For a few years, that was my favorite thing in the park.

What we have here (for the first time in a long time) is a gen-u-ine off-season mystery!

How cool would be be to be able to rummage through the areas where they have all the old stuff hidden away?

I have read several posts in the past about the cost of fuel being a reason to take out DoT (and also the antique cars). I wouldn't think that the cost of fuel for those rides would even scratch the surface of the cost of electricity to yank the many-ton coaster trains up a lift hill.

Fantastic pics! I never get tired of seeing pics of the park from these years. It's really hard to fathom.

Planes? Did someone say geometry?

My guess is that the water tower is already history.

I just noticed that a few minutes ago!

I was mainly wondering about the area where you order your food. It looks like, in the pic above, that there's a lot of "open" areas in the building that seems like are closed in now...

Did they enclose the interior of it when they remodeled it?

If this is true, the other stuff everyone else has been talking about has just been one big...nevermind, I'm not saying it!

Will there be any running/walking races at Kings Island this year?

What a shame.

I try to imagine what it would have been like to witness something on the scale of Kings Island develop in the middle of a field in Southern Ohio.

I meant for the park that installs them. So labor intensive, from the beginning to the end of the life cycle of the ride.

The profits associated with installing a roller coaster must be astounding.
