But is it their responsibility to do something about a ride that injures people on a regular basis? People aren't going to think "Oh, look at that wooden coaster. It'll probably hurt me, but I'll ride it anyway.", they think "That looks fun!" or "That looks scary!". Nobody goes on a rollercoaster expecting for it to hurt, except Ninja at SFOG.

At my lunch table today: Friend: "So, I went to the Paramount yesterday, and I rode the Diamondback." Me: "For one, Kings Island was not open yesterday. Second, it's Diamondback."

When I rode it this season, it was walkon for the front seat.

You know, if you used TweetDeck, you should be able to tweet and change the Facebook page's status at the same time...

The main thing that I will miss is the level of theming. The reptar statue, the cutouts, the ride veichles shaped like characters... it's a shame that PS probably won't be as well themed.

I don't see a news story about SoB's collapse, but I also don't see a news story about the death during the construction of Flight of Fear...

#1: Diamondback. The airtime and fast straightaway. Woot. #2: The Beast. So much more could have been done with the speed of the second lift instead of just going back to the station. At least a few hills...

Whether it's leaving or not I don't understand why they did that. Debating about SoB's future is fun! I don't know what KIC would be like without it, lol..

SoB has been "fixed" before, most recently in 2006. Throwing money at a problem will not fix it. 6. Yes, but if the bolt was removed, water could seep into the gate and eventually damage it. The front one is just wire tied... 7. And make a new rig to hold the CB sign up?

Agreed. No one knows anything yet. Let's see, I know that... 1. They have sold all the SoB mechandise for nickels. Even The Crypt stuff is still normal price. In fact, Scooby and Nick stuff was more expensive than the final SoB firesale. 2. KI will not say anything about the future of the ride. 3. SoB has caused many problems for the park since 2000. 4. Many people have had bad experiences on the ride. 5. KI has said that they are not happy with the way that the ride operates. 6. The exit gate has been permanantly gated off. 7. The logo has actually been removed from the crate. Yeah, let's not get the facts get in the way...

However, you had an option to ride it forwards if you wanted to. Those of us who liked/didn't get to ride backwards don't have the option of riding it backwards. Another case of CF ignoring guest satisfaction for a few $$$.
