  1. Will they mention Mantis or just Rougarou? Time will tell.
  2. Will the findings of this report by the HSE be made public? i have no idea how that works...
  3. I wish I could go to this I love me some local craft beer.
  4. They are all shorter trains with multiple trains on the course at once. It sounds like a change in operating procedure will be implemented on these rides.
  5. That is indeed a valid and good question, but if the claim can be legally made is it still not decent marketing to tout something like that?
  6. Dynamic pricing is always going to upset someone...They probably should have just pushed the cheap season passes in Indy and Nashville rather than cheap day tickets.
  7. I have not been to Great Wolf but it does look nice. My point however is how can we bash them for not advertising and then turn around and take another swing when they do? Is this conversation still a reasonable critique or are we just going after KK for every single action/inaction good or bad? The former can be very interesting to read and discuss, the latter not so much.
  8. The more I read about this, the more I am convinced it was operator error. This is a very sad situation for all involved.
  9. So for all their faults are we now knocking them when they do run an ad and in such tout a positive about the park. KK does have a pretty nice water park (even if all the slides are not open at the same time...) No offense man but I just don't how this is a negative. It's one thing to discuss the parks missteps here in hopes that they do certain things better in the future but some of the posts here boggle my mind. If a national newspaper ranked them as one of the best water parks in the US I would expect they run that in an ad and be proud of that.
  10. Have there been any reports of any other rides with those trains being closed as a precaution until the investigation is complete? Why has this particular installation been so problematic when others have not? My gut feeling on this is that theory of the ride being in maintenance mode is probably correct.
  11. My fingers are crossed it will be open on the 7th...breath not held, but fingers crossed.
  12. I personally don't have a problem with him. I know he is polarizing to some. I have encouraged two other people to join his club.
  13. I too am Club TPR. It is a good value for all you get whether you like Robb or not.
  14. I am sure it will be a nice park, I just hate to see history destroyed when it could be saved. I am planning on visiting this season. It looks like my plans are going to have to be bumped up so I do not miss out on riding this classic.
  15. Terpy do you know if this is a park level decision or from CF? If so,can you share?
  16. you may be right but it just seems like a dumb error to me.
  17. Do you think maybe the reporter heard them wrong and quoted "7" weekends instead of "several" ? It makes no sense for the park to say they have been open longer than they have for the season, especially if they are talking attendance.
  18. It seems like they have their hands full with T3 currently...
  19. Marketing most of the time is saying exactly what you can get away with legally...0-600,000 guests year over year...That makes their claim probably "technically" true...sounds good to the dumb masses, er GP, but certainly laughable to those of us that follow the industry a little closer than your average park goer. Hopefully for the parks sake they can make a similar claim next year. I'm not holding my breath but I wish them well as I really want to ride a remodeled Twisted Twins in 2016.
  20. I see your point, but I guess it would come down to how many people they could actually draw from the market with KI so close. I live about the same distance to both parks, a little closer to KK. I have a pass to both for variety's sake. However, if I lived near Cincy, I would spend way more time at KI(and purchase a dining plan) and probably visit KK once a year like I currently do Holiday World. If Hart doesn't think he will draw much from KI's market and will potentially cause investment in KI that will further hurt his numbers, then not advertising there makes sense. It's a gamble either way I suppose so I don't think the lack of advertising in that market is a blunder.
  21. That would seem to be one of Ed's more sound business decisions then...second of course to buying Lightning Run.
  22. I agree and would not be surprised to see this happen along with the re-opening of the International Restaurant now that the elevator has been installed. That would be an epic place to watch said night time show. This plus a new dark ride are my predictions for next year
  23. Purely based on online video as I have not ridden either ride, Guardian was a bit of a let down but Voyage looks amazing. I love the theme. Between this and Magic Mountain's new area, Steam Punk is the in thing for parks in California this year.
