KENTUCKY KINGDOM CLOSED
CedarPointer replied to PKIDelirium's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That's really sad. I guess I should have gone last summer. -
And you can see "Domini" on the other side of the raft.
-
Says Mr. Hugh More. Remember, CF came up with "Beaver Land Mine Ride".
-
I recieved an email saying that the park would like to interview me, but can't until I am actually 16, and to email them back two weeks before my birthday. It seems like he should be okay to apply, but he probably couldn't start the season, since he can't even be interviewed until April.
-
The sad is that that particular slogan may have actually come up as an idea at one point.
-
I applied for a position in rides, but, since I don't turn 16 until March, they can't interview me until then. Oh well, I guess I still have a chance.
-
I really hope that Way Too Much TV features some newer theme songs- the Carmen Sandiego theme is a must! (where in the world is that woman, anyway?)
-
Wait: is Charlie Brown's Hoedown in the Festhaus or in NU? I'm confused now.
-
Just to be clear, you have ridden the "new" Crypt, right? With the "improved" ride experience?
-
Well... Snoopy Rocks, On Ice!: Besides the misplaced comma, this one might be okay. Anyone else expecting a renamed ESOI? (also, it leaves itself open to "Snoopy Sucks On Ice!", but I'll leave that one alone) Signed, Sealed, Delivered!: Yes! This one was amazing at CP! Hopefully KI's version will be as good. Way Too Much TV: This sounds pretty good... hopefully the selection of songs will be decent. Charlie Brown’s Hoedown: This sounds really bad. Down Home Country: Not my tastes, but okay then. Don't Stop the Music: Lame. When I saw this one, I didn't even realize the show was going on, I thought some rude teenagers were dancing around on the stage.

The goddess carving is still in place, along with many TRTR-themed carvings, including a triangle of light, in the holding area (you can only see them when the lights are all the way up). I can't imagine Paramount would have required them to remove the ride theming but not the other theming that was left... although, I guess anything's possible.
-
Or, they could have just kept the theming that was already there! CF should be absolutely ashamed of themselves in regards to The Crypt.
-
SoB has been open since 2000. If someone "just had to!" ride it, they would have by now.
-
Or they still have some left over from when they removed it all from the stores and they're trying to get rid of it.
-
"The Dumb and Only!" Nah.
-
Also... I have a feeling that many of those companies focus group tested many slogans which led them to use their current one. I highly doubt KI focus group tested theirs at all.
-
You're right. We're quite a bit more inclined to be fans of the park.
-
So you're saying that the shouldn't try to make a slogan that actually sounds appealing? If it "doesn't affect your 2010 visits to Kings Island", then why do they have a slogan at all?
-
Keep in mind the fact that they'll probably make a ton off of the shipping, if it's a flat rate for any item. (I don't see shipping info anywhere on the site...)

http://www.kimarketplace.com/Beast-Zippo-P122C10.aspx This gives me some ideas, but I already have a customized KI lighter... http://www.kimarketplace.com/T-Shirt-USB-Drive-500-MB-P120C10.aspx This is one of the cutest things I've seen on their site in a while! Too bad it's so small.
-
At this rate... 2010: "Kings Island: The Fun and Only" 2011: "Kings Island: Ride Till You Puke" 2012: "Kings Island: Under New Management"
-
Oh dear... that's really... bad.
-
"Resized to -Infinity%"?
-
Hahaha... KI wishes that. Think of how many repeat guests KI has that rode TRTR or even the 2008 Crypt. Imagine their surprise when they rode... well... that. I doubt that 100% of the people that replied to "how was your ride?" with "THAT SUCKED!" were enthusiasts (also notice that they seemed to stop asking that after a few weeks of Crypt 2009).
