Guys.. chill out about that trademark crap. It literately means nothing when it comes to the announcement date. Nothing. In addition, the only thing the trademark means is a possible name for a Cedar Fair attraction or restaurant or key chain. Or Cedar Fairs new clothing line. So in reality, it means nothing.

I'm contemplating making the 4 hour drive right now to figure out what is going on. I vote that someone figures it out for me so I don't have to make that drive happen. Sound good? Good. Don't everyone jump up at once now.

I can completely see where YoungStud is coming from on this one. A KIC wristband would be a great idea!! I, too, have opted out of wearing a KIC shirt. And I agree with Birdy that there definitely is a line you have to walk when meeting people for the very first time. That's why it can be intimidating to identify yourself as an enthusiast.

You will learn very quickly. Those who know, won't talk. Those who talk, won't know.

"One person on the forum knows where to stop. #NotSayingWho" in response to Don's round and round tweet. Looks like Boddah knows more than we do and so does an unknowing forum member.

Its funny, cause I remember that like it was yesterday.. but it wasn't. Now I just feel old.

Well to be fair, when I first started posting on the site, some probably would have classified me as a troll. Within my first month of being here, I had made my way into two or three peoples signatures and created a thread to petition the correct spelling policy on the site. Lol. But I feel like in my 4-5 years on the site, I have grown into a civilized, productive member and have had a heck of a time getting to know a lot of you. So, first I want to thank the mods for giving me ample chances and not being so quick to ban. Secondly, all new members should think before they post. And all members that have been here for awhile should just chill out a little. I know its hard sometimes, but it'll be alright in the end.

Drop Tower most feared ride at Kings Island?
FOFreak replied to Coaster Addict's topic in Kings Island
I can honestly say that about every other time I go to the park, I just skip it. And when I do ride it, I curse like a sailor the entire time. Its just the height. Its just crippling. I'm normally not too afraid of heights, but for some reason, the simple fact that only a small clip below my waist is saving me from certain death is just terrifying. NOTE: Yes. I know that the actual ride is probably much, much safer than what I imagine. Yet the thought is just part of the terror. Honestly, Diamondback, WindSeeker, and Firehawk all scare me because of the restraints. I always imagine something unexpected happening and the restraints fail on me and I fall out and die. Lol -
Barcodes for B&M do vary for each project to a certain degree. WI = Wing Coaster, LC=Flying Coaster, IC2=Inverted Coaster, SC=Sitting Coaster, DM= Dive Coaster, FC=Floorless Coaster. Following that follows a letter going alphabetically (Heide Park is the 7th Wing Coaster, hence the code is WI-G). Some letters are skipped as they can look like numbers and B&M doesn't want confusion. The track piece that Don tweeted also has the WI-G code on it. This pretty much proves that the piece has absolutely nothing to do with our project. Because WI-G is already attributed to Hiede Park's Wing Coaster. Well played Don, well played.
-
Ahh crap, it seems someone already beat me to it. I came to the forum as soon as I saw the tweet. I have a question. Do those barcode numbers vary for each project or for every segment of track? Because if the answer is the latter, what are the chances that the track segment that our friend posted on the forum (that was supposed to go to Hiede Park) are actually coming here? I believe that if the codes vary for each segment, Don saw that picture on here and just posted that to screw with us.

I know this may be a little off the wall. Just bare with me. We all have seen Kinzel and the rest of Cedar Fair throw themeing to the way-side for years. And now that we have Mr. O behind the wheel, does anyone else think that his Disney background could mean some much needed themeing for the next addition? I certainly hope so. But could one man really make that much a difference? Especially with an issue like themeing, something that many park goers wouldn't bat an eyelash at. Yet others just adore.

I left a pack of Mountain Dew at the Trailer Tower and have been meaning to go back and get it for awhile now. Or dozens of packs.

I have done some research, and isn't it true that there must be proof of use before it can actually be trademarked? So if this is the case, keychains/magnets have already have been produced with the Banshee logo on them. Someone care to elaborate and tell me if I am correct or not?

I like an odd genre of music. I've heard it referred to as post-hardcore (whatever that means; I think it's mostly like rock) and then I like alternative and indie. I'm not much for genres, so I'll just name artists. Gimme a shout out if you like any! Of Mice & Men, The Devil Wears Prada, August Burns Red, Chiodos, Pierce The Veil, A Day To Remember, old school Attack Attack, Panic at The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Blink-182, Transit, Set Your Goals, and a ton of others. (I was going to name more. But I could seriously go on for days.) I'm a huge music guy.

In all seriousness, there is quite a bit of activity directly behind Slingshot. My first instinct is to say station, because that is similar to what Diamondbacks preliminary station looked like. But what puzzles me is that if you look hard enough, you can see three triangularly organized circular footers ready to be filled. If that's right, that will be the first circular footers among our square ones. In addition, there is alot of stakes in the ground to the right of the towards Adventure Express. (I thought I saw a small circular footer there already poured, but its too blurry zoomed in that far to firmly say yay or nay.)

Maybe some of us KICers will camp out and wait for Banshee on Opening Day

HW: Matt Eckert named new President and CEO
FOFreak replied to TombRaiderFTW's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I have no problem with the bag checks. It makes me feel safer. I've done it three times already and every single time they were very polite and nice about it. And on a tangent, I'm surprised that mo one has mentioned it yet, but there is some strange construction going on where the Freedom Train is. (well it seems to no longer be.) They gutted the whole ride and there is no longer any tracks and they are removing all the statues. There is also a ton of survey markers everywhere over there. The best view of the digging can be from the highway right across from Holidog Funtown. I shall post some pictures later. -
As do I. But some do not. I think Cedar Fair would agree with us as well. And when it comes to Kings Island in 2014, that is all that matters.
-
Look, Intamin builds some VERY nice rides. But downtime with Intamin is just too often. No one is disputing the quality of Intamin rides, but the reliability of these rides is the problem. In addition, I don't think the general public cares and/or even is aware of who the ride manufacturer is.

I leave for one day and this is what happens.. this is why we can't have nice things.

The footings to the right in this photo look like the transfer track that everyone has been talking about and I agree with that, but what on earth is to the left and bottom? My first assumption is station but not that I'm observing closer, I have absolutely no idea. Does anyone? EDIT: I would LOVE some more high res photos of the whole area. Because I think I vaguely see some footers or something in the far back right section of the clearing. As well as quite a bit of new activity right behind Slingshot. (looks somewhat similar to Diamondback's early station work) along with alot of stakes in that area. Disclaimer: Everythings blurry zoomed in, so I'm just assuming here. My eyes may be deceiving me.

^Bigger is not always better. Unless your Intamin. Then ehh, sure, why not.

Lol and there was still bickering about peoples bickering I see. Some things never change
