Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees

This clearing by Beast- is it after you cross under the 2nd lift? -
^They are also competing against the wooden equivalent of B&M, GCI (since they are advertising their Topper Track as 'wood' coasters).

If you go up the Eiffel Tower on a windy day, you will feel it sway.

If this is a GCI, I wonder if they can set it up with 3 train operation minus a MCBR a la Banshee. -

Over the river and through the woods.... Why do people go to grandma's house, or in this case, the train house? Holidays, and what holiday event is rumoured to come back this year? Winterfest, so it could be a hint for Winterfest and not the said coaster. Logically, a lot of Christmas trees are felled for the holiday season, people travel over rivers and woods to get to relatives, Christmas tree farms have signs that say watch for falling trees, so it could all just be.....a diversion....or maybe this is a diversion, who knows. 2017? Winterfest confirmed. -

^But those pictures spread like wildfire on the internet. Even if you weren't there, you could have seen them. -

We had footings in the ground on opening day of 2013. That's about as early of a tease as you can get. -
^I-64 is incredibly out of my way. I'm giving myself over 2 hours to drive down there anyhow. Going through Lexington tacks on an extra hour for me. I'm going on July 1st. I plan to get there as close to when the park opens as possible and will probably stay at least until 7 pm, or at least until I get in all the major coasters a few times (I like to take in a new coaster by riding it throughout the train) as well as hitting a few of the other rides and exploring the park in general since this is my first visit. I'm not doing Hurricane Bay though.

In getting to KK from Cincy, am I better off going I-71 through downtown L'ville to I-65 or should I loop south on I-264?

Do we have a commandment on not messing with Beast just as we have one for Adventure Express? Seriously though, if we're seeing that big of a clearing area (between RFYLCB and Beast), then consider me impressed. -
LIM/LSM technology has been around over 2 decades now. Why is RMC suddenly having problems with it? The industry has launch coasters down to a science now.

Ride spieling thoughts?

As long as that Sparta spieling guy that used to work on Beast doesn't come back to triple stack trains, we'll be good. -
^RCDB really couldn't be bothered to check the website where its clearly spelled 'Haunted'?

I'm seeing too much conflicting information on the interwebs to draw conclusions at this point. I think we should sit back and see what happens to see how true it is. -

Here's how you should acknowledge photos around here people- @stashua123- Nice photos! Please and thank you. -
TPR is drinking the Screamscape Kool-Aid. I know Dollywood posted that, but I'm seeing evidence of the contrary right now on the interwebs.

Nothing from the following sites or Facebook accounts on their respective RMC's- Kentucky Kingdom SDC SFMM SFDK SFGAm SFNE SFoT SFFT SFM EDIT: Nothing on RMC's main webpage or FB account. EDIT2: Take this how you want, but Screamscape (I think I hear salt shakers) is saying that RMC made that order.

Ride spieling thoughts?
silver2005 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think spiels should be kept short, mostly keeping to things like buckling the seat belt before pulling down the restraint, explaining more elaborate restraints (like on Firehawk), throw in a welcome and telling exiting riders to have a good day, maybe even throw in a few (correct) ride stats if loading/unloading takes a while. Keep it simple, but I don't mind some professionally ad lib bits. -

I don't know, man. They put a lot of good information out there (this time) so they can't be that bad. Would you pick Buzz over TPR? I mean, that's the big two... Let's just say I used to be a staff member there (coaster-net), and the behind the scenes crap is beyond idiotic. If y'all wonder why I can pull up info on coasters/parks so quickly, its because I did loads of research being a news and editorial writer over there as well as writing a few rides and park pages (all of which have been changed and/or removed since my departure). As Forrest Gump would say- That's all I have to say about that. -

Ugh...Coaster-net....I hate them more than my combined dislike of TPR and Screamscape.
