Fire At Adventureland Iowa
CedarPointer replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
You could really tell. Adventureland didn't really remind me of any other park I've been to... and I mean that in a good way. I really hope that they recover. Even though my trip there was miserable in more ways than one (it had nothing to do with the park!), I really want to go back, and maybe I'd actually get to ride everything that I wanted to! -

I edited my post, it came across as a lot more harsh than it should have. I did ride it back in 2008, I think my opinion of it may have had more to do with actually waiting in a full queue for it (I rode it while the rest of my group was eating, since nobody else wanted to ride it) in the heat than anything. As a dark ride, I think it's pretty good. As a coaster, not as much, but it was okay for what it is. About Outlaw- I would have loved to have ridden it like this: (or maybe not!) -

I wouldn't say that, as a coaster, it's scary or extremely fun, but as a dark ride, it's pretty good. Starts at about 3:40 or so. -

Oh dear, at least it doesn't appear to have damaged Tornado or Outlaw. That's really sad, though... that park certainly had a unique atmosphere... and a unique wooden "coaster"! -
I hate being born in March... two weeks after the ****ing job fair. Looks like I'm screwed. (sorry, I just had to get that out. Continue with the celebrating!)

IIRC, the lift chain on the WhirlWind at Seabreeze Park in NY stops completely between vehicles.

I wonder why we have one of the Camp Snoopy costumes. I thought that PS was sorta-kinda space themed. Guess not. (personally, I think that having him in a ride op's uniform would be hilarious!)

California's Great America 2010 Map Released

So, basically, we might get that as a replacement for Bikini Bottom Bash. -
Whoops... I have no idea why I put that. Fixed! That sounds like a really fun project!

Face/Off Invertigo is very visible from the parking lot.

Two questions: 1. I got an email in January saying that I need to email the park back to set up an interview when I turn 16, because they can't interview me until I'm 16. I also got an email inviting me to the job fair, which happens before I turn 16. I'm assuming I'm not supposed to go the the job fair... is that correct? 2. Since I'm obviously still in high school, and I need to fill out a work permit (assuming that I'm offered a job), does the park need all of the paperwork for the permit or just the permit that my school gives me itself?

That was a totally different type of ride.

I looked on archive.org, and it hasn't been on there since CF took over.

California's Great America 2010 Map Released
CedarPointer replied to TH13TEEN 's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
We're always last, for some reason. -
That's not what he meant. He meant vehicles driving on the pedestrian park paths, acting like taxis, shuttling guests around the park.

I don't think it means SoB is not opening. They could have made it sound like the same number and start counting Racer as two coasters, and I'm sure they'd do that instead of dropping their count by one.

World's most popular beagle arrives at Kings Island
CedarPointer replied to coaster_junky's topic in Kings Island
Really? I've never seen the characters out in the rain, so I assumed the costumes weren't waterproof. The more I know! -

I wonder how badly they wrecked the costume by bringing out in the snow and getting it wet... -
Son of Beast: You Make Me Sick - Egypt Central (actually, that might go better for Monster)

I believe so... they also use music from Independence Day on The Beast's first lift hill.

I had been using this link and doing a Save As on the music.
