  1. At one time, TR:TR was my favorite ride at Kings Island. Nothing like I'd ever (or since) experienced!
  2. I'm glad you liked them! I'm already looking forward to 2013!
  3. I was going through some photos, and realized I hadn't posted pics from this trip…I love how the park looks during the summer! Thanks for looking!
  4. I'm trying to imagine how much money was spend creating that amount of tra$h...
  5. 1 1/2 hours. I can't imagine what it would be like to grow up within minutes of Kings Island. As an adult, I'd even be pumped about it, but as a kid, I would think it would be hard to think about much else!
  6. I've walked through DA once last season, and once this season, and really enjoyed it. I hope Kings Island continues to put in different "attractions"…something unique without it having to be a ride…kind of like they've always done.
  7. Hopefully not for the same reason that the record for rides on SoB won't change!
  8. I think there'a fine line between doing and learning about something because it's fun and interesting, and running into the ground.

  10. Drop Tower 2006 Invertigo 2006 Diamondback 2009 Firehawk 2009 Viking Fury 2011 (that makes me sad!)
  11. I wouldn't. Those are too complicated. I would much rather a woodie where it plugs itself into the rest of the park, similar to a puzzle piece. Maybe they could include a playset next to it, where children can play. It's been mentioned on here that some posts offer more than what they seem…I think this might be one of those times.
  12. Good or bad, this has to be one of the most significant things to happen to Kings Island since they got tired of the Ohio River flooding Coney Island. I'm not sure that enough people realize the full gravity of what is happening (that pun WAS intended to lessen the weight of my post).

The thrilling part for me when riding the backwards Racer was that I always felt like the train, when going down a hill, was going to flip end over end, like the back of the train was just going to come off the tracks.
  14. Despite everything that's transpired in the last few years (including reading the threads on here), I am still shocked when I see pictures of SoB being torn down. It doesn't seem very long ago at all when it was new, and I was riding it for the first time (June of 2000).
  15. Wow, if they left a few pieces of it up here and there, what a creepy Halloween Haunt area that could be...
  16. Does anyone else my age (mid to late 30s) remember when beggars night was banned for several years? I only got to go a few times when I was very young.
  17. And, really, I'm not complaining. I'm always thankful for the times I get to go to Kings Island, as well for the times in the past that I've gotten to go.
  18. I was kind of disappointed about there not being an announcement about something new in 2013. Then, with the park promoting SoB's destruction, I get it now. It can't be cheap to remove something of that size, so, in effect, they have announced 2013's (very expensive) attraction: the empty land that SoB used to sit on!
  19. From Labor Day 2004:
  20. I think you're Twisted.
