  1. ^Its especially important on the Red side, where it comes super close to the WindSeeker queue.
  2. That skyline always brings a smile to my face when I'm driving up the peninsula.
  3. Did Kings Island say whether or not they're repaving the parking lot or is there any evidence of such going on? I mean, it's going to be straight up gravel in a few years the way its deteriorating.
  4. Because Timberliners are working soooo well for Hades 360... (Looks at most recent Mitch Hawker poll) Oops.
  5. I hope those lights come in red, as I think a certain hyper coaster in Rivertown could use such lights.
  6. I'll put this another way- With the park's ineptitude at PR, do you really expect any of them would be any good at designing stuff on No Limits?
  7. I rather liked the DJ's Cedar Point utilized back in the late 90's. They were engaging with guests and made for a positive line experience if ever there was one.
  8. I doubt Kingda Ka would be open at those temperatures, but imagine the wind chill at 128+ mph.
  9. Though, if you're sitting in the last car and get a gust of wind in the right direction...
  10. I hear a lot of people that say they avoid Diamondback to avoid getting wet.
  11. I do have to say I love to play all three of these. But alas, I must keep to the poll. Seeing a lot of love for the band from Liverpool.
  12. I was wondering when PTC was going to come out with a single bench design. Other than that, is there anything else different about them compared to their 2/3 bench stock? Compared to Millennium Flyers? Timerliners?
  13. The first turn on Beast was re-profiled to bank the turn as it was un-banked prior to opening to the public, but that was back in '79. I remember Don saying on the tour that all the structure is original.
  14. There's also the possibility they get a lot of good performers and find it tough to pick them out. Additionally, they were interviewing for the walk around cast and costumed characters as well, which, I imagine can also be tedious.
  15. The calls start in December according to the standard note they gave those who auditioned. March is the point where if you don't get said call, you aren't gonna get a part.
  16. Auditions went pretty well. Aside from one minor squeak when I tried to go high (I hit the note later though ), I am satisfied with what I played. I thought I sounded close to my best (given the pieces I had, pop music is stupid easy to play so its hard to find something to show off on). I'll be on pins and needles until March. I'm supposed to get a call by then if I'm chosen. silver2005- being patient. It was also cool to see behind the scenes at Kings Island Theater and International Street tucked away for the off-season. I didn't realize the fountain had so many...well...fountains (got to see it drained). Its also very odd hearing the park so quiet.
  17. Tomorrow morning is it! Feeling pretty confident now!
  18. When Fifth Third Arena and Cintas Center are hosting the events they're designed to host.
  19. What in the wide world of sports was I thinking when I posted that? I'd love to see Kings Island in the snow along with whatever else they'd throw in.
  20. The nerves are starting to creep in about Saturday. I have been getting a nice, bright sound at my band rehearsals this week.
  21. Holiday Party link- http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/30887-holiday-party-2015-dec-11-12/
  22. Here is the poll I said I would put out regarding one of my songs. I want to throw in a slower number and I think I have a few good ones.
  23. I just had the BEST news concerning auditions. They are allowing sax auditions on either alto or tenor sax, so I don't need to have both. If you see smoke coming from the west side of Cincy, its likely me prepping my songs for the audition sessions next weekend. So, SO excited!
  24. Another possible benefit with putting the Flyers on Beast is to have GCI come in and re-profile turns and let it run unaffected by trims. I'd also do a bit something different with the brake shed before the 2nd tunnel.
  25. My only issue with adding Millennium Flyers (that's what those are BTW) would be capacity. With how long it is and how the block sections are spread from lift 1 until lift 2, it needs to be a capacity monster. I have yet to see GCI go above 24 rider capacity with Millennium Flyers. GhostRider itself is reducing from 28 to 24 per train with this though its not as big a difference as Beast plus its significantly shorter. I do see a lot of benefit with switching from the PTC's if KI ever deems them unfit for the ride.
