I hope they're there a long time! I think Dinosaurs Alive is one of the most impressive things I've seen at Kings Island.

I love The Beast and Flight Deck. I guess my perfect coaster would be a combination of the two. Low to the ground, going through the trees, and long!

I think the Bier Garten remodel has gotten kind of overlooked this season with everything else going on, but it does look amazing.

I think I'm a little different when it comes to being freaked out about rides. If I walked into Kings Island right now and walked up to DT, I'd be like "no way"!! Freaks me out just to look at it. However, I've ridden it twice (still can't believe that), and I wasn't the slightest bit bothered either time I rode it.

I looked at Kings Island's operating schedule, and I may be wrong, but this is an unusual date for the park to be open…a week after Labor Day weekend, and the park closed for a private event on the Friday and Saturday before. Very cool! Possibly the best weather of the year is during early September, and have always wished the park was open during that time.

I never got around to doing a TR, so I thought I'd make a video. That was a really fun event, especially for someone who enjoys running AND Kings Island. Also had a chance to talk to Greg Scheid at the Reds Grille!!

Even though I've watched it a few times before, I sat and watched the whole thing again (seems like there's some new clips in the above video). In the video, Gary says that when they put in The Racer, the new theme parks were getting away from coasters at that time. What were they putting in??

The Racer is named because it…races. The Beast was named because the project became a "beast" (at least I think I read that). Gatekeeper is the keeper of the front gate at CP. Should this new ride be called "Bad Memory Eraser"?

I'd like to be able to see what goes into planning and designing a ride or attraction. Since I'm not an employee of the amusement or construction business, it'll probably never happen, though.

... And I just rode it Wednesday! How appropriate. One of my top favorites. Maybe my favorite. I've ridden it almost every year since it opened. I still remember All of the extensive theming, including the ride ops in flight suits!

Too many things going on this weekend and couldn't commit to coming to this event. Looks like everyone had a good time. Can't believe it's been almost five years since I attended the Diamondback construction tour KIC event!
