I have never understood why the headbands get thrown off while going up the lift hill on The Beast. I would assume the people with long hair would want to keep their hair contained before going down hill? Do they bring extra hair bands just to throw out there?

Don must have saw this thread and tweeted about it. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/coasterstock

It may still be winter, but Kings Island is already thinking summer days, coasters, food, and shows by getting their positions filled now. Kings Island plans to hire more than 5,000 seasonal associates as it prepares to open for the 2022 season on April 16. Wages for seasonal positions range from $15.00–$18.50 per hour. Job opportunities are available for candidates ages 16+ in all park operating areas, including Rides, Merchandise, Park Services, Food and Beverage, Aquatics, Security, Guest Services and more. IN-PERSON HIRING EVENT: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12, FROM 10:00 A.M.– 4:00 P.M. To prepare for its 50th Anniversary season, Kings Island is holding an in-person hiring event at the park’s Human Resources building on Saturday, February 12, from 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. Walk-in applicants are welcome. To expedite the interview process, Kings Island recommends filling out an application before arriving by texting “FUN” to 97211 or visiting the park’s hiring site: visitkingsisland.com/jobs. “For the past fifty seasons of Kings Island’s operation, our seasonal associates have played such an important part in helping our guests create lasting memories during their visits,” said Kings Island Vice President and General Manager Mike Koontz. “Our competitive wages and benefits make Kings Island the employer of choice for summer employment, while helping our associates gain valuable experience and marketable skills for the future.” Kings Island offers flexible schedules and many perks for its associates, including discounts, reward and recognition programs, exclusive events and free admission to any Cedar Fair park.

We are always open to hear members ideas. Feel free to pm me your ideas and the mods can discuss it. -
Don't forget the whole focus of the event is for fans of the park to come enjoy being together. The rest is just a bonus. Don and Kyle do an awesome job of putting this event on and the popularity of the event shows that. Granted, maybe I'm partial because I met my wife at Coasterstock.

If you could ask Gravity Group a question about this project with the details we have already learned, what woud it be?
-
Per Don: Coasterstock 2022 will take place May 20-21 at Kings Island. Tickets will go on sale later this month. The exact date and time will be announced soon!

I am struggling to know what they missed with the autos? Gas station, bridge, pond with 2 fountains, signage that references old rides, and there is quite a bit of landscaping on the path. What else were your wanting them to do?
-
We are a fan site and not part of the park. You will have to contact the park for those arrangements. Here is the page to contact them. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/contact-us

Is that the official statement? That line made me laugh. I think I am most excited about the repaint of Racer with all we have learned so far about the 50th. What about the rest of you?

So there are 350 galleries we imported on the server. I have to get with @malem on the best method to import into the live galleries on KIC. I will get with Malem on the audio files and get them on a new page on the main site.

The photos have been imported on the server, we now have to go through them and integrate them into our galleries.

I almost made a post earlier saying I did not know DMX visited KI and had rode RFRLCB.
-
I agree with you, plus their methods were not that great. During the KI show, they were checking out WWC. They blamed everything out there on the trees and dismissed all accounts of reports. Not to say the trees were a factor in the "activity", but to totally dismiss the possibly of any real ghost activity reported by employees seemed very odd and disappointing. Maybe it was just me because that was the area I was hoping they would investigate the most besides the IR.

Here is the KIC gallery of RFYLCB, but did not see these light in any of the photos from the past. https://kicentral.com/photos/race-for-your-life-charlie-brown @TombraiderTy you have anything?

I hope the ride structure gets painted as well. Here is a pic from last year or the year before. I love seeing all the painting going on.

It has lasted this long, why close it now?
