!
  15. You know who has good food - Holiday World! The Alamo! Kringles Pizza. I think Kringles is even better than PKIs pizza or even Pizza Hut!
  16. Well one thing will show you what this board thinks about other parks. Posts in this forum do not count. The only posts that count are the ones about PKI...
  17. Have you seen that layout on RCDB? It is so crazy? Timber Terror is a out and back coaster - just like a miniature Shivering Timbers. It has excellent airtime. And Tremors is just awesome! I think it is in the top 10 along with both Raven and Legend! The park has a waterpark too. It may be a small park with only 4 coasters, and it is well out of the way of everything, but I really want to go. What I would is fly out there, and since the layover is in Salt Lake City, I would have an extended layover and do Lagoon. Then Silverwood!
  18. It was posted on either ThePointOnline or PointBuzz that it would be closed indefinately until it can be fixed. They seemed to think it wouldn't reopen this year - at least last time I checked. Does anyone know if Kingda Ka is open yet?
  19. This is one of the parks I am going to next summer. I can't wait. I am really looking forward to Viper, Deja Vu and Demon. Especially Demon! Arrow Custom Looping Coaster!!!!!!!
  20. Silverwood Thread I started a thread about Silverwood! Let's see how it goes! Someone will probably post "Um this is a PKI board we shouldn't talk about this here..."
  21. Silverwood Theme Park Has anyone been to Silverwood? I think the park looks really nice. It is a small park like Holiday World. And then they have two awesome coasters. Timber Terror and Tremors. Tremors has an insane layout, so much airtime, and it goes through several tunnels including a plexiglas tunnel THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP! They also have Corkscrew, which was relocated from Knott's Berry Farm - which was the very first Arrow corkscrew and is still thrilling theme park fans 30 years after it was built in 1975! The park isn't heavily themed, but they have Garfield and Odie and stuff as characters. So that's an added bonus! I really can't wait to get to this park. My family lives a couple hours away from it, so I hope to get out there in the next couple years. Silverwood is in Couer d' Alene Idaho.
