I liked the idea of Downtown Disney, but it lost so much character after Pleasure Island was closed and not replaced and they started removing cute little things like the old kaleidoscope.

To be fair, Disney Village was a really vague name as well.

I should add, I really wish Disney sold souvenir maps. I have a set of the ones you can send away for hung up in my room, but it's not as cool as, for example, Cedar Point's poster-sized version. Please? I'll settle for an old one that has Horizons and Journey Into Imagination on it!

The layout was supposed to invite exploration rather than planning out routes on a map. That's why, originally, there were no signs giving directions either. Also, there were originally trails through the undergrowth.

KI has international employees as well, but I don't think the park owns housing for them.

I, too, enjoyed that. Of course they should have just rolled out the red carpet for her. I hope her credit card never gets stolen, she'd have to learn the other side of identity theft. I loved that comment too, especially after having worked Admissions at KI for 10 years. I cannot tell you how many times I had to call Security for people using someone else's pass. You have to be able to brace yourself. I guarantee, if he was allowed to ride, his boat bumped the one in front of it, and he was injured because he couldn't brace himself against the lapbar properly, he'd begin litigation before he even exited the boat.
