The Beast is unique- there's other coasters that try to prowl and dash through the woods, but there'll never be anything else like The Beast.

My Thoughts on Cedar Point vs Kings Island
CedarPointer replied to Kevin James's topic in Kings Island
Flight Deck vs... RAPTOR?! What happened to Iron Dragon?!?! That's like comparing Son of Beast to the Mine Ride... oh, wait... -
The CF site still says 16th... FAIL!

The Crypt so much potential. So little time...
CedarPointer replied to Atomheartmother616's topic in Coming Attractions
I noticed that the work lights in the queue are now on all the time. Not that big of a deal, it's probably because of the "inappropriate activity" that had been going on. The demonbat actually works now, but that's not necessarily a good thing- it seems to always roar right in the middle of the boarding spiel, so nobody pays attention once it roars. :| -
Yes, they do, and they have for a few years, I think.
-
I noticed that, in AE's final tunnel, the second... um... fist pounding man... on the right has one eye that doesn't work, and one of his arms doesn't work. The third one on the right has an eye that changes color too fast.

When you can NOT get into preferred pakring after paying for it

Hmm, that's up there with "no reentry during Haunt". -
Changes to Dueling Dragons?

I don't know why they're messing with something that's popular. It's so... bizzaro. -
He was right, it was in Missouri http://rcdb.com/id125.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_King_Mine_Train

I think he means the one that had Arrow standup trains. But that wasn't at EXT at Wolds of Fun.

The Crypt was so empty yesterday, you'd think people had died on it- the longest I waited was when the line started at the end of the tunnel, with none of the switchbacks open! I love some of the guest comments at TC, especially about the ride program change. "THAT WAS HORRIBLE!! WE DIDN'T EVEN GO UPSIDE DOWN!" "Someone fell out, so they had to change it." "That was worse than Reptar!" "There's more, right?" "I hate Cedar Point."

I don't think BLSC has bins, either. Not sure about that one.

Wikipedia says 2003, but I'm not sure if that's right.

Or it could simply be a projector issue that'll be resolved. From the looks of it, they simply had a portable projector on top of the normal one, which would explain the poor picture quality. If it were permanent, I'd think that the normal one would just be gone altogether. The ride still draws in guests, but, much like the Crypt, won't draw in as many if they continue to operate it in the way that they currently do... (how long has SB3D been there, again?)

Cedar Point Employee Reported Missing...
CedarPointer replied to RailRider's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think they'd be able to find him if he had gotten hit by a coaster's train. :| -
I'm not sure why they couldn't ever reopen Side B, the ride system is still being made (SimEx Iwerks TurboRide), so replacement parts shouldn't be incredibly hard to find. It's kind of sad that what was once a major attraction has now been reduced to a pseudo-kiddie ride.
-
I just want to know how most of the SimEx Iwerks movies got leaked onto the internet...
-
I'd just like to see them work with SimEX iWerks for a 4D movie with coasters from other CF parks. I'd even rather see this than the current movie: The video that they were showing was really poor quality. It was worse than the Youtube version of SB3D! (although, AT has gotten me used to hearing "Are you ready are you ready kids?")

I got to the park around 12:30. Rode DB once, the line was only like 20min long. Since I was already in the area, I decided to finally get that last credit and ride Reptar. Line jumper alert! Even the little ones are doing it these days. Yes, I got line jumped by small children. After getting that Hang'n'Bang Jr credit (and getting the ride e-stopped, as apparently "KEEP FEET DOWN!!" means "KEEP FEET UP!!" on the lift hill), I went over to Adventure Express. Rode it twice, then went to Racer, then Vortex. Rode both of them once, then went to Action Theater. Wait, what? Yes, that's right- it's Spongebob Squarepants 2D! And, to make it funnier, the lights weren't working correctly (instead of fading out, they all just went out at the same time) and the motion was very out of sync! Oh joy! Action Theater has AC though, so I rode it twice. Rode Shake Rattle and Roll once, then the Dodgems. I went over to BLSC. They finally got around to removing that GOLD PASS SPEED LANE sign. I ran into two other KICers in line- I'm sure they were wondering why I was taking pictures of the sign, LOL. Is it just me, or does it seem like BLSC was designed in RCT? Just from the transitions, I mean. I find it fun, though. Next was The Crypt marathon! NO LINE. AT ALL. It wasn't even filling cycles. I rode it five or six times, I think. I noticed that the work lights in the queue are on, but the theming actually is pretty good until you get to the ride chamber. After that, I rode SDatHC twice, then FOC. Then left.

I got some good ones today. In line for Reptar: Guest: "Where's the other ride like this?" Me: "Do you mean Flight Deck or Firehawk?" Guest: "Whaaaaaaat?" In Action Theater exit area (Spongebob was running in 2D today) Guest: "Well, they're just getting lazy. First, they don't run both sides of The Raceway. Now, they won't show Spongepants in 3D! I hate Six Flags!" During Flashback Totally 80's, when Thriller starts playing: Small child: "But he's dead!"

"Credit Roller Coaster"

That is the best commercial ever. -
I once heard someone in front of the big Kings Island sign by the fountains ask where the Eiffel Tower was. She was completely serious.
