Despite everything that's transpired in the last few years (including reading the threads on here), I am still shocked when I see pictures of SoB being torn down. It doesn't seem very long ago at all when it was new, and I was riding it for the first time (June of 2000).

Wow, if they left a few pieces of it up here and there, what a creepy Halloween Haunt area that could be...

Does anyone else my age (mid to late 30s) remember when beggars night was banned for several years? I only got to go a few times when I was very young. -
And, really, I'm not complaining. I'm always thankful for the times I get to go to Kings Island, as well for the times in the past that I've gotten to go.

I was kind of disappointed about there not being an announcement about something new in 2013. Then, with the park promoting SoB's destruction, I get it now. It can't be cheap to remove something of that size, so, in effect, they have announced 2013's (very expensive) attraction: the empty land that SoB used to sit on!

I think you're Twisted.

^ I wouldn't say that asking for it is very hard at all!

On a completely unrelated note, someone really needs to start the "land where SoB used to reside" thread... No matter what you thought of SoB…

I've just thought since it was installed, WindSeeker looks so…complicated. I was really surprised they picked that ride, let alone install multiple ones. It does have a very strong visual presence, which, I imagine, is a big reason as to why it was chosen.

For some reason, I'm not able to find it....

I just checked my iPad 2, and sure enough, the YouTube app has vanished...

As much as I hate to see them have to remove it, I am as much excited about the next couple years.

Comparing the areas shown in the '82 pic to the present is truly sickening.

Fantastic pic! Thanks for sharing that!

I would love to tour Kings Island during the offseason, hopefully when they'd have a lotof projects going on.

I haven't been on here lately, and this was so shocking when I read this. I feel like I knew him from reading his posts. I am sure he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I had forgotten about that one. The main thing is that the lady got hurt, which is a terrible thing. If I remember correctly, that case hinged on the idea that McD's coffee was too hot…still not sure about that one, with so many places that serve hot coffee…would that situation ended the same way if it was a small donut shop (for example)?

I think the ghosts of all the animals that used to be a part of Adventure Village are haunting Action Zone! (or should it be called "right-now-not-so-much-Action Zone"?)

The walk back through the park after and end-of-the night Beast ride is almost as good as the ride itself! I think it's neat walking through the dark, empty park…but maybe that's just me .

Diamondback was built on a place in the park that I couldn't have fathomed that they would put a ride (although I always thought something much, much smaller might be neat over swan lake). On the other hand, it seems like a lot of members of this site seem to think that if SoB is dismantled, another coaster would take it's place. Where in Kings Island is a place where you could picture something being installed that might be an area that most people wouldn't expect?

^How neat would Flight Deck be as a dark ride!!
