I rode it the first year it came out. I feel sad to say, I waited the full que. It was over two hours. I was very disappointed. It was enclosed then. I has never been open air cars.

I doubt that making rails for the trains would make much sense. They probably do things like replace wheeels and brake fins and other things on the bottom of the train. Also, putting them on tracks would take much more space to store them.

If you truly think that squid is the best ride to operate, you should really transfer to North Pie this year. I am sure that everyone on the crew would love to have you work all the squid that you wanted to. If I had to be honest I have to agree with you that SDATHC is one of the best and easist rides to work. However, in my opinion squid is one of the worst. Especially between 3 and 6 pm when the umbrella is of no help and you literally sit there and bake in the sun.

It was brought up on the boards a while back and I was just wondering what everyone thought about Winterfest returning to PKI.

I think that you could be surprised. I am putting my money on a Giga. The last two big rides the park has put have had their problems, TRTR and SOB. They need something big and reliable to make up for it. PKI has put in record breakers before. There is no reason why they wouldn't do it again.

Has anyone else noticed that PKI's website has not been advertising gold passes for next season, does this mean that there will be no gold passes next season? As sucessfull as the gold passes were, I know that the employees tended to get frustrated with the special things that put extra strain on us.

Actually, there is a ride at Fear Fest that has, count them, four PT characters left over and on display. Two of them are very obvious. And the other two took me fours hours of working at that ride to even notice they were there.

Here is the best advice I can give you, if a ride is not on the list do not anticipate it to be open, however, if rides not on the list are open be thankfull. The rides department will work very hard to get as many rides as they can open. The problem is that the majority of workers are some sort of student and still have class on Friday the sixteenth.

I had to find out about wierd Al coming to PKI through his website. The best way to find if a specific group is comming may be to look at that specific groups website.

Don't be surprised if there are rides that are closed that night. I believe that all of HB will be closed. That date is not even listed on my work schedule as a day that our crew will be working. Hopefully someone can back me up, but I doubt that Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle will be open that night.

In answer to the legality of taking pictures. I think I have the diffinative answer. PKI says that taking pictures on a ride is not a safe practice. Therefore, the rule falls under the following: Ohio Revised Code Section 1711.551 This Code requires all guests to follow safe conduct rules that involve the rides. Any guest in violation of posted safety rules and regulations is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on the first offense and a misdemeanor of the fourth degree for any subsequent violation. This law is posted on every Fun and Safety guideline for every ride in the park. This means that if a park employee tells you not to take pictures, which is for safety reasons, you are guilty of a misdemeanor. This law would apply to any amusement ride in the state of Ohio.

I doubt if PKI had much say in the size of the seats. They are probably a standard seat on any Huss frisbee ride. If there is any one to be upset with, it should be Huss. When a park like PKI buys a cookie-cutter ride, they can pick colors, but probably have very little say in what the specs are.

I hate to admit this but the first year Kings Island was PKI I waited a pathetic three hours for Top Gun. I have probably waited similiar times for other rides in the park, however I can not remember which ones. I feel so pathetic.

Don't feel too bad, when the crew got to ride it on our training day, one of the crew members got below a three hundred. So, don't feel bad. I personally got a 900.

It is Good Friday. Most Catholic private and some public schools will take the day off.

I will be working at Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle.

I am sorry, but I am not excited. I am really looking forward to comming back and working this year, however I currently live in Toledo and will be living there until May. So, I will be excited once I get to come back.

I was looking at the ebay website. The tickets for the first rides on Scooby are for Saturday the 12th. Does this mean that Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle will not be open on the eleventh for season pass holder preview night?

Those photos could have been taken as late as Saturday morning. When I was there for training on Saturday I watched the workers paint in the window that is on the second level. The castle also looks more distressed in person. They are doing a good job of making it look old and scary.

I think that it is going to be just the opposite. There was a news report I saw recently that said that international travel was down. I think that you will see PKI have better attendance being that it is a local park that cater's to local people.

I wish that they would bring it back. I thought that I was the only one who thought that the pits were the best part.
