  1. I'd also add that there's more to do around KD than Carowinds. Colonial Williamsburg and Virginia Beach are relatively close, and you're also not too far from DC and everything there.
  2. ^Its a start, but I'm talking more about adding shade to that area as a whole. Before the 2006 Nick Universe expansion, the back of the kids' area was pretty well shaded. It's become a concrete jungle since, not exactly good for the target demographic in peak summer heat. It's kind of a parkwide problem IMO sans Rivertown, especially in the CF era.
  3. I hope they go off of KD's and Carowind's Camp/Planet Snoopys and plant some more trees. I really love Carowinds Camp Snoopy with the aura the trees provide. It's one of my favorite areas of the park.
  4. CP was the one that chose to reboot TT2, so of course they're on the hook regardless of who built it. The TTD incident is still pretty fresh.
  5. Disregard this post. For some reason I thought I saw water features in the concept art and realized it was the flume included in it that made me think it. Carry on.
  6. I was able to catch someone like this during Haunt one time, but not for line jumping, but for thinking the Diamondback lower switchback queue was a public restroom. They had security at the exit of Diamondback and ejected him after he disembarked (was on the same train as me and the other guests who collaborated the story). So as much as we think reporting line jumpers is a hopeless endeavor, it can be done successfully.
  7. Considering that both CP's and Zamperla's reputations are on the line for TT2, I imagine anything like this will be quite thorough.
  8. ^^Is it a mild fear or is it on par with acrophobia?
  9. Isn't the Skyline in Coney Mall with touch screens? Did they switch it to people on registers again? Also, do they have physical tickets for the orders they're making or is it on screens? They could just be bad at keeping the tickets in order if its actually on paper. My first Skyline job was like that, though, Skyline restaurants do it where each person is at a specific station, doing strictly ways, coneys, etc. KI does it assembly line style which is really unnecessary. I do get its early in the season, and it took me a while to get it down when I was first training at Skyline, but 30 minutes seems excessive.
  10. Reading the description of the Tower Coaster, it seems the concept creator was on the same drugs as the person at Arrow who created the 4D coaster. Though, its actually a ride used in RCT3.
  11. Boom Boom sauce doesn't sound suggestive in the slightest.
  12. We're the school groups the ones that stay all day or the ones that leave early which empties the park like the parting of the Red Sea?
  13. Now I'm imagining KI copying the Paris Eiffel Tower more by putting a gift shop at the top. New merchandise department requirement- must not have acrophobia.
  14. Maybe put it at mutliple locations? Could Chicken Shack or Coney BBQ pull it off?
  15. ^I saw something to combine the lores of Tomb Raider/Crypt, Beast and Mystic Timbers.
  16. So update- I finally landed another Skyline job as I wanted something familiar given the situation I'm in, and its likely I'll get a KI only gold pass next month. I'm going to suck it up and not add anything to it and spread my in-park meal expenses and minimal FL usage over the season and not all up front as I can't afford the later. I know I've said I was possibly skipping for other reasons, but given the stress of how I've been between jobs, I need this to kind of reward myself. Not doing all-park, I wanted to do CP initially but $$$ isn't conducive to that plan. I might do a KK or HW day trip though.
  17. I recall the original TTD allowing loose articles? I remember having them on my person when I last rode it in 2018, and those were some of the most minimal restraints ever. The new trains look to have a wider lap bar, too, so WTH? I think parks should start making ride designers make their products more loose article friendly, at least when it comes to things like car keys, phones, various cards, etc. One of my pet peeves with the industry is this whole war against loose articles which just makes things more aggravating than they should.
  18. The other thing that's been bothering me about the bad PR is that the Cedar Fair, Kings Island, and Cedar Point higher-ups allowed for such bad PR.
  19. Hershey's still sounds harder. Its this Hershey Kiss shaped symbol on the wristband that you have to line up with the subsequent Kiss on the scanner, and its facing on the wristband makes you twist your arm around awkwardly.
  20. Looks easier than Hershey's scanner where you have to line up the band with the scanner a certain way.
  21. I do get not integrating lockers into the line as the space in the TT2 infield is at a premium between the queue and transfer track and there isn't a lot of space for new access points. Also, is TT2 still using a 2 station system?
  22. I think a lot of locals have high expectations for KI opening day with how well Reds opening day is done each year. The Reds set a very high bar for how to start a season.
  23. Not all that abnormal. The Reds, Bengals, and Bearcats practice that on gamedays all the time.
  24. The best comparison is to Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom which has a similar layout to the Hurler twins (I've ridden both), but TR has tighter corners, higher and better shaped bunny hop and camelback hills thus having better lateral and negative Gs and better pacing. The Hurler twins are too drawn out and forceless.
