  1. I'm glad that they're at least trying to take the spitting problem seriously now. Kudos to KI security!
  2. Nails in the coffin for SoB: 1. Merchandise on clearance 2. Being virtually untouched since its closing 3. "It would be inappropriate to speculate when it may reopen..." (not exact quote) 4. Possibility of future incidents 5. The ride's reputation Reasons to re-open SoB: 1. Record-breaker 2. Fun ride to some 3. Increases # of coasters for the park 4. Tearing it down would be expensive 5. Money put into it since 2006 accident Feel free to add...
  3. A friend called the side of The Racer which wasn't running during our visit (Blue) the "White Racer", since she had heard me call the red side "Red Racer". She also called Action Theater "Attraction Theater".
  4. This poll was totally necessary.
  5. I don't think that's a real IIS page. It uses a image used in Windows advertising... and "Cedarfair LP"? Red herring...
  6. Then, there'd be a huge concrete field with *no* point whatsoever. I'd love to see a better logo put on the water tower, though. Or, at least, the Action Zone logo put back up. But, I know better.
  7. That is very, very wise. So is that.
  8. FH reopened immediately after being cleared. SoB hasn't.
  9. It could. Some bright colored flowers around the water tower instead of concrete could do wonders for the look of the area.
  10. I think Invertigo is fun, but I've probably only ridden it three times this season. I just can't see waiting that long when I could wait less time for DB or FoF, both of which I enjoy more.
  11. Action Zone needs some benches under the queue area shades (like in DB, BLSC, and Delirium's line). It needs something to be done about the SoB/FD/combined exit area. Maybe, in addition to "Son of Beast ENTRANCE", they could add signs saying "Flight Deck ENTRANCE" and "Exit Only". The Action Zone logo could be put on the water tower instead of the KI one (or, at least, the red and blue KI logo and not the CF logo one). Also, a new coat of paint on Stunt Crew Grill, Action Blast, and On Location would do wonders for the look of the area- the red has faded quite a bit. In terms of new rides, if SoB were to be removed, a new woodie or a few flats could be put in its spot. Maybe an Enterprise and S&S swing?
  12. Well, it was originally meant to say that SoB was an epic fail, but when that got Ministry of Truth'd, I switched to the one with just SoB and Paramount's blurred. Now, for this one. I really didn't mean the "SoB is Paramount's Epic Fail" to be incredibly mean, it was meant to be slightly humorous in the same way as the "The goddess is angry because of what Cedar Fair has done to The Crypt" one. Apparently, not everyone saw it that way. Ah, well, I guess there's no reason to argue about it.
  13. Well, really, it should have been turned off the day it closed.
  14. Hey, if I were the ride, I would have booed! (I got Terpedoed... aww!)
  15. I noticed that Action Theater's spiel is working. I noticed that SoB's queue spiel has been (finally) turned off... I think.
  16. Well, most of the times I've ridden, when asked "how was your ride?" most of the riders booed.
  17. Is my current avatar now considered "appropriate" now?
  18. As of yesterday, Action Theater has a spiel with Mr. Krabbs doing the usual safety announcments. Is that new?
  19. Having proper trains would increase the speed of the ride, which would most likely mean the addition of a trim. Hunting uses energy, which takes away from the speed of the ride.
  20. My dad after riding Dodgems: "Those were the slowest bumper cars I've ever seen!" I love it when non-enthusiasts realize things like that...
  21. SoB is a beautiful structure, I'll give it that. I really hope that, if SoB isn't removed, that it will be majorly overhauled. Making the track the regular width could possibly help with the problems with the cars hunting. Having new trains could also possibly help. I do like the G-trains (love the lapbar, compared to PTC single bars), though.
  22. DB's transfer track is box-track.
  23. I saw a group walking down SoB/FD's exit ramp expecting to get into the queue for SoB. I guess if there's a "Sorry, this ride is closed" sign, just try the other path... hmm.
