  1. Call me crazy, but I just had a radical theory. GCI is currently working on a CCI designed coaster out west in GhostRider, including adding Millennium Flyers. Maybe something similar here? Perhaps slap in a 90 degree banked turn or 2 in there (which could be done on Legend on some parts)? I don't know how Holiday World's relationship with Gravity Group is going currently, but that also might be the point.
  2. I hope they offer the option not to wear them. While it might help the parks rekindle old attractions, the technology is up to par now-a-days, and some people may clamor for it, I for one go to amusement parks to get outside, away from electronics and such. I could see it working on indoor rides, such as a certain theater with moving seats between The Racer turnarounds... Why wasn't this around when Tomb Raider needed re-theming?
  3. Renovate all the restrooms and improve the food service. Also add some shade to the sea of concrete that is Soak City.
  4. Not everyone does the behind the scenes tours and such as well, nor does everyone know what goes on in the off-season.
  5. ^Its especially important on the Red side, where it comes super close to the WindSeeker queue.
  6. That skyline always brings a smile to my face when I'm driving up the peninsula.
  7. Did Kings Island say whether or not they're repaving the parking lot or is there any evidence of such going on? I mean, it's going to be straight up gravel in a few years the way its deteriorating.
  8. Because Timberliners are working soooo well for Hades 360... (Looks at most recent Mitch Hawker poll) Oops.
  9. I hope those lights come in red, as I think a certain hyper coaster in Rivertown could use such lights.
  10. I'll put this another way- With the park's ineptitude at PR, do you really expect any of them would be any good at designing stuff on No Limits?
  11. I rather liked the DJ's Cedar Point utilized back in the late 90's. They were engaging with guests and made for a positive line experience if ever there was one.
  12. I doubt Kingda Ka would be open at those temperatures, but imagine the wind chill at 128+ mph.
  13. Though, if you're sitting in the last car and get a gust of wind in the right direction...
  14. I hear a lot of people that say they avoid Diamondback to avoid getting wet.
  15. I do have to say I love to play all three of these. But alas, I must keep to the poll. Seeing a lot of love for the band from Liverpool.
  16. I was wondering when PTC was going to come out with a single bench design. Other than that, is there anything else different about them compared to their 2/3 bench stock? Compared to Millennium Flyers? Timerliners?
  17. The first turn on Beast was re-profiled to bank the turn as it was un-banked prior to opening to the public, but that was back in '79. I remember Don saying on the tour that all the structure is original.
  18. There's also the possibility they get a lot of good performers and find it tough to pick them out. Additionally, they were interviewing for the walk around cast and costumed characters as well, which, I imagine can also be tedious.
  19. The calls start in December according to the standard note they gave those who auditioned. March is the point where if you don't get said call, you aren't gonna get a part.
  20. Auditions went pretty well. Aside from one minor squeak when I tried to go high (I hit the note later though ), I am satisfied with what I played. I thought I sounded close to my best (given the pieces I had, pop music is stupid easy to play so its hard to find something to show off on). I'll be on pins and needles until March. I'm supposed to get a call by then if I'm chosen. silver2005- being patient. It was also cool to see behind the scenes at Kings Island Theater and International Street tucked away for the off-season. I didn't realize the fountain had so many...well...fountains (got to see it drained). Its also very odd hearing the park so quiet.
  21. Tomorrow morning is it! Feeling pretty confident now!
  22. When Fifth Third Arena and Cintas Center are hosting the events they're designed to host.
  23. What in the wide world of sports was I thinking when I posted that? I'd love to see Kings Island in the snow along with whatever else they'd throw in.
  24. The nerves are starting to creep in about Saturday. I have been getting a nice, bright sound at my band rehearsals this week.
