I think this thread has gone to plaid and has divided by 0. Bad dialogue- check. -
Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees

I now have this wonderful image of Don or Greg channeling their inner Julie Andrews and breaking out with The Sound of Music atop Diamondback, Beast, and/or the Eiffel Tower, choreography and camera panning included. -

As much as I like music involved with everything, what's music got to do with this? silver2005, now asking the questions. -

Or, you know, a coaster that's not a giga, or something not a coaster at all. -

Oh, so it is getting the new Vekoma trains (as seen on Sidewinder at Hershey from what Six Flags describes them). -

I don't even want to think of how a 'Decoding Terpy' thread would go. Though, I think it would end up with anyone involved with said thread going to Putz's. -

This entire page is pretty much a testament to why I wait until June at the earliest to make a trip to Sandusky. -
I don't think the fog wouldn't exactly fit now because it was meant to simulate the steam that comes from the catapult for a carrier launching aircraft.

Try being a psych major reading this thread. Some of the leaps of individual logic in some people astound me. All I'll say about the clues is this- most clues that KI PR has put out in the past has been quite literal, nothing that needed to be super encrypted or over interpreted. -
Question about Arrow Loopers...
silver2005 replied to ethancoaster's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^Partially true, but Vekoma looks like they took Arrow's track designs and smoothened them out (like on Vekoma's clones of Carolina Cyclone). I'm not sure the new Vekoma stock can take and/or the forces on riders would be different on the sharper corners and transitions on Arrows. -
Question about Arrow Loopers...
silver2005 replied to ethancoaster's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^Phantom's Revenge technically did, but it also had ~80% redesigned by Morgan. I can't think of an Arrow looper that has had it done. I know Vekoma has been outfitting their own designs (both Boomerangs and full circuit looping coasters) with new trains, but they have slightly different designs so they may not work on Arrows. The only 2 Arrow coasters that had slightly different sit down train designs are Canyon Blaster in Vegas and BGW's Drachen Fire. -
^Especially if Thrill_Biscuit or I are nearby with quarters.

Don't be so sure of that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bad_Wolf_%28roller_coaster%29 Big Bad Wolf is an Arrow suspended roller coaster, and it was closed because it could no longer be maintained. And I can think of a couple dozen Arrow coasters older and sometimes bigger than BBW that are still running. Just sayin'.
-
^Indeed. S&S, who absorbed Arrow, still makes parts for Arrow coasters. I also imagine Vekoma would be an option considering how similar a lot of their rides are to Arrow's.

I have a few questions concerning the neighborhood around KK and how to approach it. Should I be hiding valuables inside my car? Also, if I choose to go on one of their 9 pm closings, should I be leaving prior to that?
-
And not follow Goble.

I have a few questions regarding Kentucky Kingdom. On the issue of the neighborhood, should I treat it like a trip to Clifton and hide all the valuables in the car? Also, on the days they close at 9 (if I choose one of those dates), should I be making my way out of there prior to that? I'm thinking of a mid-June visit. I'll definitely be going with the out-of-state ticket discount.
-
Paying the difference also includes the extra amount if you got the pass at a discount (like they do at P&G Day). A few years ago, I renewed during that day for only $70, but I had to fork over the extra $120 or so to get to platinum.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
silver2005 replied to jcgoble3's topic in Kings Island
There was an ejection on New Texas Giant and Lightning Rod at Dollywood is having delays in opening. Texas Giant is the only real issue. Lightning Rod is due to the fact that they're putting new technology onto something wooden. Launched lift on a wooden coaster has never been done before. They want to make sure it's done properly. Maverick has a launched lift hill. The fact that its wood (or rather, steel, IMO) shouldn't be an issue. The technology has been around for decades now (and has in fact been added to many wooden coasters in the form of magnetic brakes). Strapping LIMs/LSM's to any coaster shouldn't be that much of an issue anymore. B&M just did it for the first time to their newest model and it opened on time. As for NTAG, RMC was in as much in a position as Gerstlauer to make sure it shouldn't of had an ejection and didn't. -
